@Poluk: on the one hand, Bittuji being in the theatre was jarring, but on the other, perhaps it was symbolic of his role in this couple's tempestuous life - he's always there, the loyal companion, the mute witness to key events that shape their lives.

Charu, yeah, it still baffles me that there were so many beautiful shots in that scene, and they went and showed new ones that had nowhere the same impact. And after seeing the BTS of the tea scene, amazing and confusing that they would edit out some of the nicest parts. And I have said enough about that particular shot of Madhu. Why? Oh Why?

Chakku - I too found that flashback narration quite remarkable. They really did an amazing job with that. Tangential thought, but after that theatre scene, when they moved to the conniving trio scene, it was jarring, for a moment, I felt like the spell was broken. But actually, it was a pretty effective way of storytelling. They really did a good job today.

Some random additional thoughts:
  • Maybe Bittuji should have said something more on the phone about Simmy's seductive behavior with RK, with the falling pallu etc. That might have been a quicker way to get Madhu to:
    1. Scratch Simmy's eyes out and
    2. Agree to act in the movie (since she had effectively put the heroine out of action) 🤣
  • Kukuji tries to get a rise out of MC, who essentially turns the tables on him with a few well-chosen words.
  • Loved how RK told Madhu in a roundabout way that she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Also reminded me of the Shamini sangeet, when he selected the same saree that she was wearing today, and told her pretty much the same thing.
  • So RK likes yellow for his raksha-dhaaga. But Madhu had already figured it out (scene a couple of days ago with Radhaji)

Excellent episode.😳

The Rishbala scenes were all superb - content, performance, characterization, everything.⭐️

RK's watching Madhu on that screen and then his words to her were poignant and wistful.
One may wonder whether his questions to Madhu on whether she would refuse to be the heroine even if asked by her husband was a plea or a try just in case she might prove to not be entirely averse to it.
Was it a test of a different sort - to test fate and see whether he is limiting his wife as an artist by not encouraging her into his own field, or whether he would be doing her an injustice in pushing her into something she very much dislikes for herself?
The hope that if she were not too averse, then he might push the point?

Loved the clarity in the way Madhu pointed out that even if she had not met RK or got married, she would not have been in the situation that he was envisioning because she did *not* want it.
Thank heaven RK didn't keep quiet and let the pressure build on her to answer after his question "if I, your husband, asked".
Madhu would probably agree if he asked her to risk life and limb as well - that is not a measure of her actually secretly wanting to do it.😕😳

DVD were both looking gorgeous in every scene.

And while my preference is for Madhu's long straight flowing hair look, today's hairstyle (with the traditional bun and centre-parting) is lovely as well.😳

Madhu's instinctive behaviour generally tends to inspire Paabo's instinctive approval.😆
So Paabo's maternal jealousy might actually have ended up soothed quite soon, if it weren't for the upcoming presumably worrying prophecy from the guruji (who should have had a maun-vrat in front of Balraj about his unborn child☢️, wonder if he'll say something good this time at least) and/or Madhu getting into acting after Paabo told Dipali a bahu wanting that might get ousted from the house.
Paabo tends to have an instinctive dislike of Dipali at all points. It's going to be unfortunate if the one point she was vocal about having drastic repercussion could actually be used as a weapon by Dipali to make a joint strike to prick at Paabo and Madhu in one go.

The clunk of RK using his residence as collateral as if he had no properties was always extremely obviously so that it would impress Madhu with the financial desperation of the situation.🥱
And today that clunk point's that very subtle utility was fulfilled.😆

Bittuji managed in his landline conversation (has he ever previously called RK on a landline if calls on the cell didn't get answered?😕) to quite needlessly remind RK - and thus unknowingly inform Madhu - of all the majboori factors plaguing them, so that she can be amenable to stepping in.😕😳
They did the romance track with perfect storytelling throughout so that the few clunks were glaringly noticeable.⭐️
Apparently this track is going to be
so damn clunky that the overdose of contrived plot-points in the story-telling can be ignored only by focussing on the couple's performance and chemistry.😕
Which is just fine so long as the couple is lighting up the screen and RK is the one mentoring Madhu.😳 As long as storytelling clunk is balanced by third parties being as minimally intrusive as possible, going to be eagerly on the edge of my seat for Rishbala magic making the stardom track magical. Can't endure a third person's intrusion in their love for each other or in the stardom - had a surfeit for too many months in one. Fingers crossed that we get positive Rishbala promotion and execution for this track to ensure intrinsic TRP-aid within the track rather than getting carried through alongside increased Paabo scenes, but not going to be too hopeful.😊

As to the antagonists of varying sorts, Simi's mom is *not* comedy.🥱 And Roma and she in the same scene - even if only one talks - is excessive.
Dipali is boring and sort of a filler, though she does have the reassuring record that if she's involved in making trouble, things work out for Rishbala sooner or later.😆😃
Amar Behl unfortunately has cause for his antagonism to the point of enduring financial loss.
But Kukku seems more of a fool than his son in wanting so much to bring down RK while he, his son and that son's wife remain very expensively dependent on RK's largesse.😕
That's a lot of antagonists.
The only good thing is that even if Paabo becomes antagonistic in any mistaken campaign, at least she can't match up to the levels of negligently vicious consequences that the Bhatia trio have managed against RK and Madhu individually and collectively. Any reassuring factor - even comparitive - looks good in this situation.😊

And today, the shot that they froze her face at, where he was looking totally enthralled - same thing with the teeth.

ur PS 🤣 🤣 hilarious

Buck teeth give sexy mysterious smiles when the mouth is closed...🤣. Malaika Arora said this once...she has buck teeth!! But I get it, she should've had her closed mouth smile.
THis is episode related, am talking about Madhu's last shot in that audition. 😆

@Zoya - LOL RK became Vampire Abhay Raichand with supernatural powers today 🤣 I think the theater screen was basically showing what was going in Madhu's mind😆 Ha ha, but really nice and unique way to show the narration.

I guess Madhu has told RK that she was born in a film set and when the light fell on her, she started crying. And whenever Roma used to take her to the studio when she was a kid, she used to cry a lot, that is why they kept her name GLYCERINE. And maybe even MC told RK🤔 Or RK might have got to know about it by now😆

#Prophecy - Even if she hadn't told him about it, RK wouldn't have cared about this. It is Pabbo who cares about it and will cause troubles.

@River - I have now made peace with the fact that Pabbo or Bittuji, either of them comes free with RM romance/ tender moments🤣

Btw how does RK know that Madhu was born on film set.. Has Madhu told him about her birth on the set before? She has told about Padmini fleeing Motihari and landing up in Mumbai and Balraj tales, but she hasn't specifically told her about her birth at the studio, as far as I remember
or are we to assume that antaryami RK found out ya MC told?

Btw Madhu has told RK about the previous Guruji prophecy to Balraj 😃

It was a very nice episode:)

You remember, when in jail, RK reminisced about how they would talk late into the night. Maybe she did tell him about it during those chats. 😆.

I've noticed in MBEIEJ,they do this kind of thing, we're supposed to presume characters talk to each other apart from what we see, thereby imparting a thread of reality in our minds...

Video, I don't know how they got it 😆

Entertaining episode...
Superb effort from the creative team...fantastic scene at the beginning...
RK looks at Madhu's audition tape and gets mesmerized while seeing her face on the screen and tries to touch the screen...Meanwhile Madhu calls Bittuji to knw abt RK's whereabouts to which Bittuji tells her to come to the trial room...
The next scene that followed was a skillful combination of the screenplay,bg music, the dialogues and the direction...
The whole scene with flashbacks on the screen while drunk RK was narrating to Madhu, the connection of her past with destiny was beautifully depicted...
Madhu tells him that her dream is to lead a simple life with him, their kids and not films...
Then RK puts Madhu in a tough situation when he asks what if a husband asks her to become heroine. He stumbles and tells her that he would not force her and both of them leave the trial room.

Amar,Kuku and Sikki think about the next set of plans to bring RK's film down...

Ganapati pooja preparations r in full swing in RK mansion where Madhu takes charge of arrangements...
Pabbo is impressed with Madhu and informs Radha that guruji will come later in the evening...
Madhu hears the conversation between RK and Bittuji through parallel connection and comes to know about the risk involved in the movie and the heroine who is unsuitable for the role...
MC-Kukuji scene was hilarious...

and it ends with a beautiful RM scene...

lovely episode, lovely reviews everyone
liked DVD's interaction in the trial room. agree could have used a better frame to freeze, the buck tooth was a little distracting what was also a little distracting from the magic of the RM interaction was some discontinuity in the editing towards the end... one of RK's dialog was repeated as if he was re trying to say the line and it was not polished off in the editing, similarly, madhu asking about RK, the dialogue the second time seeded added as an after thought and out of place...did anyone notice it, or was it just me?
liked MC BBBing and showing the reality to Kuku and gang, put then all bahtias except may be radh are dog tails who will not change character...
Like madhu hearing the RK-bituji conversation, but does that make madhu now Mahan by CVs as sacrificing her small desires for RK's is this CVs redemption for madhu for last fiasco?
precap: guess they made dipali a conduit for change?.
PS: just don't understand, if the heroin, come to the mahurat and shows face and then falls sick, how does that make the film not having a heroin? I hope the execution is better, and more believable. along with madhu's eventual agreement to do the film
PPS: fingers crossed on guruji giving positive prediction on madhu acting, and for once pabo being left speech less

Makes sense that the couple does talk to each other in the moments that we don't get to see onscreen. 😆

Also, re: the video flashback, I took as a creative or cinematic license - the video wasn't real, but RK through his words, was trying to create this vivid visual imagery for Madhu. And that showed up on screen.
