His passionate obsession for Madhu gives him the right to hurt her under the cover of junoon? Does junoon makes you so blind that you don't see that person's inner turmoil and pain?

An, good post!!

Honestly, I have no answer as to what EXACTLY junoon constitutes. As you aptly noted, everyone perceives things differently! Where is the line drawn? Well a very good question. We have seen in reality, situations where junoon has led to an obssessor not just killing himself but the person who they are obssessed with aswell, with the message being, if i cannot have you, no-one else can, and frighteningly enough, its a stage where RK and MB as characters have come to. RK refuses to give her happiness and yet he does not want to allow her to even enjoy a smile with a little child because he fears she is romancing the child's father. Though, I would argue presently, RK is more of a control freak who has found the weapon he requires to keep MB at his place than anything else. He wants to control her every move, including her body (am going by the handcuff promo) as well as the holi episode. I am sure if he sees MB touching Sultan again, he will probably go to the extreme of cutting off her hands. *imagine that*😆 AND since he always yap the *haq hai mera, this will not surprise me*

Ok, am all over the place with my rant, but I wanted to say in short is, I dont know what JUNOON is! But whether there is a fine line between emotional abuse and obssession is a question one will have to ponder upon as thats precisely what cvs are exploring upon. RK presents some traits of being obsessively *something* but he is yet to become fully evolve with that term, and am sure the day he does, wont be pleasant for the viewers nor MB😆

An emotional abuser also cares and loves and then hits out. Can junoon make a person an emotional abuser?

Do shows in India give a warning or disclaimer before the show starts? Does it say "This is a fictional show made for entertainment purposes"? Hey, if you got a problem with the show don't complain to me cuz I didn't write the story. And all I did was answer your question...what does the word junoon mean according to ME.

I really don't have an exact answer to your question..!!
To my understanding...its wanting something so bad..
to the extend of wanting it no matter what..!
But then again...in fiction...everything is always exaggerated...!!
With respect to the show...i think in case of RK...its junoon coupled with his big fat ego...
as Nids put it...he is full of I, Me, myself...so his junoon generally means...
everything has to revolve around him...!!

Thank you for your comment. I didn't seek you out to open my complain box. You posted in my thread and I replied. If you had no answer, you could have opted to not reply as I am an illiterate and cannot read disclaimers. 😊

I didn't answer your question? How? You asked the definition of junoon according to us as an individual. And my answer was " I think junoon is passion and obsession which clearly defines how rk feels about madhu. He is passionately obsessed about madhu." You're right, if I wanted to I didn't have to reply but I wanted to reply ;-) but I didn't have an intention to argue

An,
Junoon for me is going after something with everything u have, forgetting all else in the world but within the set boundaries of humanity. Its a good thing, but once it crosses the boundaries of rightness/rationality,it leads to death.
The title song of MBEIEJ proclaims that for RK being madhu's ishq is his junoon. So to be her one and only ishq,he is crossing sane boundaries which can have dire consequences.
