How does one define junoon? I know it cannot be defined objectively and subjectively, it may differ from one person to another depending on age, background and life experience.

To me what I saw on Friday was not junoon but emotional abuse. But, there must be some reason why the writers are selling it as junoon and some in the forum also see it as junoon. Why?

It's said that any kind of abuser, and emotional abuse cannot be taken less seriously, shows his extreme sides. Both the loving one and the heinous one and the cycle continues. I was unable to take this description out of R.K while watching the episode, yesterday. It did unsettle me because I don't mind a show that shows the extreme but I prefer not to watch it.

Yes junoon is an aspect of this show but does R.K's behaviour can still come under junoon or they have made him cross the line for increasing the drama quotient.

I would like to know your definition of junoon. 😊

junoon for me is intensity...madness in love...which I think is being considered by cvs also. Rk's character is such, and Madhu also which crave for this junoon, I might actually use the word lust for junoon, for yesterday I don't say it err junoon but sheer madness and dialoguebaazi, today was junoon ... ... for me... also the dream dance of RK and his making madhu's portrait...

i really dont know what it is in this show but RK for me looks like Nana patekar from agni sakshi!
well RK has not reached that stage yet!!! i dont call that junoon though!!
for me junoon is what SRK had in Darr!!

The way it rakes ur mind, its difficult for me to understand equally.

From what I see, RK behaviour was more of a control freak ...He wants full control over Madhu's heart. His actions assert control by hook or crook, overlooking how damaging it can be for Madhu. Had it been Junoon, RK would have gone to lengths to make himself worthy of her love and for that matter, if he has to forbid everything in his life or perhaps to unmask himself to the world he assumes he is ruling, then let it be! Sacrificing ur precious of all assets, financial or non-financial, to get back the lost trust of Madhu is what I feel treads the path of Junoon! ..Junoon is forgetting urself in the quest to get someone u love beyond boundaries but here, he is boasting his victory over the fact that her heart is still caged, and she isnt moved out of his reach!.. To me, what he is showing is a weird tendency of getting things back in a jiffy. More of a person who is belittling Madhu's pain over the pleasure that yes, she is still mine! .For him, its still IMM( I, me, myself ).

Rebuilding her broken trust, broken heart seems almost impossible with the way RK is going! With every single inhuman act, he is pushing Madhu all the more away!

PS: I am not bashing RK but I would like to know if I am wrong in my interpretation.

Thank you for your answer. I did not see lust yesterday. I saw it more as knowing her emotional weakness and gaining an advantage based on that.

Can madness in love lead to ignoring the other person's pain and only think about one's gain? Can junoon lead to harming the person one claims to love?

SRK's character in Darr was scary too and I don't see much difference between Nana Patekar's character and his, both did create havoc in the girls' life. It was more physical abuse in Agni Sakshi because the character was married. Otherwise, not much difference.

So Junoon cannot be always restrained madness?

yup SRK was scary in Darr!!!
i find resemblance to agni sakshi as they were married in it too !!

Till yesterday, I took the word junoon at its face value but the episode made me actually wonder what is junoon.

Bold: Prior to yesterdays' episode: my idea of junoon was close to your definition. But, it looks like, it has a different side too and that is ugly.
