I know if Padmini says this, she will not mean them. It will be in a moment of anger and frustration because I don't think that Padmini will ever actually feel that way. But will such a statement from Padmini, or maybe even Malik, be what it takes?

Angeena, I've been thinking of the same when I see Madhu these days..very soon Padmini is gonna say this to Madhu...and she'll mean it...why else can justify Madhu's craziness for Sultan and Aryan? what's the reason? that Sultan is a gangster but not all that bad?? c'mon so is the 100 crore population of India...I'll still feel bad for Madhu bec. even though her actions were crazy but the intentions were good..

I think we're reading too much into it..the CV's may have a future plan for Sultan-Aryan track but the only conclusion I reached is that Madhu is protecting "Aryan" (not Sultan), she's attached to Aryan, she's not even friendly with Sultan...Sultan might be getting wrong signals from her behavior, but WTH ! he KNOWS she's RK's wife/ex-wife whatever, that RK is still attached to her..what he does NOT know is that she's very much in love with RK and he has to understand their love hate equation...but still I feel that he will never make any advances towards Madhu, although she might get into problems bec. of Sultan Aryan connection later..

About Madhu's realization - I still got nothing. Padmini reprimanding her or RK being in danger - all these will force her to realize at one point but will that be enough for her to actually learn a lesson. People make mistakes all through out their life and that's normal. But she basically declared yesterday that she'll keep on doing this kind of things forever. For me she has crossed the line from being an emotional fool to being an actual utter fool. And now she is proud of it and the CVs are justifying that act at the expense of a little kid. Like they are mocking us with 'She is doing this foolishness for an innocent kid and how can you be so stone-hearted not to let this one slide by. Would you have liked it if she had left the kid for dead?' I hate blatant emotional manipulation. Being flawed is one thing, but flaunting that flaw like its the best in the world is annoying. RK is flawed but it has also been conveyed that he is wrong. For Madhu, she is being placed in a pedestal with her mother's approval. Once AA wrote for RK's RRR, that if an external force makes him realise that he was wrong, that's not exactly realisation. But then again there is no other way for Madhu I see. There were several moments, when I know, I myself would have opened my eyes. Like when Sultan snapped everyone's neck and the dead bodies were piling up and when she waved a gun at Bhujang and Sultan asked her to kill him. For a normal person with normal IQ, that would have been enough warning not to go further deep. But in the MBland, that was like another gentle push towards trouble-pool.

OK, guys, was determinedly staying away from discussing SRK on the EDT, because once I start, I cannot stop😊.

This interview is in the latest issue of Hello magazine...not able to find it online because it is the latest issue. Will source it though.

While reading the interview, I went into a dream world, and even began wishing that RK-madhu have this phase at some point in the serial...married, comfortable with each other, supportive star wife who moulds herself to suit her superstar husband's life, wife herself coming from a middle class background, keeps the star grounded.

Which could happen actually, sometime in the future, before the next twist arrives to shake them out of it😆

Quotes that reminded me of RK-Madhu:

SRK "Being an actor's wife is not easy. There are impositions of space and time that take away most of what is considered a normal relationship between a couple. Also, I am not an easy person to deal with. I come with all the trappings of complexity, over-sensitivity, and self obsession which a movie star is made of. It is a parallel life, and emotion that most do not understand. Fewer quotes from Gauri because she is known to be media shy, and speaks very little in interviews. SRK is very chatty.

I really liked that interview too. I read it on my zinio account, so it wasn't possible for me to put in the text of the interview, but for anyone interested, take a look below at the magazine cover and a picture from the article (and a couple of screenshots of some paras from the interview - most of which Soundarya already put into her post...)

The ludicrous part that she accepts is the craziness about their entire wedding. Her family gave him a Hindu Name and SRK even accepted that to get married to her. She was like ...one crazy family on this side and another crazy man on the other side.

She was also cool to say to him, that I want you to fail in films so that we can go back to Delhi. I guess those days leaving her alone in Saeed Mirza's Apt all alone in Mumbai without any friends and social life for her, he used to be extra caring to her. So the way he picked up her phone calls and gave all info about him, to keep her connected to him, people on the sets and everywhere started labelling him Joru Ka Ghulaam, which he accepted it for the sake of their keeping what he has with Gauri as private.

I never liked SRK in movies (TV yes, I liked him). Only Gauri made me like him. 😆

Shri...when I said abusive...i meant crazy possesive. Is that abusive or not is a matter of personal interpretations. I guess abusive was the wrong word but it is said that he gave Gauri no choice .

It is odd that while the entire forum screams and accuses RK of being abusive...I sometimes tend to see his behaviour as honest manifestation of his unhinged mind that does not know where to draw the line.

All along last week when I saw RK unhinged and weird , I kept trying to find parallels in real life. Then it struck me, why am i looking amongst my crowd, we form the 'average' cluster of people in society. The moment I thought of superstars, I remembered so many gossip items, that came, we read it, forget it, because it is about a rarefied world, does'nt concern us beyond a certain point.

I have already spoken of how Salman's behaviour with Aishwarya when they broke up, reminded me of RK's behaviour with Madhu post the unwedding. His father always says in interviews, if Salman had married, maybe he would have calmed down😆

SRK is known to be extremely moody and has huge meltdowns when his films flop. In fact, when his cricket team KKR was named a losing team a few years ago, apparently he almost had a nervous breakdown. We did'nt see that side of him. But he's honest, he does admit to that other side in his quote. And Gauri is the only one who can deal with him in that state.

This is really funny, when RK says their disagreement was a nok jhok...I remembered Hrithik Roshan. He was rumoured to have had a fling with one of his co stars. His wife moved into a hotel with the kids apparently in protest. And hrithik came out with a statement saying, they were doing pest control in their house that's why she moved into a hotel😆. This when she has her whole family in Mumbai.

So this is the result of reading too many film magazines😆. But they come in use sometimes esp when I need to understand RK, (not justify)😆.

Most of these guys live in such an alternate universe like SRK has mentioned, we cannot even imagine their lives.

TESTING OUR LIMITS - Whether to Break, Accept or Adjust ?

This quote is from the Media thread and it happens to touch, what I felt this morning. So here it is.

I was wanting to go to META thread and express the same sentiments above. As time and again, I have felt the need to happen that way. I see that you already stated in point 1 & 2 ...To Pay for Your Acts.

But yours is advanced requirement than what I feel. I am like in this suspended stubborn thought that Madhu can be in and am seeing how much I can be stubborn like her.

I wanted to go to META thread, to say that, now I feel CVs satisfied my intellectual thoughts in appealing manner and that from now on I can watch the show not in continuous mode, but can also watch on ON/OFF mode.

In the beginning of the show, used to wonder about lot about the logistics about the Plot deployment.

Like how a Chawlgirl is able to send a Superstar to Jail...as in nag him. And how the revenge drama starts.

Then as I was just watching enrapt in outrageous response to outrageous plot construct. I was told by CVs that Simple Girl is golden hearted and Superstar is Poison Hearted.

This sent me further into a tizzy and I was like, but everyday, in real life I do not behave like the Simple Girl and if my heart cannot be called Golden Hearted, atleast it was a good heart.

So I was like...okay this is a crazy show. But then my intellect used to prod me saying, see for the breaks, commentaries and sarcasm and you will get your answers. It slowly started happening then.

As I see now the Simple Girl with Golden Heart so brutally revenged by the Superstar, I like the Simple Woman on this side, started wondering what she would do. But here was the twist as expected by me. That she she will not be brittle and be flexible. So her heartstrings will not get broken.

And as I was making peace with her character finally, a bigger twist cam for me in the form of Aryan and Sultan. Now this track has effectively been used by CVs in the garb of being good to Simple Girl and the other Parallel Lead, to actually break fallacies around...what should be the limits to your goodness. In Mukund Track, it raised a question mark. But through Sultan Track, the limits of being a Golden Heart is being tested.

So literally the CVs are TESTING Madhu more than anyone.

How far she can go to save Aryan and Sultan and still get away from it unscathed.

Previously she went to save Mukund and she could not remain unscathed by it.

In Real life, Should Helping he taken to Obsessive Levels, so much that you live a constant Threat of being affected by it ? At this rate all NGO's will be shut down from their service.

What is driving the current drama ?

Pushing everyone about their dominant trait. Leads have developed into caricatures. We openly talk about their key trait and give our decision. Its like we ask Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take a stance or issue a stance, we know that in Cartoon style, Manmohan Singh will turn around and take a permission from Sonia Gandhi and then issue the statement. Isn't that what he did when people asked why Govt was not taking any action on that Rape Incident of Dec 16th. Sonia - a Non Govt Person, had to assure Media that Justice would be served.

If we can witness such sanity in our country, how different is the show in showing sanity ?

But the silver lining is that, here we debate, question and draw the cartoonish traits for issues where we can still have the same control. Elsewhere in different soaps, you have a story and you make intellectual associations in the same manner as MEIEJ. But where have CVs broken themselves ? Where have CVs made leads with OCD traits. Everyone suffers from an OCD trait in MEIEJ. And its certainly not that in real life, we do not have such people around us, within family, friends or without.

I guess, we need in India, good Satirical and Talk shows to keep ourselves in ship-shape.

I am out of India, so don't know which shows (other than Daily Soaps) are originally Indian and not a copy of Parent Models. All this Comedy Circus, Nautanki, India Idol, Fear Factor, Dance shows, Reality shows, Swayamvars, all have parent models developed in other countries. IMO there should always be NATIVE shows that make you question your own Ideals...make your question your own limits...and all in healthy manner and not in frustrated emotional manner.

Basically, how much we able to stop our decadence in our thoughts and principles and how much we can stretch ourselves. Religious, Political and Economic consequences have far reaching impact on people's lives down the generations, that common man cannot even fathom, during the days it occurs. Then how much are we prepared to be evolved and changed in mind without killing our heart for those philosophies. How can we help ourselves to get ourselves out of our own realizations at injustices, our own cobwebs, closeted minds and comfort zones ? What is it that makes us tick and go on ? How much of that ticking is worth going on ?

I think the last bolded part is the story of every character of MEIEJ.
