Men in uniform
All Talk: Aparna Tilak with her soldier friends
She plays an army captain in SAB's Left Right Left, so Aparna Tilak was thrilled to bits when she recently bumped into real soldiers from Norway at a suburban restobar.

Says Aparna, "I met them by chance. When I told them I was an actress and worked in a show with a military background, they told me they too were soldiers."

Arild Bloemendal, 23, is a first lieutenant in the army while his friend Geirsjello, 24, spent one year in the navy. Aparna says that they've even been on some peacekeeping missions.

"I showed them some stills from the show and they were impressed with the detailing we've put in it. Also talking to them and sharing their stories made me realise that anyone who defends one's country must be given the highest respect."Aye, aye, ma'am!

Small-screen's Chak De
Taking inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De, SAB's Left Right Left recently roped in a few real hockey players for a couple of episodes. In the show, one of the cadets, Pooja Ghai played by Gazal Rai, has been shown to be a hockey player from the beginning. After leaving the Academy, she realises hockey is her first love. For her the hockey ground becomes a battlefield. She stands up against the coach's defaming girl players and trains the girls. The players in the episode are University and State-level players from St Andrews College, MMK and Khalsa College. The coach Surinder Pal teaches at Sacred Boys' High School since the last 15 years and has trained and produced 15 state-level players. "It was an amazing experience. It was a little funny because I had no idea about anything to do with hockey and had asked the girls to teach me the basics. But on screen they had to pretend they were learning from me. Those girls were really co-operative and we had a lot of fun on the sets," says Gazal Rai.

Source-Hindi Newspaper(Jhankaar Section)

hello frnds this is an article published in 2day's newspaper in hindi so am translating and forwarding it for better means and convieneince😃 but if u still want i will give u in hindi..and sorry i don't have scanner

the fans of Shahrukh khan of small tv called rajeev khandelwal r a bit upset from him. reason??? rajeev's decision to walk off from limelight for a while. rajeev has quit sab's lrl and the decision is taken by himself. According to Rajeev:- i want to reinvent myself so i have decided to walk off from the limelight shortly. when the hubby and charming Sujal of Kahin to hoga came with a makeover in the form of Captain Rajveer Shikawat so it was said that he won't be able to justify the role but Raj's star- power spells bound magic and the trp's of the show starts rising rapidly. and now as rajeev has left the show. the future of the show is considered as a question mark??

few years back...rajeev started off with kth and played his character sujal so amazingly that he was being stamped as sujal. he was also linked up with co-star aamna sharif and this actually added to his popularity. young girls had gone crazy for him.

Rajeev himself says:-i have expierenced such incidents in my life which bounds me to think that what is in me that girls are so crazy for me???? he blushes...

then rajeev took a historic decision by leaving kth and said that he wants to try something new for which he tried time bomb and deal ya no deal and a short track in CID. but unfortunately rajeev's experiment could not work. Rajeev still headed with Lrl in the form of captain rajveer and performed so well and reached the heights of popularity and success once again. lrl and rajeev's journey went for an year and rajeev is quite happy about it and says that coming out of sujal's shadow and making rajveer popular is a sweet victory for him. even it was a challenge for rajeev to say yes for the show. small channel, army background plot and subject and working with new faces was becoming more challenging.

if lrl is so close to raj's heart? then why did he quit it?? he answers:-i was not very happy to quit the show but i don't want myself to be identified with just two charcters. it was the right time to say bye to rajveer from me. now his deaarly fans will have to wait for his next venture.

Rajeev says:- i want to look at one place and at one time. my fans will have to wait to watch me again. i am not cheapily(easily) available..

so is rajeev making planning to enter bollywood:- he replies i work with my instinct and can't predict anything for the future. i don't plan my life.

thts all..

Ankur's looking for a partner
23 Sep 2007, 0000 hrs IST

Ankur Nayyar (TOI Photo)
"I am not dating anyone from the industry or otherwise."

Ankur Nayyar is all set to go for a makeover. But not a physical one. Instead, he's all set to go for an image makeover as he will soon be seen in SAB's Left Right Left .

The actor will opt for a rugged look for this one. But doesn't that mean he's going to be very busy, considering the fact that his other show Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki is also a daily? "I may not be a part of Woh... for a long time. I loved my role and it was a great experience, but I don't want to take up too many things at one time. For the past one year I have made a conscious effort to do only one serial at a time," says the actor. But doesn't that mean cutting down on work? "I have been doing Jeet, Virasat, Woh... back to back and there was a time when I was working round the clock. Now, I am just trying to get some time for myself," say Ankur.

Though Ankur, who plays a sharp-shooter in LRL, doesn't want to reveal more about the character, he says he's happy with the role that was offered to him and didn't have to think too much before signing for it.

Ankur who's always played the romantic angle in most of his serials is very excited about his action-oriented role.

"I enjoy doing my stunts, so I hope I get to do lot of them on this show. In a way I consciously moved away from the romantic roles that I have done previously," he says. Ankur says that reality shows are catching on big time and though he has been part of one such reality show called Paisa Bhaari Padega , he would love to take part in the dance shows that are on air. So, what's stopping him?

"You need a partner and I am not dating anyone from the industry or otherwise," he says adding, "I love reality shows and I'd love to participate in one definitely." Well from action to romance to dancing, Ankur seems to be in a mood to try his hand at everything. But he needs a partner for the last one. Are single girls listening?

Rajeev Gets Gold!!
[24 Sep 2007]

Rajeev Khandelwal, who played the character of Captain Rajveer in Sab TV's Left Right Left, won the best male actor award, while Rajshri Thakur was adjudged the best female actor for her role in Zee's Saat Phere at the Gold Awards- the first global television awards show ceremony held in Mauritius. Most of the winners were from Zee TV shows as the Balaji czarina had prevented her actors from attending the show.

The show was organized by Vikas Kalantari, Pooja Ghai and Anuj Saxena, while the hosts were gorgeous Mandira Bedi and dashing Aman Verma. The hosts did not spare Ekta Kapoor and ridiculed her style of functioning and treating her actors as captive workers.

The show opened with Narayani Shastri's performance who somehow survived a wardrobe malfunction on stage. Similarly, Karishma Tanna was in trouble during her performance when there was an unexpected power failure on the stage. Neha Bamb, Chetan Hansraj, Gaurav Chopra also performed on the occasion.

Bollywood was represented on the occasion by the director Mohit Suri and Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films.
