About the song & Nora’s clarification for it
The song "Sarke Chunar" is featured in the upcoming Kannada film "KD: The Devil." Released on YouTube, the song quickly ignited controversy due to its sexually explicit lyrics. The video has since been removed from the platform.
Directed by Prem and starring Dhruva Sarja, "KD: The Devil" is scheduled for release on April 30th. The controversy surrounding the song has brought significant attention to the film, raising questions about its content and impact.
Nora Fatehi, who appears in the song's dance video, and Raqueeb Alam, the translator of the original song, have both distanced themselves from the controversy. Fatehi stated that she recorded the Kannada version three years ago and raised concerns about the Hindi version upon hearing it. Alam explained that he was asked to provide a literal translation from the Kannada version and had also cautioned the makers about the vulgar lyrics in the Hindi version. The Kannada lyrics were written by the film's director, Prem.
