In the note, the family shared, “With gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share the peaceful passing of our beloved mother at the age of 94.” The message reflected on her long life and remembered her as someone who leaves behind strong memories, love, and a lasting presence for her family.

Her funeral is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10 am at the Hindu Crematorium in Santa Cruz West, Mumbai. Family members have invited close friends, well wishers, and members of the film industry to attend and pay their respects.
