Social media has quietly become a part of everyday life for people across the world. From celebrities and business owners to students and street vendors, almost everyone today has a presence online. Television actress Neha Harsora, who plays the lead role in Udne Ki Aasha, believes this change has made the world more connected but also reminds people to keep a healthy balance.
According to Neha, platforms like Instagram have given people a space to express themselves and share their stories. She finds it interesting how social media has grown from just a place to share photos with friends to something much bigger. Today, it helps people promote their work, stay in touch with others and even create new opportunities.
“At one time social media was just for fun, but now it has become part of daily life,” Neha says. “Everyone has a voice there. You can see people from different backgrounds sharing their journeys and experiences.”
At the same time, Neha feels people should be careful about how much importance they give to online reactions. She says it is natural to feel happy when a post gets likes and comments, but depending too much on that validation can become unhealthy.
“It feels nice when people appreciate your photos or videos,” she explains. “But our happiness should not depend on numbers on the screen. Real confidence comes from within.”
As a public figure, Neha understands that fans are curious about her life beyond television. However, she believes it is important to maintain some privacy. While she enjoys sharing moments from her work and interacting with fans, she prefers keeping certain parts of her personal life away from the public eye.
Neha also admits that like most people, she checks Instagram during her free time, especially between shoots. Still, she tries to avoid spending too much time scrolling.
“Social media is useful and entertaining, but it shouldn’t take over our real lives,” she says.

In Neha’s view, the best way to use social media is with balance. She believes people should enjoy it, but also focus on real relationships, hobbies and experiences outside the digital world.
“If we use social media wisely, it can be a positive space,” she adds. “But real happiness will always come from the life we live offline.”
