After being consistent for 3+ yrs now, she deserves more appreciation.. Yeah I hate hate Aaliya but I love Shikha for being such a fine and nuanced actor...

Good point! Maybe they have to create a new category. Looks like negative roles are mostly for vamps and bad guys. She's definitely not those.

Hello all!

This AT is slowly inching towards completion... we may even need a second thread soon!

Shikha continues to excel as Alu, she is a compelling villain and is a delight to watch.

I have been noticing that alu wears a lot of black these days, it may be because that alu ka dil is completely kaala but I wish to see her in vibrant colours, she rocks all the stylish outfits.

Shikhu did win an awards in the beggining but it's kinda sad that ZRA wale never gave her one .

Is it purposely being considered while styling to reflect Aliya's dark mood cum psycho actions, not sure though..

Initially thought it may be some styling decision of KKB crew to continue dressing Aliya in black to reflect her mood till she gets some major win after her entry into MM again..😊 But after observing few insta posts of Shikha few days back which say black is her favorite color and she likes no color wala look, feel it also may have to do with Shikha's choice...

To the question why Shikha hasn't been getting awards these days under the category of best negative role or best villain, we need to observe whom she is getting pitted against when ever she appears in the nominations list..

There has been a huge lineup of seasoned TV actors/actresses under that category and they have been portraying with finesse some well built character sketches..it also indicates negative roles seem to be more in demand these days on TV shows..so rather tough competition..😊

Eg. Achnit Kaur, Kamya Punjabi, Parag Tyagi, Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran, Ridhi Dhogra, Sudesh Berry, Jennifer Winget, Surekha Sikri, Sangram Singh, Anita etc. have been getting nominated in this category and their roles have either become key to success of their respective shows or their performances have been commendable.. may be jury couldn't ignore them..

After long time felt like writing a small positive note for Aliya's character..

Little solace from last weeks episodes after watching chutka/chutki doing fine in a reasonable hostel and undergoing their school education.. glad they aren't getting tortured in any remote den by Aliya's goons..😊 She didn't behave with Munni's kids as cruelly as she bounces some times to throttle Munni's neck and threatens her badly with kids..or the way she goes hyper with a strong desire to eliminate Disha..😳

May be somewhere Aliya still has those 5% of normal humane feelings left in her unlike Tanu..Aliya does shed tears whenever she sees Abhi or Purab fighting life and death, she wants to control and rule over them, feels wronged by them, wants to avenge but hasn't yet reached to that pinnacle of wishing or plotting their deaths, 🤔 though she always behaved like a psycho in eliminating Arora sisters from this world due to her bundled up hatred..

Though Aliya's redemption looks far away, and may be even impossible at this juncture given the number and nature of of evil deeds and punishable offences she got engaged in the show, if somehow those suppressed humane feelings can be increased even upto 20% by writers, may be she'll think twice before physically tormenting or attacking those people whom she hates. 😊 This way Aliya can be used as a shrewd villain who focuses more on cunning plotting's and in playing mind games for creating OTT drama. First step could be to make her slowly move away from Tanu's friendship which always causes more damage to her own life and relationships as her bff always adds more fuel to fire and keeps giving her horrendous criminal ideas..

Alu worrying about abhi's health would have moved me a bit if it were not for the fact that it has happened so many times before with alu reverting back to selfish self withing a blink of an eye, but still nice to see an emotional alu.

Alu discussing the frequent attacks on abhi with Indu dassi was a nice touch.

Puliya convo was alright , so was alu's nonchalant attitude , but I still found it weird that purab thought he would accomplish anything by lecturing alu. Duh, Writers cannot help themselves with puliya.

Aaliya saying that her stomach is full of Pragya's insults so she has no appetite to eat is pretty classic cutting Aalu 😆 ❤️

She may have no desire to ever change as I might wish her to, but I still can't help admiring her sharp mind and tongue ⭐️

The question is, is it possible for Aliyah character to be good ? She's done too much evil. It takes a drastic act of action from her to turn good now.

Is it possible in theory? Yes, for me, always. Is it possible on the show? I highly doubt it. A plotline featuring Aaliya's redemption doesn't seem likely to be TRP generating material. They continue to get a lot of use out of her character as a villain. And Shikha is so fantastic in edgy, angry scenes, I can't see why creatives would want to write anything different for her in this role.
