Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan finally keeps the promise he made to Abhira, places Maira’s hand in hers

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently revolving around the emotional aftermath of a decision Armaan made seven years ago, a decision that changed the lives of Abhira, their daughter Maira, Geetanjali, and even his current fiancée. As Abhira tries to reconnect with Maira after years of separation, she finds it difficult to form a bond. Maira, who has been raised by Geetanjali, struggles to adjust to her new life in Udaipur and doesn't see Abhira as her mother.

In the recent episode, Geetanjali comes to Udaipur to take Maira back to Mount Abu. Abhira, despite the pain, lets her go for Maira's happiness. Before leaving, Maira tells Abhira that while she is nice, she will always be her "cute aunty" and not her mother, a title she reserves only for Geetanjali. Heartbroken, Abhira breaks down, and by the time Armaan arrives, Maira and Geetanjali have already left.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan is seen consoling a heartbroken Abhira. He tells her that it was he who took Pookie away from her seven years ago, and now he will be the one to bring their daughter back into her life.

Meanwhile, Maira and Geetanjali are seen walking together as they reach Mount Abu. Maira happily expresses how much she missed the place and gets excited to be back. She asks Geetanjali to quickly stop an auto as she is eager to go home, but Geetanjali tells her to wait for just five more minutes. As Geetanjali finally stops an auto, both are surprised to see Armaan sitting inside. He gets down from the auto, and it drives away.

Maira runs to him and hugs him tightly, telling him she missed him. She also mentions that Geetanjali brought her back from Udaipur. Armaan, visibly upset, tells her that it wasn't the right thing to do. Geetanjali defends her action, saying that Maira wasn’t happy in Udaipur.

Armaan tries to make her understand, saying that Maira had just started adjusting there and barely spent any time with Abhira. He points out that she didn’t even give Abhira a fair chance to build a bond with her daughter. Armaan reminds her that as Maira's father, he had already asked her to let Abhira spend time with Maira and that she shouldn't have interfered.

He expresses how he still regrets hurting Abhira in the past and warns Geetanjali that she’s making the same mistake. According to him, taking Maira back from Udaipur was not the right decision. Maira then softly says that she wanted to return, and Armaan tries to gently make her understand the situation.

He lovingly holds her face and tells her how, because of his actions, she missed out on her real mother's love. He encourages her to now open her heart to Abhira, praising her for being a wonderful person. Maira hesitantly asks Armaan how she can accept Abhira as her mother since she isn’t Geetu. Armaan gently tries to explain by reminding her of the time she stayed with Abhira in Udaipur, how she used to braid her hair and tell her bedtime stories. He encourages Maira to take a small step and try living with Abhira.

Armaan gently tells Maira that he’s not asking her to replace Geetanjali with Abhira, but simply to spend time with her and try to connect. He assures her that she might actually enjoy it. Maira hugs him tightly, saying she can never be truly happy without him.

Armaan tries to explain that by being with Abhira, she’ll get a big, loving family. But Maira insists she doesn’t want anyone else, only her papa and Geetanjali. She then turns to Geetanjali, asking her to convince Armaan to let her stay.

Geetanjali requests Armaan not to send Maira back, but he firmly says that she must return. He asks Geetanjali to talk to Maira and help her understand. When she refuses, saying she can’t do that, Armaan tells her that if she doesn’t, he will take it as a sign that her love for Maira is selfish and that she’s only thinking about her own emotions. Later, Geetanjali gets emotional, hugs Maira tightly, and begins talking to her.

With tears in her eyes, Maira finally agrees to go with Abhira. Just then, Abhira and Anshuman arrive directly from the Teej celebration. Armaan places Maira's hand in Abhira's, taking a step toward fulfilling his promise that he would be the one to reunite the mother and daughter. He then tells Abhira to take their daughter with her.

Holding Abhira's hand, Maira walks towards the car, smiling and waving goodbye to both Geetanjali and Armaan. Meanwhile, Geetanjali breaks down emotionally, unable to hold back her tears as she watches Maira leave.
