--i meant more shades of Nidhi.. well too much to expect from one epi.. šŸ˜†.. well it says it all.. tht this story is more from Nidhi's perspective and less from reserved Ashutosh.. the title song is from Nidhi's perspective..

I'd still say that the flow was patchy...some scenes need to be eased into more...iI think this show is directed at a bit more mature audience so the pace should be according to that.
--Todays young generation starts from 15 and extends up to 40..šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†... yeah this show is for the latter ones.. bt even thy need a gud flow and not the boring dragged epis wher u cant even write decent few lines abt 20 whole min epi.. for me the flow was okay.. it wasnt confusing and pretty relatable... I hope Kamleshji wud do away with those eyelocking and duppata flying scenes...if thy need to b.. thn b in dreamland of Nidhi.. who seems to b floating in her own dream world in Title videošŸ˜† conjuring up all "filmi" tricks at trading of hearts..šŸ˜†

Why is this a comparison to BV?šŸ˜•šŸ˜†...I don't even watch BV right now...obviously this is a totally different genre.
thts bcoz i had been following its written updates.. and it is still slot leader a direct competition to KTLK.. šŸ˜†...

--I read an article of Kamlesh.. he said its jst a tribute and not copy paste.. all he has tried to do is to keep the characters and story as close to DK as possible.. bt it is moulded and treated for urban and modern-day audience...and i did find dialogues, characters, and flow okay and relatable.. most importantly enjoyable.. and story refreshing.. tho it is a remake of DK.. and Thankfully he said thy r planning 200-250 odd epis.. šŸ‘šŸ¼ i like crisp but intense stories not dragged ones.. 😳I would have rather have it over by 250 epis rather thn dragged to 600 epis.. šŸ˜†

Hey, I checked it out. Was excited at the concept and Mohnish and Kritika's fresh unusual pairing. I haven't seen the original pakistani show this is based on and looking at some comments here I think thats probably a good thing.
First episode was for sure a slow starter.. I wouldn't say it started with a bang just yet.. it still needs to warm up. But the plus point is that the actors were great.. Kritika and Mohnish suit the roles perfectly and the supporting cast are good. So will see how this plays out. Next episode (today) looks more interesting as we see the interaction with the leads.

I hope the entire show is not only about Nidhi's bubblinessšŸ˜•

And I'm not sure if this show has been moulded for urban audiences or more for the Indian audience in general which likes it's dose of cheesy melodramašŸ˜†...I also found the show OK so far...I wouldn't call it bad...but time will tell where this goes...I feel this is a show that needs to be handled with SENSITIVITY...hope they don't go overboard with Nidhi's cheesy imaginations.

This show needs subtlety but I'm beginning to have my doubts about whether they'll manage that b/w all these flowing curtains, falling rose petals and flying papersšŸ˜•šŸ˜†

@bold - Yes it needs SUBTLETY. I too seriously doubt they are planning to do that. Thanks for the link of the song. OMG the song sequence is so weird - flowing curtains, falling rose petals and flying papers.😲 šŸ˜• Hey baghwan did anybody even watch DK? They have such a good script to fall back on but they refuse to stick to it. I mean it is adapted but at least maintain the characteristics of the original characters. They could have done it better. I think the major difference between a pakistani drama and hindi drama is realizing when subtlety is needed and seriously the creatives of KTLK have no clue they need SUBTLETY. šŸ˜• I really dislike the fact that they are telling the the story from Nidhi's perspective and not Dr. A. If it is going to be about another female character then it is certainly not a show for me. Why why can't they do it from Dr. A's perspective as the lead why is it always about the female??😭

I should have guessed you'd be here for premiere appraisal Nureaa šŸ˜Ž

And late latif that I'm accustomed to being, I caught up with stuff a day too late.

But here goes - too rushed, yes I echo that. I had this feeling that the writers/CVs/production is consciously rushing to get Kittu and MB on screen together ASAP. If they'd given some space to the build up for each - they'd have to delay the first meeting by a day, maybe. But honestly, I would have preferred that. I like either the history to be shown so I can feel it reflecting in the character as it evolves, or to not have a history at all, and build a character from wherever you've started. Definitely thumbs down on that.

My second disappointment - yes too soon to judge some may say but I'll mention nonetheless - the dialogue. Mostly vague, or too trite! There's an art that is reflected in the way a dialogue is written - and that's just amiss. When Nidhi says 'aaj tak main ek aam ladki thi, aaj se Dr. Nidhi Verma' - sorry, but I just had to roll my eyes. I can guess what the underlying message being attempted here was, but I wish a dialogue like that, something that's supposed to be effected with 'resounding echo' was better written, the kind that sort of lives with you for a while. Maybe that's just me.

But complains aside - the title tune has me in a trance, I don't even have to watch the show, and I've just been humming it mindlessly since Sunday - waiting for the show šŸ˜†. Add the fact that Kritika adds a vibe to her otherwise mostly average lines (the character is befitting of her IMO) and MB - the man has his finesse. I've always held him high for the way he can emote a lot without saying much - an advantage, since the dialogues didn't promise potential yet. And I like the Dad. For now =)

Maybe I'm just jittery knowing this is courtesy Rajan Shahi. But every sign that indicates 'Indian soap opera' just makes me wary. Can this please be different?

And yes - whoever said Kittu and MB wont have chemistry - I disagreed then, and I disagree vehemently now...

Fingers crossed!

*edit*

Oh I have to add - while I like this vibe Kritika is giving her character for starters - I hope the show has planned layers for her character - as have to necessary in the role she is pulling off. And even more, I hope Kritika can do justice to the layers which are less like her, than this current bratty side.

Ms. Jzephyr is here!šŸ¤— LOL

Yay for mini Galool-ians huddle out here :P

I was wondering if I'd see a post from you too cuz I remember you mentioning you'd be watching the show.

Dude, WORD on the dialogues...*sigh* That's when I start pining for Gulaal the most...can there never be another show with such powerful dialogues? *sigh*

Anyways, trying to put all that aside seeing as this is a different genre and all too...I did like the dialogue about how the ghar was a marham for him...that's what Ashutosh says to his caretaker, right?

Overall the show does have many elements of the typical Indian soap but in some ways the treatment is decent too...MB is awesome...watch today's epi...he was even better in that. And yeah Kritika suits the role...although in some bits she goes a bit overboard but overall she works for the character.

I love the song too...have been humming it since many days now but hope they don't overuse it in the show and kill it's charm.

Oh they deffo have chemistry...no denying that...I just hope that chemistry is well handled and doesn't descend into mindless cheesiness.

Oh I had to be here - I'm just not fast enough to be here first šŸ˜†

and hugs back Nur - hope your exams can take a beat soon!

ps: I promise I tried to avoid comparison with Gulaal - I didn't even go back and watch DK (saw it years ago when my mum was a fan of it) just to 'avoid' comparisons - but seriously, the dialogue just had to come to fore and I was already fidgety keeping 'wary' at bay.

It just reminds me of what Mansi said about having good writers. They make so much difference. Yes these people have a good plot for inspiration. But execution is here and now - in dialogue, screenplay, in acting, and please - a good good DOP! Oh Gulaal really spoiled the lot of us! Too much to expect. Okay I'll settle with rich characters and good dialogue. And I'll keep my bet on Kittu and MB - together, and individually.

For now...?! Lol!

And I did see today's episode too - like both together. MB was fantastic - I don't expect him to be less. I sort of liked the OT scene, because the actors, all three, had a sense of body language depicting their 'state of minds'. As for the content of scenes - both OT, and later in Ashu's office - average. There's a been there done that feel about the scenes as such, for now - the only stand out difference being the age gap itself, but I'll be patient about that. Cheese had better stay miles and miles away from these two. If Rajan Shahi has any idea of the theme he's treating that is. And I need to quit the critique and lower expectations - BIG time šŸ˜†

Echo that. I think Ruksar shall do well. She had the perfect tone for all her scenes - even the OT one, sans dialogue.

MB is the USP for me. The pull in factor šŸ˜†
