This is such an imteresrting topic that I couldn't help but jump in
I don't think work from home is a bad idea. But the fact is that it depends upon the individual. I know many of my colleagues don't like to work after getting home and hence stay late to finish everything at office, I on the other hand like to go home and relax and after dinner sit down and complete my work. Hence I don't think Dev and sons are wrong - both are right in their ways but they are both being stubborn not to see the others perspective,

I don't think it was wrong that Dev got her new clothes but the intention behind it was probably not right, he got her clothes because he was worried for her safety and didn't want her going up and down shops in the mall. That having been said, even in a marriage I believe that you cannot force someone else to dress the way you want them to - you can express your view and say this colour suits you or this cut is nice but can I insist that you have to wear this shirt,

I don't think Sona was ever this obsessive in season 1- she expressed her views or opinion on dev's shirts only when he asked her. If u guys remember, she gifted him s shirt after his shirt shirt got spoilt in Holi and it was a white shirt that she visited him and not a colour of her choice. When he was going on a date with Natasha he asked her to chose a shirt for him and she chose an orange one,

Yes she did unilateral decisions sometimes like when she decided to go on a nine day for without telling him.

At the end of this track I am sure quite sure that they will find s middle path because I am yet to a more realistic set of leads of any show and that's what sets them apart. This show has been very unconventional in many ways and I am looking forward to the rest of the story unfolding.

Have a wonderful day folks!

Mods,
If me calling reel characters immature is out of line,I am ready to edit my post.

You called me immature by saying I am acting like Dev and Sonakshi and then saying that they are immature. You also mentioned that the reasons I am giving is "irrelevant". What did I say that you are judging me that way. On what basis did you judge what i said as relevant or irrelevant. If what I said is irrelevant then from my pov what you say is irrelevant. Judge others as you want to be judged. Give respect to take respect. One needs to first look at themselves before labeling other people as immature or mature or even intelligent or not intelligent.

In the episode where Dev doesn't get Vickky out of jail and RR comes and makes a scene, Sonakshi advises him to listen to his mother and says that she was right. When he tells her who asked her for her opinion, she retorts saying that he wouldn't dare to fire her.

When she muted his phone because he was having fun with Nikki, I didn't hear anyone asking her to do so. Yet she didn't feel that what she did was wrong or that Dev lost chores of Rs worth of business because of her. Dev didn't point to his shopping bags and talk about the clothes in the car when he takes her home. She herself finds the shopping bags and laughs at him when he tells that they have shirts in them shopped for him by his secretary.

Even during their courtship period makes fun of him saying that he doesn't know anything about shampoos because Tina was shopping for him.

These are some of the examples where she gave unsolicited advise when she had no right to do so. It is very impolite to invite the guy whom you are supposed to marry to your workplace which is somebody's home without informing them first. Yet Sonakshi did that too. Even during Neha Ranveer time, when he apologizes to Ranveer for something Neha says, she comments that he did a noble thing. And no one asked her opinion at that time too. When she sees sleeping pills on his night stand questions him and tries to throw them away saying it is bad for health. That time too it was not like Dev asked her if sleeping pills was good for his health or not.

He hires her to be his mother's nutritionist, yet she decides to become the nutritionist for the family and control not just Ishwari's, but Neha, Riya and Nikki's diet too finally including Dev too in that list. No one had asked her to do that.

As DD himself had said she is as flawed as Dev is and there is very little difference between her and Dev in terms of interfering in each other's personal life.

Shaavi

I never said that Sona is not as flawed - they are both stubborn and pig headed

What I was trying to say is that I personally probably would freak out if my husband suddenly started behaving this obsessive, I have realised that when tempers fly it's probably better for everyone to step back s little bit and interospect quietly. In this scenario Dev should step back and think why Sona is getting so angry at his gestures and sons should get back and think as to why Dev is getting so paranoid. That would help them arrive at a middle path.

We should agree to disagree as our views don't seem to match...

Have s wonderful day ahead.

It's quite obvious that the Soha-Golu track running on a parallel is going to be at crossroads with what's happening between Dev and Sonakshi now. On top of that, Ishwari's sort of being a witness in both issues. So it will be interesting to see what the writers have in mind with everything building up all at once. It actually makes the episode quite gripping along with my usual anxiousness to see what's going to happen next. 😃

it's so weird, but I'm in 100% agreement with you. Most shows I usually hate when my favorites fight. Somehow, someway when these two fight, i don't mind so much, even the serious fights. They have so much chemistry to me in those fights, that i'm usually OK with it, because at the end of the day the story is about them.

Nothing happened really in this episode that was earth shattering but i somehow loved the episode.

Actually there is not much difference in what we are saying. I completely agree with what you are saying here. The only difference is that Dev had 7 years to think about their marriage phase and admits to his mistakes. And what he is trying to do is correct them in his own way. Like the Kushal Roy and the Jodi.com tracks. Since she shouts on him that he broke her marriage proposal with Kushal, he decides to find the right groom. That is exactly what he is doing here. Since she doesn't tell anyone about her whereabouts, he is working around that and trying to ensure her safety and well being and what he thinks she deserves. Cause from his pov, she is priceless and nothing is good enough for her. And he wants to give her the moon. Compensate for the last 7 years. But it doesn't really work that way. I mean a person cannot eat three times the food cause he is eating only once a day is not practical.

But for that as you said. Sonakshi needs to introspect. She needs to slow down and think what is driving Dev towards what he is doing. Since that is not visible, I just highlighted that fact and made a post on that. My original post in no way talked about Dev at all. It was highlighting only one of the aspects of the episode, that's all.

Also, on another note. I watched the show from the beginning again this week.
Dev is an emotional guy, he doesn't do anything half way, and that especially includes love. When he loves you, really loves you he goes all out.

I think it stems from his childhood, having to grow up so fast, take care of his mother and his sisters.
I think it made him somewhat emotionally damaged. I think also because of it, he latches on to the two most important people in his life, Ish and Sona (by extension soha). I think he lives in this constant fear that one of them will be taken away from him and Sona obviously was, and we saw how that turned out for him.

He will always be that crazy, albiet right now his fear has taken completely over, but I don't think that deep rooted need will go away altogether. I think he will always love ish and sona to the extreme when/if the need calls for it to him.
right now he has to fight that fear, ish and sona have to help him overcome it, because if he continues this path, he quite literally will drive himself mad.

also as strong as he is, Dev in reality is very sensitive when it comes to Ish and Sona and in my view those two have the ability to break him and heal him.

Shaavi,
When I read what I wrote again I understand I wasn't able to convey my thoughts properly.
Sorry I meant to write how I feel your reasons seems irrelevant to the the current behavior of Sona and Dev , if I give any reasons you will also feel the same.

I edited my post.

@ BOLD That's wat exactly the makers want 😉 Create confusion n verbal spat among the viewers . I'm loving that BGM , btw...heavy n dramatic. In this dress scene ,Dev showed the dress Soha selected for her mom but he said that Golu too selected one but he himself rejected that. Now think of that... Wat cud b the reason for Dev to reject dress selected by Golu?? 🤪😆

Btw, take it easy , guys..it's jst a show 😊

@Narshi21. Your words "Sorry I meant to write how I feel your reasons seems irrelevant to the the current behavior of Sona and Dev" is disrespectful and pointed towards me, a real person and not reel characters. And you have no right to judge my understanding by labeling this way. By doing so you are saying I am smarter than you, so you don't write anything as you don't understand anything. And that from my pov is unwarranted.

Next time please refrain from attacking me just because I wrote iabout Sonakshi and her flaws.
