@Shaavi, whatever the reasons or explanations you are giving seems irrelevant to me for the current situation of Dev and Sona. So just agree to disagree.

I think both Dev and Sona are behaving immaturely. Sona, the least she could have done is talked to Dev after Vicki fiasco ,which she didn't do and Dev is also not helping her anyway by pushing her to work from home.

Congratulations on new thread!!

KRPKAB is surely showing us new shades and new layers of relationships. I am very intrigued where current tracks are heading.

There are so many things happening in the show right now. Firstly, Soha is getting fascinated/influenced by the golu's words and his way of thinking. Its similar to how Sona was fascinated by Dev's complex world and she referred to her life as 'boring nutritionist job'. Soha is probably trying to be closer to her father, as Golu is implying that Dev has guided him. Soha is maybe trying to fill the gaps? Is this track heading to addressing Soha and Dev missing 6-7 years of each other's lives? Or the fact that DevaKshi are playing possessive lover and strong woman games that they failed to see changes in their daughter? Is it going to be a wake up call for DevaKshi? Especially Sona? Let's see..

And big rounds of applause for makers to subtly highlighting Ish and Dev's toxic relationship in this current track. Yes, Ish is changed now, and she has said sorry numerous times, which is amazing . But there was no realisation of toxic relationship that Dev and Ish shared, which was due to trauma both mother and son had to go through. Ish's realisation, I felt, was more about her intrusion not her deep rooted insecurities and desire to be her son's only priority. (I could be wrong here) Maybe makers are now going to highlight how Dev has been functioning as an individual due to his childhood trauma dictating his life. In today's episode, Ish was shown to be visibly uncomfortable and struggling to comprehend two different opinions regarding 'work from home'. I really hope Dev, Sona and Ish would have more insight on Dev's childhood trauma and his maladaptive coping mechanisms.

My problem with Sona, as I've mentioned in my previous posts, is that she is not reacting, especially after eviction truth. No emotional talk with Dev. Maybe makers are showing that she is bottling it all up because that's her ill adapted coping mechanisms. She is making everything about her work, which is a sensitive issue given how she was humiliated by Dixsits because of their different socio-economic backgrounds. She is only focusing on Dev's reaction not underlying reasons. And Dev is not making things easier for her, he is not giving her space to think things through. Don't know what would be the turning point for DevaKshi's relationship this time.

I know what Dev is doing is not right, he is being very intrusive and as a viewers we know why he is behaving the way he is behaving. He is creating distance between him and Sona and Sona is not able to connect with his fears.
I remember Sona's word during camp 'agar tum wo place mujhe dete to hum saath hote' (something along the line). Before separation she wanted to know about Dev's past, his complex relationship between his mother and wanted to be part of it. Now Dev has shown in front of every one that he has given her that place and she is his priority. He has invited her to understand his relationship with his mother and indirectly invited her to understand his childhood.
Don't know if that's what makers are showing but I hope they are heading towards some sort of realisation

Not that I am not happy to see changed Ish, but I would love to see old Ish back. Possessive Mother Vs Possessive husband...WOW!!

PS: My workplace has started 'work from home' policies recently. Now I can work 1-2 days from home, which is welcoming change for me. What a happy coincidence!

I don't understand what that has to do with this track though or Dev's possessiveness?
how does that relate?

Narshi, next time please restrict to commenting about the intelligence or lack there off of the "reel" characters and refrain from judging the intelligence of the "real" people. I am not ok with someone referring to me as immature on such a forum especially when I have always been respectful of others.

Just finsihed the episode
I actually loved it...I mean I like possesive Dev but it doesn't work in "real life" meaning for Sona if that makes sense.

He does need to calm down, I would have been angry too if my husband ever did what he did. It's a violation of space.

the one thing i don't get, what does ma/beta and pati/patni love have anything to do with it?

are they saying that Dev is being like season 1 dev but this time for sona?

I don't think obsessive care/love is good in ANY relationship. I don't get the comparison or reference.

Narshi, In one of the recent episodes where they were introducing NIL and Laksh, Sonakshi was shown to order a dress for Ronita. In the sangeet episode of their marriage episodes, Saurabh and Elena was shown to order the dress for her. During neha's wedding, he didn't ask her, but she selected it for him by saying pick maroon one. The only reason Dev asked his secretary to get more shirts when he had just got new ones was because she laughed at him and called his dressing sense boring. Which employee tells their boss that he doesn't have color sense. Yet Sonakshi did that. In that episode he gives her the receipt and specifically tells her that he asked his pa to get shirts of each color. Then shows how the onyx one and the white one looked good. But she once again rejects them saying they are boring. That is when he asks her to suggest one. Who was she to reject his choice again. Even after marriage when Dev goes to her house during heir bhaidhooj fight, and are thrown out during midnight, she talks about his lack of sense of color.

If she can choose dress for Ronita and Dev, why shouldn't they do the same for her. He said that all of them helped him in choosing for her. He even showed a dress that Suhana selected for her. If Sonakshi can make a decision whether Suhana should have her father's name in the birth certificate of life or anything, why shouldn't Suhana pick a dress for her. And Sonakshi is not just an opinionated person, but a very intrusive person. She is sommeone who preaches, but never practices what she preaches.

Hi shaavi

When Sona ordered a dress for ronita it was a gift and she in no way told ronita you must wear this,

Dev did not just gift her a new wardrobe he insisted that she dress the way he wants to see her.

As far as her jawing his employee in season 1 iOS concerned - it was Dev who never gave much option to her to refuse, dev's methods of makin her lose job at the hospital to get her to work for him was unethical in my view. Also Sona interfered in his matters mostly when someone asked for her views, for example she speaks on behalf of Nikki only when she asked to and sons suggested the orange shirt only when Dev asked for her opinion.

She did take decisions like when she decided to go on the 9 day fast after marriage.

Sorry did not mean to offend but wanted to express my pov

I am not judging your intelligence, I just told that , I don't agree with your reasons since we both see from different light.
I am also being respectful and have just expressed my opinion.
Mods,
If me calling reel characters immature is out of line,I am ready to edit my post.

I'm usually not a fan of watching my favourites fight, but I got to admit I'm hooked to watching these two fight. 😆 I'm not even going to bother taking sides because honestly, these two just fight for the sake of fighting 😆 That being said, I'm definitely excited to see how they reach a middle ground on this issue or establish some sort of equilibrium here.

It's quite obvious that the Soha-Golu track running on a parallel is going to be at crossroads with what's happening between Dev and Sonakshi now. On top of that, Ishwari's sort of being a witness in both issues. So it will be interesting to see what the writers have in mind with everything building up all at once. It actually makes the episode quite gripping along with my usual anxiousness to see what's going to happen next. 😃

I guess we watched/watch different series. In the episode where Dev doesn't get Vickky out of jail and RR comes and makes a scene, Sonakshi advises him to listen to his mother and says that she was right. When he tells her who asked her for her opinion, she retorts saying that he wouldn't dare to fire her.

When she muted his phone because he was having fun with Nikki, I didn't hear anyone asking her to do so. Yet she didn't feel that what she did was wrong or that Dev lost chores of Rs worth of business because of her. Dev didn't point to his shopping bags and talk about the clothes in the car when he takes her home. She herself finds the shopping bags and laughs at him when he tells that they have shirts in them shopped for him by his secretary.

Even during their courtship period makes fun of him saying that he doesn't know anything about shampoos because Tina was shopping for him.

These are some of the examples where she gave unsolicited advise when she had no right to do so. It is very impolite to invite the guy whom you are supposed to marry to your workplace which is somebody's home without informing them first. Yet Sonakshi did that too. Even during Neha Ranveer time, when he apologizes to Ranveer for something Neha says, she comments that he did a noble thing. And no one asked her opinion at that time too. When she sees sleeping pills on his night stand questions him and tries to throw them away saying it is bad for health. That time too it was not like Dev asked her if sleeping pills was good for his health or not.

He hires her to be his mother's nutritionist, yet she decides to become the nutritionist for the family and control not just Ishwari's, but Neha, Riya and Nikki's diet too finally including Dev too in that list. No one had asked her to do that.

As DD himself had said she is as flawed as Dev is and there is very little difference between her and Dev in terms of interfering in each other's personal life.
