@Suyash, pls do watch yesterday's episode. It was not only amazing because of last two minutes of Devakshi bliss.

Dev- Nikki heart wrenching conversation, Dev feeling guilty and Ishwari new zeal about finding her own identity, everything was amazing.

N dnt go only by forum response. Twitter and Insta are full of excited reactions.

I'm only one who feeling nikki behave very rude with dev. I understand her point of view that she didn't support marriage etc. But that's not mean she insulted dev . I didn't remember properly she said to sona that dev bhaiya always doing tamasha in others life . I didn't like that dialogue.

Agree with you. I also felt the same. She was rude to say such things. Tamasha? Just too much.

@DQ: I completely agree with your assessment of Ishwari: "she wants to be responsible for a task." Yes, she has done all of this before, and yes, she was very good at it but at that time, she didn't have the luxury of taking pleasure in her work for its own sake. She was always doing it for her children, to bring them out of poverty and give them the best chance at a good life.

Somewere in maintaining that razor-sharp focus, she didn't pay attention to how much personal satisfaction she got out of a job well done. In many ways, this decision echoes the chulha drama very distinctly, but what has changed is Ishwari's core motivation. At that time, she was trying to recreate a moment when she felt purpose and meaning in meeting the needs of her children; she was struggling with the fact that they no longer needed her as much and as a result tried to drag all of them back into the past. Now, on the other hand, she is trying to rediscover that sense of purpose, not as a mother whose role is dependent on others, but as an independent individual. Instead being a slave of the past, she is employing it to help inform her future.

I think Golu and Soha's respective reactions were foreshadoing for Dev and Sona's. Dev will struggle with this, not because he doesn't see dignity in his mother's work or because he is ashamed to have her do manual labour, but because he worked all his life to ensure that she didn't have to. To him, Ishwari's work is associated with helplessness, and constant worry and exhaustion. He is yet to understand fully how his work ethic and his integrity came from the sincerity with which Ishwari approached her own work, no matter how menial. I think Sona will be instrumental in helping him understand that the true gift he gave Ishwari by being so successful is not a life of luxury, but choice. Even if she goes back to being domestic help, there will be an important difference between then and now; she won't be doing it because she has to, but because she wants to.

I think both of them were a little defensive yesterday because they were vulnerable in front of each other, and that is something the Dixits are terrible at. Nikki was terrified about Dev's motivations for being there, that he would judge her relationship or do something drastic to take her away from the life she has built; let's not pretend Dev doesn't have a history with that kind of behavior. At the same time, she probably got very emotional seeing Dev and was worried about how much power he had to hurt her still, so she used literally Lakshya as a shield, and put him between her and Dev, before the latter could say anything at all, positive or negative.

Both Dev and Nikki were so overcome by their own fears that neither of them took the high road and really listened to the other. Lakshya also fell in my esteem yesterday. A fraught moment of reunion between two long-lost siblings is not really the time to make a quip about how quiet your girlfriend's emotional elder brother is. He really should have faded into the background at that moment, close enough that he could be there if Nikki needed him, but silent enough that Dev and Nikki could really take their time to begin a conversation. The constant reminder of his presence made Dev self conscious, and interrupted the immediate wifi signal that connected between Dev and Nikki.

@ Sam
Iswari yesterday told Soha that she went for her work with full heart never felt inferior in doing so. She said she enjoyed doing what she did and excelled in cleaning the vessels etc. She very proudly admitted those facts. So I won't see any difference between then and now if she takes up the same work.Hence I think if she did the same with the purpose of being self sufficient it is superfluous and cinematic. She won't contribute anything to anyone that really is sheer negligence or ignorance on her part. People like her only can do something for others . She doesn't need to work for someone. She needs to create work for some others in need and take pleasure in doing so.

Some one like Dev should enlighten her as he also is so much into helping others without much hungama.

I disagree with the next part also where Nikki's outburst towards Dev is analysed. Nothing gives Nicki the right to accuse her brother of doing tamasha since she is the youngest and a daughter like for Dev. She crossed the limit, while she blamed her brother for doing so.
