The girls certainly have a soft corner for Mami they would have relented. But RR did not try any such thing. She just enjoyed with her own family. So why is Dev guilty towards her? If he stayed away from IN it concerns Iswari not RR. And doesn't he know how bitter her attitude was and is towards Sona? Ridiculous. Among all the Chs only Dev is made to say sorry . I feel disappointed. RR did not deserve his apology.

Agree. I felt he would feel angry at how Mami was subtly bad mouthing his fav women. But he went with folded hands to that lady. 🥱
She has been an architect of the Dixit misery for so long.

Dev the sorry machine is doing all this to keep his family together. No matter how much I am irritated with his sorry marathon, somewhere i understand from where it is coming from and how important it is for him. So for my own sanity, I am just keeping Dev's POV in my mind, whenever he says sorry.

True. Agree completely. And not only would the sorrys help to sooth the ruffled feathers, it could also bring RR onto Devakshi's side, intentionally or unintentionally. Sam explained very nicely in her earlier post. 👏 RR is very emotional lady, apart from being greedy 😛; all she needs is attention and love. She seems to equate love, money (or gifts) and importance (i.e. power or 'keys'). She loves Dev genuinely as her nephew but somewhat conditionally. The respect that Dev and Sona are bestowing her with can potentially make her emotional, with guilt playing underneath - "jiske liye itna bura socha, usne mere liye itna kuch kiya" thing.Ultimately, it may lead to her exposure by Vicky, as Sam had explained.

Sona is doing what she always do but this time she is keeping Dev in loop and being his back bone. The way you explained the root of Sona's intentions of bringing back Dixits sisters is awesome. Apart from making Dev at peace, she can see her own past in it. Bang on.

True. I am loving their new found version of communicating.
Thank you. I felt so because even though Sona never expresses her emotions openly, there are lots of possible emotional undercurrents, that I felt especially in the scene where Sona watches Dev, Ria and rest of the family from the kitchen door. Yes, there can be many other possible explanations, this is only one of them.

I hope they discuss their past 7 years because more than their families they were hurt. N i wanna know about it.

Couldn't agree more. I too want to know. "Mere chaaro or sirf andhera tha" is not helping much. My imaginations start to run wild at the mention of 'andhera' 🤪..(maarna mat!)

I have a slight different take on Nikki standing up for Laksh. Actually at that time Dev wanted to talk to his sister. They have met after so many years and it would be very uncomfortable for him to talk in front of Laksh. He is Nikki's BF not DEv's. For him he was a complete stranger. But i can understand Nikki's POV also, she was scared and wanted the only person she can trust ATM close to her.

@Orange: 😆 😆
Well, I think NiLa have discussed Nikki's family before, like at the start of their relationship, and Laksh seems to have some preconceived notion regarding Nikki's family. Nikki may have shared how her bhaiya and her family hurt her. That is why, he is attempting to protect Nikki from Dev and rest of the Dixit family. Moreover, he already knew Dev was Nikki's brother. Now, that he likes Sona, he may gradually start to understand that they are not as bad as he thought they were.

N yes we have seen protective Dev Dixit through Nikki only. No need for Suhana to grow up and find a handsome guy like Dev babu. 😆

Oh, but the hulk's hammer is missing. 😆
Chalo koi ni, yeh bhi chalega.. 😆

Di, great post! But I am not sure if I agree with all the aspects. For me the greatest gripe with Sonakshi, is the fact that she does not willingly accept her mistakes completely. I think that is why this track is frustrating for me. If you think about it, Dev apologizing is not growth in his character. In Pre-Marriage phase, Season 1, and even now it was always Dev who apologized first. Weather to Sona, Ishu, or anyone, it was always him apologizing first. Until Sona's proposal, Sonakshi never necessarily started anything first, it was always Dev. That is why I really want Sonakshi to feel guilty once, partially so that she can own up her mistake once and partially understand how far guilt can drive a person. Sonakshi understands Dev's intentions but she never understood why he did the things he did, why her mom was called Aunty, or why he ate again for his mother after coming from Bose house. That is why I feel Sonakshi has not grown yet, as a character. Her flaw is still present. Don't get me wrong, Dev not making Soha's existence truth a big deal is kind of sad. If it had been the opposite and Soha was with Dev, and Sonakshi did not know, I don't think she would act like Dev.

Thank you Aishu 😊

I think Dev's ability to apologize, whether or not he is at fault, proves that he is not an egoistical man. Of course, he needs to do more than just apologizing to people. He needs to stand up for his lady when she needs his support, we are yet to see that Dev. Last time I remember seeing that Dev prominently, during Sonakshi's accident track. He also needs to learn how to make necessary people apologize to him. Somewhere I think, being a business man, Dev knows how to do this; he is not able to apply it effectively because he is very emotional about his family.

I understand your frustration with Sonakshi. But I think since she doesn't openly express her inner thoughts, she is most prone to being misinterpreted (like most introvert people, in general). I would not elaborate on the flaws of either Dev or Sonakshi, because various writers here have already discussed them at various points at length; and every character is flawed, nobody is perfect. I feel by now, apart from Dev, Sonakshi too realized some of her flaws, if not all, looking at Dev's sufferings.

I understand that you feel Sonakshi would not have accepted if Dev kept her child away from her. However I feel if Sonakshi was in Dev's shoes seven years ago and Dev had to leave with their child, then Sonakshi would behave exactly how Dev is behaving right now - treating Suhana as Mahadev's blessing. Because seven years apart, they have became like each other in each other's absence. Again, it is my opinion, it is okay if you don't agree.😊

Aishu

Valid point. If Soha is with Dev and Sonakshi was kept in dark ( like in the movie Aa gale lag jaa where Sasi Kapur takes away the new born and keeps him away from Sharmila Tagore)then she would never have forgiven Dev. Bijoy would have created a scene and harassed Dev raising legal points.

But Dev overlooked that fact and never blames Sonakshi for depriving him of his daughter's truth.Dev is feeling bad even for things that he is not at fault. Sonakshi ignores her fault and never feels guilty or never shows her guiltyness. The difference lies there.

I just came to share two more things that struck my mind.

I am not sure how CVs are going to proceed with respect to Nikki and Laksh's live-in relationship, but I feel Laksh is genuinely loves Nikki and is pretty serious about her as his partner. Why else would the guy name his baby App and company after them - NiL. The company is an important part of his career and could stay with him for his lifetime, and perhaps same goes for Nikki and him, hence the name. It reminds me of Steve Jobs naming Apple Lisa after his first born daughter. One can also draw parallel with the name of Dev's company - Ishwari enterprises.

Also, even though Nikki drew herself away from her brother and her family in general, the partner she sought for herself is similar to Dev as a young man - a guy trying to build his own identity on his own terms by setting up his own company and gradually trying to get a foothold in the mainstream business. I cannot compare Laksh's love for his family with that of Dev's or even business ethics. We are not yet acquainted with his back story, would have to wait more. But as of now, I feel though still somewhat immature, he does love Nikki.

Lovely analysis-es going on. But, the sad part is that, not one of them is helping me to connect back. On top of it, today this question just came to my mind - If Dev's breakdown on Sona's engagement day where he poured out his helplessness in not being able to end his life because of his responsibilities, had any effect on Sona, then Sona never would have left Dev just like that; atleast when everything cooled down and she was back to her senses, she would have made a full hearted effort to inform Dev about Soha. With that thought popping up, I am now not being able to appreciate any of Sona's current efforts to revive the old Dev. And I am not sure, whether an upcoming breakdown by Sona will help me connect back to the show. Sorry for the discouraging words...Wanted to vent my disappointment somewhere; So chose this safe zone.
Now, what attracts me to the show is Ishwari's change, the 3 lil munchkins and my curiosity to see how Vicky & RR are going to be exposed.
