Interesting discussions 👍🏼

However, I feel this is the messiest blooper by creatives. I wonder how they would cover it up and justify it along with the story. There are lots of contradictions regarding this, and I am actually looking forward how they deal with this. (just my POV no offence...)

Right now, after the episode, I am thinking only one thing:

Dev Dixit can certainly tie a tie and get it tied too...😉😆😆 (on the note of have a cake and eat it too)

BTW, can anyone please explain we are not seeing Dev and Sona wearing anything orange? Especially, now that they have reunited.

A/N: Hello, everyone... I hope that everyone had a great and a relaxing weekend... And, before I forget, Eid Mubarak to all of you...

This post is going to be sort of... my farewell post...

No, No... I am not going to leave India Forums or this thread... I will continue to stalk this forum.. But, due to a work thing, it will be next to impossible for me to write any kind of post or analysis, at least for the next 2-3 weeks...

So, the following post could be considered as my last one, for the foreseeable future...

==========

A lot of discussion had happened during the weekend regarding things like Sonakshi returning keys to Mamiji or revelation regarding Dev-Sona's actual marital status...

I frankly don't think that I can say anything which had not been already said by one of the members of this thread or the forum members... Hence, I will not like to go into this issues and hence, will skip over anything related to these topics...

In this post, I will only discuss about the beautiful episode that was aired today... I couldn't have asked for a better start to Week 24 of Season 2... So, here are my views...

1. Was sad after hearing Rhea's words and her accusations against Dev

Due to being stuck in a traffic jam, I missed the first half of the episode, when it first aired on the television..

For me, the episode started with the conversation between Ishwari and Rhea...

I can understand the pain and the grief that Rhea must have felt like when her elder brother didn't attend her wedding and didn't even try to establish any sort of.. contact with her...

I could definitely understand her hurt when Sonakshi called her since Sona failed to be the bridge between her and Dev... And, for breaking Dev so much, that he longer had the will to take care of his sister's emotional needs...

I could understand her anger for feeling like her brother has abandoned her or for feeling that Ishwari only loves Dev and not her...

And, she definitely deserves to be furious at both Dev, Sonakshi as well as Ishwari for being the source of her sadness for the past 7 years... She definitely deserves an apology from Dev as well as Sona and Ishwari for playing their part in her misery...

But, I don't definitely agree that she is faultless in all of this and only Dev is responsible for her pain... In fact, I am furious at her for thinking that Dev has treated her like a second-class citizen...

Her accusations might have been correct in their place but it doesn't negate the countless number of rights that Dev did as a brother...

Rhea would have been only been 2-3 years when her father died.. So, I understand that she considers Dev more like a father figure than a brother... And, this must have been hurt her a little bit more, as she had always respected him and admired him...

But, it doesn't excuse her for blaming Dev or holding him responsible for neglecting her or not loving her enough...

Dev was a mere boy of 8 years old when he was forced to step into the shoes of his father and was burdened with the responsibility of raising his 3 younger sisters..

He sacrificed his own childhood and his own desires, so that his sisters (especially Rhea and Nikki) could enjoy and cherish their childhood... He also understood Neha's pain and hence, fulfilled all of her demands and pampered her... (I understand that Neha was neglected emotionally but it was not at all Dev's fault... He neither wished nor desired to be the most loved child of his mother..)

But, for all the love that Ishwari showered on him, it also came with its own burdens and expectations...

He might not have expressed his love for his sisters or been part of their childhood in a massive way, but it doesn't make his contributions as the provider and as the one person, who was responsible for empowering them, by giving his unconditional support and love to all of them...

In every sense of the word, he acted as the father of her sisters... He might have no one from whom to learn on how to be a good father/brother, but it doesn't mean, that he was not a good father/brother...

On the contrary, he was an excellent father figure and role model for all of his sisters.. Especially Rhea... He supported her in all of her endeavors, whether her education or her career...

He taught her the most fundamental lessons of life like earning respect, value of hard work and being an individual who had the strength and the will to be the master of her own destiny...

He wiped her tears, when she cried... He protected her from the all the vultures seeking to hurt her and he revelled and glowed in happiness when he saw the content and the beautiful smile on Rhea's (as well as his other sister's) face(s).

Even after the first break up, he suffered alone since he had the responsibilities of his sisters and his mother... And, after marriage, his first priority, instead of being Sonakshi, was still his family's happiness and well being.. And, in the end, it was his family which became the factor (not per se, Rhea or Nikki) for his bitter separation from his wife...

The same family for whom he was ready to sacrifice everything became the reason for his love to be seemingly be lost forever... Yes, he broke and shattered himself... His family which was supposed to be his strength became his biggest weakness...

And, instead of being a strong support system at his most vulnerable phase, what did his sisters do? Blame him for isolating and abandoning them... Do we abandon and accuse the people closest to our hearts, when they are broken?

Was it not their responsibility as his sisters to become his hope and help him in standing back on his own two feet?

In one of my first posts on the Weekly Thread, I spoke about conditional and unconditional love... And, frankly, today, I felt like Rhea's love for her brother was conditional...

And, after watching today's episode, I sincerely wish and hope that Dev gets his due and his sisters (especially Rhea) apologise to him, for not being there for him, when he needed her the most...

No doubt, some members of this thread are absolutely frustrated with the lack of sympathy and understanding towards Dev (not only from the characters of the show but also, some of the members of this thread)..

In my opinion, Dev is not only an absolutely brilliant individual or a human being... But, he, in some ways, is also the best father figure present in the show..

Today's scene was strong enough evidence to support my argument... Even today, he defended his sisters and took all the blame on his shoulders, citing that he was responsible for their agony...

He not only accepts them but at the same time, also desires their happiness, in spite of being separated from them for such a long time... He has such a strong faith in the goodness and his sisters' strength as individuals, that he knew that whatever path they will choose for themselves, it will be the right one...

He has complete faith in their judgements and their decisions... He is sad that he no longer is part of their lives, but is happy that his sisters are happy in their lives...

For me, he is the most perfect father figure in the show and his sisters, along with Soha and Golu are indeed blessed to have him as their protector/guardian in the form of a brother or a father/BigCha...

2. Devakshi's Scenes were absolute Heaven.

(Writing this point, after finally watching the complete episode)

Today's scenes and conversations between Dev and Sona were an absolute bliss to watch...

Every moment and frame that they were in, just screamed, 'Extraordinary and Ethereal'...

It all started out with the beautiful scene where Dev was helping Soha to prepare her for school and his insistence to do it, without Sona since he knew she was the reason behind everything in place...

Not only he acknowledged Sona's efforts, but also gave her deserved due... At the same time, his insistence and his request to Sona, to not try be a 'Wonder Woman' and relax, and let him also help, since he is her partner made my eyes tear up, like the radiant smile that Sona had, when she observed her family standing at the door of the room...

Today, we finally saw Dev, the perfect husband... I would have been happy with that very scene but what followed in the last 5-8 minutes of the episode, just had me crying buckets seeing the progress and the maturity that has come between the two, when it comes to themselves and their relationship...

The scene where they both discuss about their shortcomings during their initial days of their marriage, when Dev continuously used to lie or hide things from Sona to not hurt but in the end, he, due to one reason or another, ended up causing her grief and sorrow...

Or, Sona's drive to solve everything on her own, without anybody's help (including his) only became the reason for the increased misunderstandings and loss of trust in each other..

I was so pleasantly surprised by how normally and subtly, they discussed the issues that had become the reason for their painful separation...

There are so many innumerable moments that just brought so much pleasure to me, today that I don't even think that any amount of words could describe the joy and the serenity that I experienced while watching their scenes, especially their conversation in the garden or their scene where they were making their little angels (Soha and Golu) ready for school...

I adored and gushed at how maturely both Dev and Sona discussed the matters related to Neha, Rhea and Nikki... I loved how Sona didn't hide anything from Dev and revealed everything to him and he absorbed the information and understood Sona's emotions and feelings...

It is so good to finally see that communication which was, once upon a time, their Achilles heel, has finally become their greatest strength... The trust and the faith that they both have in their relationship and each other is just a joy to watch and revel in...

But, coming back to the garden scene... It was so good to see Dev peacefully sitting against the pillar or Sona sitting serenely on her favorite hanging jhoola... It is so ironic that once the jhoola that looked so out of place in the mansion finally feels like it is placed at the most perfect location...

Like Sona, the jhoola has also found its rightful place...

Loved their beautiful conversation about how Sona and Dev will teach Soha about the things, they love from each other's culture (even though, they might not be completely in love with it)...

In some ways, it also spoke volumes about how long have they come into their journey and how they both accept their daughter is not only a Bose or a Dixit but she is both and they respect this thing... In some ways, we have finally seen Sona and Dev accepting each other's families and their traditions in the true sense...

But, my absolute favorite was the scene where both Sona and Dev understood that they are each other's life partners and their foremost priority is their relationship and each other... They have finally understood and realised where they have went wrong and I am absolutely loving the 'haq' or the possessiveness that each had regarding the other...

Loved the dialogue where they both understood that Sona is Dev's 'woman' and Dev is Sona's 'man'... And, then, the delight and the glowing smile that made my eyes shine with adoration and affection for these two beautiful souls was the scene where Dev laid her head in Sona's lap while she caressed his hair in the most gentle and loving manner...

I don't know about others, but I have rarely seen something more beautiful and I don't think that anyone will ever question the love or their soulmate connection after watching today's scene... I could continue watching this scene for eternity...

And, the last scene which was just the perfect way of ending this absolutely magical episode... No, saying it an episode will be an insult to its magnificence...

The only word that could be used to describe today's brilliance is that today's episode was an experience which could only be felt like a cool breeze rejuvenating your tired body and soul when it dances and curls around you...

The last scene was like a cherry on top of an already delicious cake... I finally got my ever-eternal wish when I witnessed the scene where Dev and Sona prepared Soha and Golu for the school... It felt like such a classic and ever-beautiful family moment... At the moment, it felt like the family of Sona and Dev is now complete and their dreams of living a fairytale has finally been achieved...

Watching the scene brought me so much peace and calmness... In my humble opinion, the last few minutes of the episode probably, is the best and the most wonderful family moment scene in the whole series...

It is truly well said, that every good thing comes with time and patience... And, probably, this is why, we have to wait so long to finally see and witness the absolutely soul-stirring and marvellous beginning of the most wonderful and magical fairy tale that the world has ever witnessed.

==========

P.S: And, finally my ever-eternal and never ending analysis of this episode comes to an end...

It is such a pity but also, such a delight for me, to say that this most magical episode could become the source of my last post (at least, for the next couple of weeks)..

I don't even have the words to praise the excellence and the skill of the makers, writers, editors and of course, the ever fantabulous cast of this show, especially Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes...

Today's episode deserves all the praise and the accolades in the world and I can only give yet another standing ovation...

I sincerely request everyone to watch today's episode.. It was such a delight and pleasure to watch it...

And, with this, I bid all of you adieu and I will see you around... Don't worry, I will be always available for all of your queries and questions...

I hope that you all have enjoyed reading my post and feel free to express your views...

Till next time,
Suyash.

Absolutely brilliant the way that you explain! Me too loved the episode. KRPKAB always has a habit of delivering the most hard hitting episodes or significant ones when least expected. And that's what happened today. In all conversation the maturity is surreal. It's like everything we wanted. That are realising every point where they went wrong! Sadly but I feel that due to this want for romance people are missing out on appreciating these episodes which I don't want to happen.
I hope everyone readd your post!
Love it and thank you!

Fabulous post Suyash. Have a slightly different POV wrt Riya though. Typing from mobile. Please ignore typos.
The sisters were really more sensitive to the family dynamics and undercurrents. They were even scared to ask anything to their brother directly. After Sona entered into their lives there were attempts to forge a bond. After Neha's Bidai the kids didn't go to both their mother or brother though they felt Neha's lose terribly. Dev went to them to console. During the shopping and family photo fiasco they were more tensed than the people concerned but were not able to tell their brother to take it slow or that their mother is unhappy. When Ishwari took the pills and was in the hospital they never blamed anyone even when GKB tried to instigate. They understood Ishwari's insecurities better than Dev. Post break up they knew their brother was broken but Ishwari was there saying that everything will be fine and that he is strong to come out of this. Post marriage when they felt Sona losing herself in kitchen politics they helped her to take initiative to go to the resort. Even during the birthday they didn't directly ask where their bhabi was or to wait for her. They just went with the moment until Sona arrived and joined the party. They were the only ones who clued in to the fact that Sona didn't ate the cake. What I am trying to say is they never interfered directly but helped those who wanted to be helped. After Sona left Dev, he himself said that when his family tried to talk he sent them away by giving money. That he bought solitude from them. How difficult it might have been for them for these past years with him ignoring them. They never knew their father but lost their father in true sense these 7 years. " Where there is anger there is pain underneath ". - Elkhart Tolle.
They do love their brother and is just angry with him for punishing them for no fault of theirs. He just has to take the first step they will embrace him without any complaints.

Fabulous post Geena. Waiting to see how things go with Nikki (I loved her hair in the precap!)

With Nikki and Riya, this was always my beef. Why does Dev always have to be doing things for them. I know they used to reach out to him, only to be barked at by a distracted-angry-young-man Dev and then to be shushed away by Neha and Ishwari.. Ishwari was too busy managing Dev's anger or modulating his relationships. Dev was 6-8 years older than both of them. Its not a small age gap. However, as time went, they started finding common ground with bhaiya.

Like you said, they were usually there for Dev & Sona when they needed them, but never spoke outright. I am curious to see Nikki reaction because she had a better rapport with Sona.

However, based on what I heard so far in the episode yesterday, it seems like the culmination of what Ishwari had been doing to the sibling relationship for years. Neha was always right in saying that Ishwari's happiness lies with Dev. Ishwari used to b happy with the girls, but only when she had had her daily quote of Dev. Which is why Riya has interpreted this as, now if Bhaiya is happy you are happy too..

The sad reality, however for me is that Dev had expected everyone to be happy in his happiness (which to Riya and Nikki's credit they were), and empathize with him in his sorrow. We have heard Dev's version of the events where he says he used to send people away with money i.e. he assumed people were coming to him for money only. I guess as much as Nikki and Riya loved the attention and gifts Dev used to shower on them, they had a soft corner for bhaiya too.

I am still not able to pinpoint if Riya's anger/disappointment is with Ishwari/Dev/Sonakshi/all of them. And then ofcourse.. there is always social media.. If you can see your bhaiya is gasping for a moment with bhabhi, wont you try and find her? Just like a family member would move heaven and earth to find a matching Kidney donor? I think Riya and Nikki would. I would say Neha and mami have a role in all of this. Waiting to see...

Just to add to the above the girls didn't let Ishwari hide behind them. Ishwari tried to hide the real issue behind her concern for the girls but they took her to task and made her answerable by not taking sides and by not allowing her to victimise herself in all this. That in itself speak volumes. Sorry IF and my mobile donom aaj pagal hein 😆

@gmgi I completely agree with your point of view, especially since you are looking at Dev's actions from the POV of Rhea, Neha and Nikki's perspectives...

And, it completely makes sense and is also justified...

And, this is why, in my post, I have mentioned that I could understand Rhea's pain as well as agree to the fact, that Dev is also responsible for the pain and the grief... But, where I disagree is that Dev is the only one who is supposed to seek forgiveness...

The reasons we have a slightly different POV, is because I have written my arguments, keeping Dev's perspective in mind...

But, if you allow me, I would like to draw your attention to some key facts that I have observed in the last few episodes...

There is a famous quote, 'Even though children might be younger in age... But, sometimes, they are the ones who guides their elders to the right path.'

I am truly grateful that you have expressed your points and arguments... But, I would like to tell you why I feel so strongly about Rhea's absence and why I am so disappointed after hearing her conversation with Ishwari...

I want to compare Neha, Nikki and Rhea with Golu and Soha... I know, that it might be not be the ideal comparison case...

(And, I am intentionally excluding Sonakshi or Ishwari from this list, since I feel that the relationship between them and Dev is too different than the one shared by Dev's sisters with him...)

Let's look at the similarities first...

1. Everyone including the sisters as well as the kids idolize or admire Dev... They all love him and feel concerned for him...

2. For Neha, Nikki and Rhea, Dev might be their brother but they have always respected him and treated him like a father figure...

Similarly, Golu might be Dev's nephew but he loves Dev like a son loves his father... And, Soha is already Dev's daughter.. So, I don't think I need to even define their relationship...

3. All of them always have certain expectations or desires that they wish Dev to fulfill...

Now, coming to the differences...

1. Dev's sisters have always hesitated to express their true desires in front of Dev, even though, he has never neglected them and has always strived to cater to all of their needs, not only materialistic but also emotional ones...

On the other hand, both Suhana and Golu are not only expressive about their true desires and expectations but also, don't hesitate to speak out their mind, even though they know it might hurt Dev...

2. And, the most important difference between them that I feel makes all the difference between them...

When Dev is sad or in grief, his sisters tend to keep a safe distance from him and doesn't try to console him or share his pain...

On the other hand, both Soha and Golu always try to cheer Dev up by either expressing their love for him verbally or through their gestures like hugging him or saying to him that they love him... In short, both the kids try to pass their innate positivity and affection for their Papa/BigCha and help him to come out of his sorrows...

And, this is where I am so disappointed by Rhea's words or her decision to never come back into Dev's life like he has committed some kind of heinous crime...

Golu and Soha are mere 6 year old kids, who loves Dev so much, that they can't even bear to see him sad... But, on the other hand, despite being adults, his sisters has also... in some ways, left him, just because he failed to do one duty correctly...

I don't mean to trivialize the pain that Neha and Rhea must have felt, on their wedding days but I don't think that it justifies their subsequent actions...

And, since you have mentioned the dialogue where Dev mentioned how he used to give them money, so that he could be left alone...

If I have correctly heard the complete dialogue, that he also mentions that whenever Neha, Nikki and Rhea had problems, they used to come to him for his advice or his help... He never mentioned the fact that they came to him, to provide him solace or comfort him...

I still believe that all of them still love Dev and if he takes the first step (which I know, he will... Since, he is the one who always had the courage to accept his mistakes), then they will come back to him...

And, while I wish, they do come back into his life... I sincerely hope that each of them realise their own follies and comes to him regardless of Dev's actions... I am actually tired of seeing Dev always being put in a position where he is supposed to prove his love for the people closest to him...

Like I mentioned earlier, I don't have any issues with your opinions... They are completely right in their own place... Probably, I, being a man, is not able to completely understand the extent of pain that a woman feels when she leaves her home to start a new life...

If that is the case here, then I am extremely sorry for hurting yours or anyone's feelings...

And, I would also like to thank you since your post provided me the much needed distraction to finally refresh myself after the exhausting meeting with my team...

@Tia I also wish to be back at this thread, as soon as possible... And, thank you so much for reading and appreciating my post...

Can't wait to come back...
