For a moment, I thought Dev was being introspective...but his bitterness still reigned supreme. I feel Sona has had more healing, because she had Suhana afterall, and her family. Isliye, usne 'yaadon ke sahaare jeena sikh li'...?
I was sad that Sona did not take Dev's outstretched hand for support when he offered it, when she was in pain...but I can't blame her either. I understand the hurt she was feeling in that moment. I am not sure that she has as yet understood what Dev's complaint to her was either (he always wanted to act as a team, and was there for her if only she'd have asked).

😭

It seems, only Soha will be able to force them to reflect deeply and acknowledge their own mistakes in their past relationship. 😳 Frankly, I am okay with that, because in essence, that is as real as it gets.

You should read my comment pretty much in conjuction to what has been said on this thread and 8 previous threads. Marriage is for keeps. Where I am looking at it, one doesn't break their marriage over a "get out". You get out of the situation. You take a breather. And then you look at what is the issue here. Why are we not able to live peacefully with respect and with love. Trust me, doormats have a long unhappy married life. Doormats don't walk out of a marriage. They actually have bouts of happy days. They learn to co-exist. What Dev and sonakshi had wasn't coexistence. They had misaligned plans. I'll dig an old thread on the 5 love languages for you. Their expectations were very different. They were fanned further by Ishwari's insecurities and ijoy's constant need to be assured that his daughter is not having to compromise.

And when I say marriage is for keeps, I don't mean that someone needs to tolerate mental or physical abuse. But devakshi had been married only for 5 months. They didn't even own their marriage. They were living for others. They needed to talk and communicate more.

I hope I made sense

Also by marriage I don't mean the actual wedded couple. I mean anyone who has a long term commitment

Does that fire represent Dev's hatred/anger?We have heard a lot of stress given for the same throughout S2.Suhana seems to have fuelled his anger towards Sona.I dont really know how to elaborate. That fire only seemed to be helping him.Sona was still shivering.WHen they finally came close that fire was nearly dying.

At last mein aa gayi..And soo many pages of analyses to catch up but before that I couldn't stop myself from making a post on whatever transpired..
I was laughing madly at their tashan wala love but at the same time noticed the deeper more than just words convos be it lightly or the serious talks. Both of them agree that life was not easy for them and both accept that it was bitter. The cliche was no one is ready to accept their own mistakes. Because the wounds are too deep. They blindly accepted the fact that they cannot be together without any second thoughts. The problem is that their hesitation and ego comes into play whenever they want to eat up the words uttered on that fateful night. Don't we feel the same when we we utter something in anger and come back to apologize to a person you are not in talking terms? In fact we gather guts even to stand in front of them. Here too is the case but with extremities in emotions. So they cover themselves with a verbal blanket of hate. I bet whenever they recall their separation, the first thing they experience is hurt which is then covered by hate. But as always actions speak louder than words and children see right through them as they have a simple heart. I have a hope though because he more you rant out the more empty is the glass to fill it with love. I was smiling seeing rekindled fire which was put out in shimla.

Tell me one thing. Why on earth does ishwari goes into high BP thinking of her son's reunion with his wife? Any parent would atleast have a small hope. And Sonakshi herself is earning bread even if she thinks about money. Did she find her son all these years to lose him again if sona comes back with soha? Don't tell me she is thinking of pulling only soha ready to separate her from her mother. I don't want that. i don't want a rock version of ho ho music now.

When I watched the episode with my mind out of the gutter (yeah it does come out of there sometimes), here's what I saw.
When Dev tells sonakshi you think my life is a joke in parallel mami starts instigating Ishwari. This is going back to what she told him about sleeping pills. Sonakshi is pretty much telling him to stop trying to make a joke out of his pain. And he is telling her, you don't understand my life.

This is his selfish wala love. His flashbacks were about those times when he calls her egoist. He is realising that why did it not work out. It was because he needed someone who would empathise with the wrongs in his environment and he is acknowledging in his heart that calling her egoistic was wrong. It's his circumstances that need special treatment. He is back to saying "tum nahi samjhogee" . He was desperate for her to first empathise with him by getting to know those challenges and he is still at the same place.

Great thoughts n discussions everyone . Even the makers of this show'll get amused seeing these beautiful analysis n interpretations if they visit this thread .
Dev quotes his daughter's words to sona.." jo warning nahi sunte, usse chot lagke hi seekhna padta hai ". Dev n sona went in 2 different directions after releasing their common problem , "snake " out of their lives . But sona got hurt n dev came to her rescue. I too was impressed with sona as she overcame her fear of darkness Circumstances good or bad ,will make u learn everything ( Btw, kya kuch nahi nikla uss bag se saanp ke alawa 😕... torch, chocolate, bottle(? ) , then shawl ...waah dev ,,aap toh bahot planning karke aaye ho kya ?? mauka aur dastoor !! 😆)

Btw, Dev making sona to ask for help was nt @ all praiseworthy or funny . I didn even felt the necessity of that scene der. Dev is that kind of a man who can"t c sona in pain. Dev is that kind of a man who reached her home even after midnight bcoz he saw her "H" message & thought she needed help. But this dev , the separation from sona pushed him to such a zone wer his frustration, anger , hatred, helplessness & lonelyness overpowers his buried deep luv for sona.

Wen dev offered that bottle to sona, i jst remembered shahrukh 's " tum bhi thodi si peelo senorita " from DDLJ & the "zara sa jhoom lu mein " after that . He adviced her to take it so that she'll able to bear the pain while he's fixing that temporary wooden splint on her leg ( Being a dr herself ( nutritionist), sona got panic during the sneezing n mild fever of soha but dev was cool enuf to mend sona's leg using those available sticks from the vicinity. Men r mentally strong than women ? ...Noo , nt for another debate .I wud say 50 - 50 ) I think, Cvs r giving explanation as y dev was shown as a drunkard . " It will nt lessen u'r pain but u'll b able to bear it . I've practised the same for the last 7 yrs. " Sona denied @ first but unable to bear the pain , took a sip & exclaimed how bitter it tastes to which dev replied if life is bitter, then v didn feel bitterness in any other things. Sona replied that she too suffered the same. They had a good heart to heart talk after ages but since dev is dev & sona is sona , nothing materialised as " dil ke faisle dimag se lete hai " . It was good to c that both dev n sona remembered soha @ the same time. They left the place but the fire was burning which reminded me of one of my favourite songs " dil me magar jalte rehe chahat ke diye, tere liye..tere liye "(veer zara)

Screenplay was amazing with some noteworthy dialogues .In Sona's saanp , saanp prank i felt more erica than sona , esp her laughing . Ishwari's hyperventilation knowing the proximity of sona with dev , even after these 7 yrs , is beyond my imagination as dev himself detached himself from his maa or @ least that's wat he's showing. This waqt ne kiya is becoming as irritating as ho ho .. how long v hav to bear these more ?

Hello!
Yesterday's episode was amazing, as usual!

I'm glad that they said what they felt, yesterday.

Now their anger is out in the open and they know what they think of each other and they also know what the other feels.

Dard dono ko hua.

Life dono ki hi unhappy hai.

And Soha is the most important for both of them.

With these common points, things are now going to slowly start going right. Because taking care of Soha automatically menas taking care of each other.

And Soha now having set that condition in the precap, things are going to get even more interesting now.

Along with strengthening their relationship with Soha as a complete family, Devakshi will also explore their own relationship and make amends along the way, though that is not going to be easy because Bishwari, Ex-GKB and her Red will not make things easier.

So let's see how the plot proceeds!
Excited for next week!😃

Anamika, I am not surprised my post makes little sense. I am struggling to explain this myself.
The first thing we need to tell ourselves was, as far as Dev and Sona were concerned they really didn't care if the jhula was in the room or our of the room, if Bijoy threw them on the roads or not etcetera etcetera.

When Dev said is it bad to be selfish in love and sona said no... that wasn't about being selfish with your partner. It was being selfish to the point of wanting your partner to place you above everyone else and you doing the same. Now here's where things get difficult to comprehend. It might look like Dev used to put Ishwari above sona & Sona used to pit Bijoy above Dev. That's not the point. The point is Dev and Sona were(are) soulmates. When you are connected at that level, what happens with the external world doesn't matter. "I slapped your dad. Help me apologise. Kick me out on the neighbourhood. Don't talk to me for days. But in the end we are one. Please don't tell me you are leaving."

Dev was saying to Sona in season 1 when they had the pills discussion and now when they had the jokes discussion- my life needs special treatment. And he isn't saying it's an entitlement. Watch his face when he talks about the joke. He is begging her. He is saying don't bring your ego into this (and thus those flashbacks) .

Sona wanted a simple life where all she needed was that her husband would do things for her family and she does things for his. Dev had started getting it but as soon as he did through first act, slapgate happened. And we are back to square 1. Dev needed a lot of handholding . A lot of it.
