@Tia...superb analysis of the Thursday & Friday episodes on pages 32 & 37...eagerly waiting to hear more from you, as the story progresses...

@Geena...kudos to your post on page 38 and for your explanation on ''I hate you'...To your question, "So what made him not do what he does, this time around?" Along with your answer 'It was the statement that she doesn't even want to live in the same city that he lives', I think Dev was also tired of convincing Sonakshi, which he had kept doing every now & then; but this time he just felt that there was no use in going circles, where everytime he had to prove himself/his love and again next time Sona distrusts him.

@Chits...that was a wonderful explanation on apna-paraya...and, yes...that's what Dev expected from Sona.

@Payalji...that was a fantastic take on the double standards of some, in the name of feminism. Sam in one of her threads had explained the difference of feminism & misandrist...And it's really sad to see in the name of feminism, some are having a that totally prejudiced take as misandrists...😔

@Samanalyse...thanks for all the wonderful analysis and the new new words you teach us. ...You have also superbly expressed in minimal words, the crux of the show...👍🏼

@Latha...thanks for your nice words...yeah, I too felt at peace reading Suchi's write-up. Liked your balanced take on Dev & Sona's flaws, as well.

And agree with you completely on the below thoughts.

  • 'I can't agree with people when they try to paint Sona as mahan who gave everything in her relationship and dev as monster who destroyed their relationship with all his mistakes'
  • 'I still feel Dev's love for Sona was/is/will be a step above than Sona's love for Dev.'
  • The only difference between Sona and dev is, dev always concentrated on her strengths by understanding her intentions even when she messed up situations where as Sona concentrated on Dev's weaknesses more by blaming him for every wrong. Most of the times when ever she understood his intentions it's just because of asha's words and not because of her own understanding or realization.

@Saumiee...you have worded it nicely how Sona's innocent confidence in love didn't work out for them. She missed to find practical solutions (as DQ has expressed in one of her threads) when they had to face real life situations.

@DQ, @Rekha, @Shaavi, @timbarucha83, @sjain, @yyy, @Havima, @Mishti...👍🏼to you too for your wonderful views...keep on sharing.

BTB, missing deepsel...where are you dear?

I remember when Dev and Sonakshi had first disagreed about something, about Dev attending the pooja, He was miffed and said, how not everything and everyone was perfect...
Sonakshi had this ideology about love "Lekin humara pyaar perfect hai"
She believed only love was enough to heal all wounds. When day by day, she saw things weren't as idealistic as she thought, that love is not always enough to fix everything, she reached her breaking point. It was not just one day but the cumulative effect of it all that she just barged out never to return back, totally contrary to her ideology of love and marriage.
Now she doesn't believe in this power and filmy love stories, She says it loud and clear to Suhana that Her life is not 'Kuch Kuch Hota hai' but Alas! She doesn't realise it is exactly going that way😉
Also, this reminds me of a dialogue from Badri Ki Dulhania when the lead's friend asks her if she knows the boy loves her and whether she loves him...
To which she says..
"Haan pyaar karte hai hum, toh kya karein? Sirf pyaar ka kya karein? Humare relationship me na respect hai na kuch aur, pyaar ka kya karein batao"
The protagonist had super practical approach to it.

I enjoy reading your posts/comments and agree often.
I agree with your analysis, xpt one thing...:"she reached her breaking point. It was not just one day but the cumulative effect of it all that she just barged out never to return back, totally contrary to her ideology of love and marriage." Sonakshi never barged out.. she was literally thrown out of the house. I still believe that if Dev stopped her that day, she would have turned around and returned. but Dev never stopped her, never believed her, convinced that Sonakshi was the root cause of his mother's pain. and that broke her that day! but then, if that never happened, Sonakshi wouldn't have risen from the ashes and become the strong woman she always was.

Thank you😊
What I meant to was, that even though Dev was the one who had asked her to 'Get Out'.. Sonakshi had respectfully walked out of the house and her relationship before things got uglier or better.
The first breakup had Dev making a decision, second had Sona. Sonakshi was someone who had undying faith in marriage and love and like you said, she would have returned had Dev stopped her. Even after she was thrown out of her own house, she had a little hope to reconcile. She did not go to the farm house to end the relationship but to get the answers to her questions.
But, after Vicky handed over the papers, it was Sona who took the things in her hands first, and signed the papers. Dev, at that moment, realised it has all ended and started speaking bitterly.

In no way, I intend to blame Sona or say she was more responsible for breaking their marriage😊, she had her own strong reasons to walk out (That is why I said day by day, it all built up) but She definitely wasn't ousted out of the relationship, she willingly walked out of it, infact both ended it consciously .

Hi all 😊
I am yet to catch-up with this thread, weekdays have become very hectic . However I would like to share few quick observations from yesterday's episode:

This time around, Dev seems to understand when Sona needs help and extend help without her asking for it - eg. keeping painkillers, volunteering to repair that toy car, tying stick to her feet, supporting her to the room etc. However, it is too early to conclude this; the future episodes would tell more.

In the orphanage, Dev only introduced Suhana and Golu; and not Sona. And was the shortage of pizza intentional? I dunno.😕 (BTW, was that the same orphanage where KRPKAB fans made donation? Was the orphanage part a tribute to this effort?😊)

Also, the episode seemed a bit rushed, though I enjoyed it. I would have enjoyed it more if they showed how Dev and Sona felt travelling in the same car with changed dynamics. They have so many memories associated with car - good (khargosh moment, Shimla return etc.) and bad (Sona had found the pregnancy reports in the car, Dev's accident). Maybe they did not go into so much details because Shaheer had to go for his movie shoot, but they can show flashbacks.😉

Like Sona, Suhana is - kind, compassionate, intelligent and beautiful😳😊. But with Papa Dixit in picture, she is also slowly learning to wear her heart on her sleeve and demand her deep seated desire to see her parents together.

Sona is melting faster than ice.😆😉 Golu is a sweetheart, I don't want the child to feel insecure because of Suhana. Dev pays too little attention to him when Suhana is around.

I am very curious about Sona and Golu bonding. He seems to gush over his BigChi😳 (Suhana ki mom kitni beautiful hai na BigCha 😳😆). I want to witness a scene between Sona and Golu where Golu asks Sona cute weird questions. 🤣
