The absence of the Dixit sisters in the last 7 episodes has also confused me. Yesterday we saw that Vicky and Elena are using Neha's old bedroom so, it is clear that Neha does not live in the house anymore. Now if you look at Dev's responsibilities, it was to marry off the sisters, continue gifting them at regular intervals, and take care of his mother. He was later burdened with Tripathi & Co. When he says he has taken care of all his responsibilities, isnt he telling his mother he recons he has amassed enough wealth and is he now allowed to live life on his own terms? He is still seeking permission but not giving her any other option but to say yes

@Bold - precisely. and I hope Ishwari wont let that happen this time. because as much in denial as she is about the reason for the current state of affairs, she clearly told mamaji that she wont ask anymore of Dev because she might end up losing whatever little is left

She won't ask any more of Dev, but will stop Vicky and Mami from doing it? Ishwari was never able to silence them before, and like we have been discussing, needs them to validate her villification of Sona, but where does she put her own issues aside and step in for her child? If the Riya-Ayaan issue is anything to go by, she will need Sona's help here.

I could be wrong, however, like you said Sam, money may not even be an issue. Firstly, Soha herself is currently heir to 400cr herself and also, when did money ever matter to Devakshi? THAT is where ishwari's problems I think are going to start. Exactly where they were left 7 years ago. The prenup was all about money and devakshi were never about money

Oh money certainly won't be an issue for Devakshi, but it will be the central concern for the rest of the characters. That is why I am interested. Sona was violently ejected because she threatened to cut off Vicky's access to Dev's money, and now Dev himself is cutting Vicky off, after securing him with a 500cr company, but leave it to Vicky to focus on the cutting off part. I just don't see how this vicious cycle is ever going to end unless Dev abandons his fortune and leaves, which he is trying to do now anyway. Here is where Ishwari's involvement might get interesting if she goes to bat for Suhana's rights, but will she overlook her traditional views about girl children inheriting wealth?

You may be onto something here Shaavi. You recall how after Natasha thing, the day after the confession (aww I am in devakshi land now!) Ishwari had commented that Dev's face is glowing again. Perhaps, something similar will happen. This time obviously, Sona will have reservations sending Soha to Ishwari niwas, just like last time Bijoy had reservations sending Sona to ishwari niwas

Yesterday I also thought when Ishwari said she saw the news on the TV, dev thought it was about the arrest. So, he still cares

I am sure Ishwari will do anything to get Soha in Dev's life so that she can get a chance to be part of Dev's life. She will definitely not let this opportunity go even if RR and Vickky say otherwise. She will hold on to it as though it is her lifeline.

Going by what Vickky plans to do, chances are that his plan will backfire harming Dev's company. At that time Dev and Vickky may have confrontation where Vickky will try to say it is not his fault and also he is not responsible to cover any of the loss using his assets. At that time Vickky may ask Dev and Ishwari to leave(as he mentioned all of it now belongs to him in front of maamaji) or Dev might throw him out and Ishwari does not stop him.(This is just my guess...😉 😆)

Cant figure that one yet.

@Krishis: I'm glad you decided to write something!

I love your idea of the 'ma' issue coming a full circle with Golu calling Sona ma. Nurture is more important than nature in these issues.

@Shaavi: I think your predictions are very plausible. The only thing that gives me pause is Ishwari's well-known stance on girl-children. Even her daughters were supposed to be "taken care of" until they were living in the house. But once they got married, I assumed she didn't consider them dependent. Soha will be entitled to Dev's wealth and what it entails in the present, no doubt, but what about in the future when she marries? I am asking from Ishwari's perspective, just to be clear.
