Thanks again for everyone's awesome contributions. I will add some generic comments and thoughts
1. Golu and Soha have now eaten each other's lunch. i.e. been nurtured by each other's families.
2. Does Golu remind anyone of his saurabh mama? And Soha of her Riya bua?
3. Is Vicky's surname tripathi or did a shukla adopt him in the last 7 years? The text said shukla
4. Won't it be cool if BigCha prepares sandwiches for Golu and Soha starts relishing them just like her mother did?
For some reason, I am not so hassled by soha-mumma and golu-bigcha girls vs boys conversation yet. With the kids being in the same class the possibilities are now endless. I am letting the story form around the set-up that the story teller has chosen to use.
Ishwari - the trouble here is, she already did the jholi-failaoing in front of sona once. Got the toy that Dev wanted but eventually didn't like him wanting that toy. So, her solution this time cannot have Sona in it. She is trying to show her raja beta all the other toys he has in his nursery and trying to remind him how happy(!!) he was playing with those before Sona suddenly appeared and then rudely left him. Dev 2.0 is amazing that way. He is happy to co-exist in the same space as the jhula. His room is back to pre sona days, but he has made his office more orange. He doesn't wear Orange anymore. But doesn't wear greys, blues and blacks either. You see, he has become his own person who is not defined by anyone's standards. And once you start living life by your own definition, you start defining your own happiness too. His mother's undue demands don't affect him and he is comfortably able to remind her of the prenup in so many words. This is a big learning curve for Ishwari who at one point in time wouldn't even let Dev bond with his sisters. There is hollowness in his expression but that is bound to be there because something inside him died - like one of you said, the guy who used to wear his heart on his sleeve now isn't as emotionally vulnerable as he was. If ishwari can stop defining Dev's happiness by her definition and be happy for him (she has already failed twice at this), she will see her Raja beta Dev right in front of her eyes. This suffocating-palokon-pe-resident-halwa-feeding love is what Dev is running away from. It already cost him the only thing he ever wished for.
The spanner in the works is going to be Soha. You see, if Dev has a bucket list - actual or virtual, fathering a tiny miny Bose-Dixit isn't an item in there. During the fake pregnancy he had everything covered but God had other plans and Mashi ma made an entry. I think similarly, Soha's appearance is going to topple all his plans. He is brooding over losing his first love. However, he also thinks its water under the bridge.
@Malika, I have been dreaming of Dev having his own bachelor pad. Wouldnt it be cool if him, Sona, Soha and Golu were to spend time together over there? We can always dream
@Sam, poetic justice indeed where Vicky has brought sona back in Dev's ecosystem just as Dev is wanting her as far away from him as possible.
