Krystle D’Souza is basking in the overwhelming response to her dance number “Shararat” from the Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar. The song has quickly struck a chord with audiences, drawing attention for its vibrant visuals and Krystle’s dynamic performance.
Speaking to Times of India, Krystle shared that the love pouring in has been truly heartening. “The feedback has been wonderful. My DMs are flooded with dance reels, covers, and screenshots of people’s favourite moments. When something you genuinely enjoy shooting also connects with the audience, it feels incredibly special. It reminds you why you do what you do,” she said.
She also expressed gratitude to filmmaker Aditya Dhar for trusting her with the number. “Having Aditya place his faith in me means a lot. Shararat allowed me to showcase a side of myself that audiences may not have seen before,” Krystle added.

They give you the space to act, emote, and truly perform, and I enjoyed exploring that. Every project teaches you something new, and this one added a fresh dimension to my journey. The visibility this song has given me is something I’m very grateful for. It feels like the beginning of something bigger,” she said.
Sharing screen space with Bigg Boss 17 fame Ayesha Khan proved to be an energising and collaborative experience rather than a competitive one. “Ayesha and I were aligned from the start. We respected each other’s space and supported one another whenever needed. When both performers are confident, sharing the spotlight only enhances the performance,” Krystle explained.
She further added that she has always been comfortable sharing the limelight. “There is space for everyone to shine. When you focus on your own performance, comparisons naturally fade away. I’ve never viewed another actress on set as competition, especially in a creative space like a song.”

Highlighting how dance numbers have evolved, Krystle noted that they now offer performers a meaningful platform to showcase their artistry. “The way songs are shot today—with strong concepts, styling, choreography, and storytelling—is very different. It’s about creating a mood, not just looking glamorous. Dancers and performers are respected far more now, which makes doing such songs even more fulfilling. I’ve always loved dancing, and it’s exciting to see this space evolve.”
While she admitted that sharing the frame with Ranveer Singh would have been thrilling, Krystle said she is content with how Shararat stands on its own. “Ranveer’s energy is unmatched, and it would have been electric to share the screen with him. I often imagine how the vibe would have shifted. That said, Shararat has its own identity, and I loved owning that space,” she signed off.
