Ah ha! Great Catch Sabita. I think he used Farak nahi padta the other day when Ishwari brought up the topic of sonakshi having potentially moved on as well.

Geena, you are right. Ishwari probably knows that is the only evidence of life left in her son. With every episode he seems to be less and less endearing and more irritated by Ishwari. Almost as if sonakshi's presence has stirred that discomfort in him

@DQ: I hadn't thought about the signifcance of the pooja until you mentioned it. I guess in a way Sona is subletting the office to Dev's biggest rival, one Mr. God himself! It will be very interesting to see Dev's confrontation with his oldest adversary who has somehow found a way to invade Dev's safest and most controlled space.

@Geena: I think you are right about Ishwari using Sona to get a rise of out Dev. She can see that he has built himself back up from nothing as Dev 2.0, a version of himself that doesn't give Ishwari a significant role. It's almost like she wants to raze 2.0 to the ground so that she can have a do-over and ensure that she isn't cast aside. That is why she keeps bringing Sona up in ways that are deliberately meant to instigate Dev's feelings of abandonment and anger. Thankfully, Dev 2.0, if not immune, is at least aware of what she is trying to do, and is holding fast to the new, content self he has painstakingly constructed.

@Sabita: Good catch with echoes of "farak padta hai." Ishwari was happily imagining Sona as someone else's daughter-in-law, while Dev is imagining her very much a part of his world. It seems to highlight the divergence of their happiness at the crossroads of Sonakshi Bose. Ishwari later lied that it didn't make a difference to her whether Sona was her DIL or someone else's, which was a lie because clearly she was happier thinking of her as someone else's, and now Dev is insisting that it doesn't make a difference to him if she is in his office or not... again a lie. Just thinking out loud; not sure if there is a point to be made with this. 😆

Geena I like this !!😆 I was thinking about these lines ever since Dev had that smirk on hearing Sona's name nominated for the award 😉 but keeping mum to see how originally the serial play out. Even today when Ishwari blamed Sona, he was quick to respond with "No she bought with market price" (Did I sense a pride in there?). And when she was aghast how rich Sona has become, I guess he was mocking Ishwari indirectly that all start ups crash down one day including "their own"? Ofcourse the great "ishwari enterprises" too started as start up once😉.

In season 2 its very clear that Dev is keeping tabs about Sona's insults by GKB or Ishwari, "Pill comment" and " I fulfilled your responsibility " are the hints?! I saw a sense of satisfaction on his face when Sona entered that new office - is it because finally the place went to the rightful owner?! Is he trying to keep Sona nearer to show her how independent he has become and takes his own decisions after she left, because he very well know money can't buy Sona so whats the need for that 30% extra cheque?

It may or may not be like we envision but these mysteries are making season 2 a compelling watch !!👏

DQ, I loved that idea of leaving to office to Dev's arch nemesis to trouble him and Sona to work in peace..but do you think any nemesis can withstand Dev's shrewdness other than Sona? because believe it or not , its not Ishwari who is his weak point..its always Sona !!

Deeps.. I think Dev wants Sona to see the new Dev.. a decision maker... not a Mama's boy and a tough boss to Vicky! This is going to be fun.. Dev will see Sona at work! They both will retract their comments (words) on each other!!

I watched yesterday's episode and had a slightly different take on Dev's outburst on Vicky telling them about Sonakshi being the buyer.

Dev didn't mention who bought the property till Vicky asked him. and then he told the bhakt to give GKB a pill.

More than anger and disappointment, I thought he was trying to rub it in that Sonakshi was able to afford. I thought he actually enjoyed passing out this information.

He really didn't reveal anything until Vicky specifically asked him . He seemed more disturbed by Vicky's fraud and the money transfer issue.

Another thing when Ishwari tried to belittle Sona, he stood up, distancing himself again from Ishwari literally and figuratively. He supported Sona and when Ishwari wondered how she was able to afford the place. I saw a genuine concern. The same he had when she took a loan against her house.

I think Dev was only wondering if in her ego i.e. she found out the property was available so she arranged money and how she did it was a puzzle to him.

Yesterday's episode was full on action and Dev Dixit indeed was a power house !!!

Dev letting Vicky know that he has just been a puppet a brainless one at that , this new Dev talks he does not hide under the curtains of "its family "

no he told Vicky exactly what was needed and I indeed loved it

now coming to the scene where Dev lets everyone know that Ms Sonakshi Bose bought the part of the building I could see he just wanted them to know how capable she has become now that she too has money

but the moment Ishwari tries an ill talk Sona he stops it at that telling her that Sonakshi's company is a start up company and at first I really thought that either he is been envious that she has succeeded but then going back again from the award ceremony I realized he knows well that she has established herself in these seven years its no longer a start up company but his mother does not know this so to stop her talks he defends Sona by saying she bought the building at market price but she is a start up business , its his fight between him and Sonakshi and this time he needs no one's interference

At the office both Dev and Sona face to face and both daring each other

she still thinks him to be the old Dev and when she sees his dress code she thinks it to be childish but she has no idea this is now the real Dev the one that has broken free .

Dev thought has an attachment to the office building he is also grateful that it was sold to Sonakshi

and it seems having her around gives him some kind of adrenalin ,he likes it he feels he can live better knowing she is near him everyday

both are effecting each other while Dev shows his just all cool and don't care Sonakshi makes herself more stoned and concrete it almost seems as if they both fear at something so it best to play the daring game

On another note I went back and watched the episode where Dev comes back after the double date with Natasha, Sona and Neel and Easwari is folding his clothes he tells her not to bother about it and she says she wants to feel needed and does it because she cannot come to the office to help him

This tickled me because Sona tried to fit in the home and was edged out by Easwari now she is on Dev's office how will Easwari edge her out from there ..the playing ground changed😉

Absolutely loved Shaavi's take on Ishwari's dev vs Sona's Dev alongside her take on the first few episodes and the baggage. I revel in such analyses

yes Sabita. I recall that. I also noted that His office is one place Ishwari doesnt go to and unfortunately still Ishwari caused him damage there (which might turn out to be a blessing in disguise)

Firstly I loved yesterday's episode. And I am loving the new dev 2. 0. In yesterday's episode many of our wishes come to try

Especially related to mami and vikki. And I like the there was the slient slaps for the ishu and still she decide the ingoner them. There is no inpreovemnt in ishu that can irrereate us. But to expect any think from ishu is most stupide think. And I am having the reasion from it

Firstly ishu never able to understand dev. She always loved the the bubble in the word there she want to tell herself that she is correct. And at this point she is confidence that what erver has happened was correct. Actually she was ok for dev and sons's marriage because she was have a fear that if this doesnot happened there will be losse in business by which it was his most fear. She want dev should be must with her beccause the dev is whith her his frutur is secure . she will be mother of dev disixt . which provides her security. After 7 years also there is no change in the fact that dev is still provider. Like last time there is no change in that dev is sending his displeager openly but he has not quit his responsibilities . there is only one situation when ishu can change if when he will quit his resonsiblies and the same logic appies for sona. That's why bijoy and ash not able to understand sona besause sona if also fullfiling her responsibilities as it is.

yes thank you so much for posting Shaavi's write up

Ishwari is simply scared knowing Dev and Sonakshi in one building she knows its a matter of time before they start talking civil to one another
