I managed to take some time out to read some posts here and they are wonderful. Different views and thoughts put across so well. Kudos for that. 👏 I was wondering if a weekly thread needs to be opened for viewers (every week separately) to have more fruitful discussions. Just sharing a thought.
Carry on forrumites.

I have seen your posts in Deeps thread. I really liked the way you write.I skipped few scenes during the infertility track. I could be wrong. But as far as I remember Ishwari always said "Kuch bhi ho ladka or Ladki". She never stressed that Dev and Sonakshi should have a baby boy.Only one time, Dev told her in the temple that Sona will undergo treatment and will give her a baby boy. Dev always wanted a girl, not sure why he said that. I will blame the screen writer here.I always thought, infertility track was never about baby's gender, but about DevaKshi having a baby.@Sam - This is a great thread...Good to read all comments.
I am thoroughly enjoying all the amazing writing on this thread as I sip my morning coffee. ⭐️
@Shaavi: I completely agree on the role reversals, and I think that will form the crux of the story. With the concealment of Soha, which isn't one hundred percent right from the perspective of "no lies," Sona and the Boses are in a similar position as Dev and the Dixits were pre-leap. So I hope to see some introspection from them, a sort of understanding that you can't really pass judgment over people without understanding the motivations for their actions. It challenges their assertion that truth is always paramount, and I am interested to see their reaction to that shift.
I am so enjoying the prediction process too, especially since I have no idea what direction this is going in overall.
@DQ: It's an absolute tragedy that Ishwari lost her family over an amount that was so inconsequential to Dev's actual net worth. That touches on the theme of parents not trusting their children to do what is right. Ishwari worked hard and instilled all of her core values into Dev, but she didn't trust herself or him to carry them out on a day to day basis. I think has to do with the transition between having small and adult children... parents don't always know how to let go and allow their child to be independent because they feel it will compromise their place in the child's life.
@preethi: Yet again, I am not saying that Sona's actions in hiding Suhana's existence are unjustifiable, but they cannot be defended from the position, "all lies are wrong," which is the position the Boses used to stand by vociferously. I am just intrigued to see how it changes their attitude now that they cannot make that claim without being hypocritical.
@Deepa: Thank you so much for bringing this up! It is a bit unfair to compare Sona and Ishwari on an equal plane, because their experiences, and the tools they had to deal with single-motherhood, were so vastly different. You have put it so brilliantly, and I just want to add one more layer. Sona also had the knowledge in the back of her mind that Suhana's father was very much alive and able to provide for her. Had she really found herself in dire straits, which thankfully she didn't, she could have contacted Dev and demanded that he help financially. It would have torn her apart to send Suhana away, but I believe she would have done it for her child's good if it had come to that. Ishwari did not have even that option; her husband was very much gone, and he left her with absolutely nothing. Like you said, Mamaji was the only solace and even he was reigned in by his wife to a great extent.
I have a dream that one day this thread becomes as chilled out as the new Dev, and we no longer feel compelled to put disclaimers on our posts!
@Payal: I don't know if I agree that his way of closing the company and laying off the employees was callous. He gave them two months bonus, and said that he would take care of the losses personally. As far as I remember, this is how business-Dev has always been. He doesn't mince words, but he makes sure his employees are well taken care of.
@supercool: Huh, I like the idea of poetically linking Sona's infertility with Ishwari's toxicity. It works on so many levels, because Dev knew about ishwari's disapproval of Sona before marriage, but he chose to conceal it from her to make sure the marriage went smoothly. Obviously in this universe, creating a child is the ultimate symbol of union (*eyeroll*), and Sona and Dev could not do that until they were outside of Ishwari's clutches. Soha's conception didn't happen when Dev and Sona were making love as the two goody-two-shoes they are, but happened when they abandoned the pretense and bared their unsavoury thoughts to one another. Soha was born out of the kind of honesty that completely disempowered Ishwari.
Now I don't know if I made sense, but does that have something to do with what you were saying?
@Timbarucha and Deepa: Love this discussion! I too think that Dev and Sona's relationship will evolve gradually from friendship to love once again. That friendship will begin from a mature decision about co-parenting Suhana. At least, this is my hope.
You know, over the weekend, I was so hoping Suhana was adopted. It would have given seriousness to the infertility track, and showed that Sona didn't need Dev or Ishwari to become a wonderful mother.
Loving this thread, peeps! Lagey rah 😃
