Hi there!
I had my eye on this FF since you started writing but exams made me wait. I finally read all 9 chapters in one go & to say that this is amazing would be an understatement.
You write so beautifully, it's almost like watching a movie. You gave a really nice touch to the cliche memory loss track. I like the fact that you didn't try to portray it as something melodramatic and over the top but took it slow and made it look real. Kudos to you for that!

Now this is going to be a very detailed comment but what the hell, I liked it too much to let go without expressing what I felt through the story.

I really liked the initial chapters where Dev is shocked to know about Sona's amnesia but handles it like a mature person and doesn't leave her side, that was something I was expecting from Dev in the show.

Secondly, I like how Ishwari finally took hold of her emotions and decided to take this opportunity to set things right with Sona. It was slow but eventually she realized, that's enough for me. And the fact that you kept it real, not pushing her character to the point of being an uber sweet MIL who force feeds her daughter in-law and giggles with her makes it perfect.

Thirdly, I liked how Sona rediscovered her relationship with with each memory. It was like falling in love with him again, rebuilding their relationship, starting afresh just like Dev wanted. I'm glad you didn't make it look like it was an obligation for her to fall for him again, she had her doubts but eventually she fell for him. Very natural. Also, her finding out the baby was heart wrenching but at the same time, the fact that she didn't acknowledge Dev's pain was a little disturbing but you made up for that so no complains :)

Lastly, Dev! This is the Dev I want in the show. A man who can fulfill his promises, stand by his words. Yes he ignored the obvious tension between Sona and his mom but in the end, he's also a human, he can't solve all the problems but he can at least try. The way he handled Sonakshi after the accident, after the miscarriage and after she remembers about their baby, all emotions on point. Very beautifully penned. I'm glad that he told her about his resentment and how he felt when she made him feel incapable of being a father. That must have hurt so much. Poor baby but thankfully he talked to her about it, that is important.

Okay I'm done 😆

Please write more,

P.S.- Won't say no to an epilogue :P

Malvikaa the first lines of your post itself made me sentimental that this is going to be the last part
You know right that you are a gifted writer⭐️ Its not at all easy to make the readers feel the emotions so easily like you do. ❤️Every line and every word in your chapter has its own importance.

Coming to the last chapter, it was damn emotional. When Sonakshi bid goodbye to Ish, my heart came to my mouth. Thankfully she wanted a break just for few days.

The Dev-Sona conversation was so so beautiful, heartwarming and emotional as well. I loved how Sonakshi made him take the load off his heart. He took out the resentment of the whole year and it was much much needed. He did not get even one fair chance while Sona could always take out her frustration on him. My heart goes out to Dev more in this chapter😊 You deserve to be a father..This was required to assure him after he lost the faith in himself. Their conversation made me cry.. honestly. Finally they swam together and survived❤️

And the last para made me smile and laugh😃 Loved how you connected the end with the beginning of the story👏 And I am still not over the chapter, heart is still full of emotions.

Thank you for giving us this amazing story dear. It was a masterpiece⭐️ and will always be in my favorite list❤️

And puchnewali baat hai..we want an epilogue dear😳

Malvika - take a bow! You have weaved in the pain, the loss - of the baby and of the person you love, blame - towards yourself & towards the same person you love, the internal struggle and then waking up enough to your partner's struggle, and then finally remembering that all that matters is how much you love this very person...

I was misty eyed and smiled at the same time. You have captured the emotions so beautifully and with the backdrop of so many missed opportunities in the show, I felt glad seeing these 2 the way we all expected and sad at what they are made to do in the show...

Loved the fact that Ishwari understood why Sona blocked Dev in her pain... because she found a reason/an outlet for the anger/disappointment that was pushed down within her from all the times Dev didn't stand up for her during Ishwari's insecurities... This is the Ishwari that is so relatable - human but aware.

Absolutely loved how the memory loss gave them a second chance but nothing was just shoved under the carpet... it came back to all in bits & pieces and gave everyone a much needed second chance to redo their reactions, acknowledge the pain, let go and finally breathe again...

I have been on the road last 2 days and conferences kept me busy. Have not seen the episodes this week but the first chance I got, I clicked on your story... I have said this before - your writing is visual but the way you capture emotions is so natural. From start to this lovely end, you kept all 3 in character and the reactions, reasons and relationships are fitting to how the characters progressed till about 70 episodes of the show...

Would love an epilogue but better still would be another take on the Dev-Sona story... BUT the day you decide to write professionally, I expect a PM 😊

Much power to you ...!
