Chapter 6:

Elina was waiting for Sonakshi. She usually was always home on time but today that was not the case. She kept on calling her but Sonakshi Bose was not in mood of picking up her phone. She was sitting in the park, calming herself down.Her ankle still hurt. Very few people in this planet could make her this angry and Dev topped that list. She remembered the day when he had admitted that he loved her for the first time.

"Dev, I will not be able to meet you today. Have tons of work...i have to even submit my project on Monday na" Informed Sona.

"Sona...you have been avoiding me for the past few days. Mujhe tumse aaj milna hai bas. " Dev replied

"Understand naa please...Monday ko milte hain"She tried.

"Sona No!! That day also you will leave early I am sure" Dev replied obstinately.

"I also want to meet you Dev. You think I like staying away from you" Sona said sadly.

Her tone softened Dev.

"Can I come to your home then? I will not disturb you I promise" He requested.

"But no one is home. Won't you get bored?" She asked.

"I can never be bored when you are right infront of me Sona "Dev said romantically.

"Listen...mat aao fir...pakka you will make me nervous and I will lose my concentration. Nowdays the way you stare at me, do you know how awkward that makes me?" Complained Sona.

Dev laughed out loud.

"Open the door. I am outside"He said.

"Hey bhagwan"

Dev smiled at seeing flustered Sona. To relax her, he offered to help her with her assignments and with his help she managed to finish most of her stuff before time.

"Wow, thank you Dev...without your help I am sure I would have not managed it on time" She said excitedly.

"Bas thank you se kaam nahi chalega."

"Oh my Dev Babu...I am very happy today...aaj tum jo maango tumhe milega"

Dev looked at her quietly ,"Are you sure?".

"Arey you doubt me?"

"Then make me a cup of Coffee"

Sona was stumped. She hated kitchen work and she sure did not knew how to make coffee.

"Not fair Dev.. Kuch aur nahi maang sakte?" She said irritatedly

"Tumne hi kaha ki jo maango milega...and itni choti si cheez nahi kar sakti tum mere liye?" Dev made sad face.

Sonakshi just looked at him and left for the kitchen . Within five minutes Dev heard her scream and rushed to the kitchen.

"What happened Sona? Are you all right?" Dev asked worriedly.

"No Mr. Dixit, the pan full of hot water slipped on my hand. Are you happy now? You have known me all my life yet you ask me to make coffee. I hate you. Just because I cannot say no to you,you think you can demand anything you like. Go away now. You wanted the coffee and I will get you the coffee ." She sobbed.

"Sona I was just teasing you. Show me your hand now"

"No! just leave me alone...I am working here"

"Shhh...give me your hand"

"NO!"

Dev knew how obstinate Sona can be. There was no point asking her nicely now. He just went to her ,grabbed her hand ,ignoring her resistance dragged her to the sink.

The cold water did sooth her pain. Her temper also cooled down a bit. She tried freeing her hand but Dev did not leave her.

"Sach main you cannot say no to me Sona?" He asked her lovingly.

There was something about the gentleness with which he asked her and the way he had held her hand that made Sona cry all over again.

"Arey, is it paining even now? " Dev asked worriedly." Lets go to the doctor.I was pulling your leg but knowing how accident prone you are, I must not have left you in the kitchen all by yourself.ok..now don't cry please. Uncle Aunty aa gaye to mujhe daant lagegi." He requested wiping her tears.

"No..I am fine, Dev...I don't know what is happening to me. I knew you were joking and yet I screamed at you. You have always been nice to me..." She could not finish her sentence.

Dev held her by her waist,pulled her closer to him .This was enough to shut her up.

He stared at her eyes for sometime." I need to tell you something today"

Sonakshi was not a fool. She knew what was coming next.."Please don't"

"Do you know what is in my mind Sona?"

"Leave me Dev"

"No..not today". Dev was firm.

"Dev...my parents will be back any mom..."

"Shhh...the main door is locked. And there is no one to disturb us. So, I have to tell you something and I have a feeling you know exactly what is in my mind. That's why you have been avoiding me since past few days..Am I right?" Dev asked.

Sona refused to look at him.

"I am not leaving you till you look at me and listen to me. And believe me I have enough time in my hand. Let your parents come back ..unke saamne hi baat karni paregi it seems"

She had to look at him now. They both had very different personality, but both were equally obstinate.

Dev smiled."Relax...ab tumse kuch karana ho to dhamki deni par jaati hai...kitni zidddi ho tum Sona".

"Leave me...bahut maza aa raha hai tumhe naa and stop smiling!!!!"Sona struggled but then Dev was much stronger than her.

"Meri smile se tumhe kya problem ab...I thought you are in love with my smile."

"No way..why will I love anything about you".She answered angriliy.

"But I love you...and everything about you" He said earnestly, tucking the strand of hair behind her ears, knowing very well that her answer will be yes.

Sona could not help smile at the memories. Seeing Dev after this many years was shocking for her. What scared her the most was the realisation that she could still fall for him all over again. The guy knows her too well. But there was something wrong. Why was he so angry at her? It was something much more deep than that presentation or shock of seeing her after this long.

"Elina, I will be home late. Don't worry about the dinner. I have my keys with me so you can go to sleep" She informed Elina.

"Ok Sona..You remember na I am going to India tomorrow morning for the summer vacation? Are you sure you want to stay alone?My friend can come over and stay with you if you want when I am gone".

"I will be fine Eli...jaane se pehle milkar jana.Wake me up before you leave ok?" She said disconnecting the call. A text message came just then from an unknown number. She clicked it open.

" Your ideas did lack practicality..i did not refuse it out of personal reason. As for the rest ..I should have been calm. You were right to be angry.

Dev could not sleep as well. Bose were rich family. Paying the money was not a big deal for Sonakshi. But he knew very well that she would never ask the amount from her parents. Her sense of self respect was too strong.

Suddenly his phone started to ring. Sona calling!!!! Woah!

"Hello, Mr. Dixit, this is to inform you that I am not quitting. Its not in my nature to leave my job in mid way. But I have a condition. Will let you know tomorrow. Saving your number. Goodnight!" She rambled on without letting him speak. Dev stared at his phone after she disconnected.

Hmmm...Interesting...!!!!

Past was so beautiful ND cute nd the way dev confessed his feelings was so cute nd simple ..nd he was sure abt sona 's feelings too. And still today he has feeling for her ND his mssg clarified it he was so sorry for his behaviour...loved it ...both r in pain nd what transpired in btw both of them to get separated is to b known .loved the update ,thnk u for early update nd continue vry soon 😊
