Hey everyone, I am sorry, my mother was hospitalized so was not active on the forum but I am back now and will update this FF today or tomorrow <3 Thank you and love you for all your kind and loved words. This means truly a lot to me. My deshian family please keep my mother in your prayers.

Chapter 3

Preet stopped the car in front of the Maan house. 'Do you know where to park here?', Preet asked looking at Meher. 'Umm just take the car on the side of the front yard, that will do', replied Meher smiling while getting out of the car. 'Where are you going leaving me here?!', asked Preet a bit surprised. 'To give the news of your arrival to everyone, join us soon inside', answered a very excited Meher before running inside the house.

'Maa, Chachu, Heer didi, Chachi, where are you all? Come out!', screamed Meher at the top of her lungs. To her quick response, Balwant came out to the living room.

Balwant: What happened Meher beta? You sound extremely happy! *Smiling*
Meher: Chachu chachu, Prem jeeju has come! Jeeju has come.

Meher span Balwant around in happiness.

Balwant: Really? Where is he?! Did you see him outside?
Meher: I brought him here with me Chachu, he asked for the route to the Maan house. He is parking outside, soon will be here.
Balwant: Oh great! Go and tell the ladies, till then let me handle him okay? *Patting Meher's head*

'Yes chachu', replied Meher smiling before going upstairs.

After Meher left, Balwant was about to go outside when he saw a fine young man entering inside. He gave him a big smile and walked towards him to give a hug. 'Prem puttar, bohot khushi huyi tumhe dekhke' ('Prem, my son I am so happy to see you') , said a very happy Balwant while hugging Preet. Breaking the hug Preet chuckled a bit. 'Now it explains all the love and respect on the way', said Preet.

Balwant: What are you talking about beta?! I don't get it. *Confused*
Preet: Haha nothing much chachaji, I think your daughter or niece took me as her brother-in-law right?
Balwant: You are not Prem?! *Surprised*
Preet: Na ha, I am Preet, Preet Juneja. Younger brother of PB I mean Prem bhaiya. I know you weren't expecting me but what to do this nalayaak (useless) had to come on behalf of bhaiya as he is on a business tour for two days.
Balwant: Areh no beta, this is great that at least you came. Will Prem also be co...

Before Balwant could finish his words, Teji and Daaljeet came to the scene with Meher to welcome their would be son-in-law.

Daaljeet: Prem beta, welcome! Welcome to Ambala! I hope you will like it here. I am Daljeet, Daaljeet Balwant Maan.
Teji: I am so glad you reached here safely. I hope you did not face any problem on the road beta. *Patting Preet's cheek*

Preet smiled at the ladies and then looked at Meher. 'No chachiji I did not have any problem at all', replied Preet while looking back to Teji and then again to Meher. Understanding what Preet was indicating, Meher gave a weak smile to Preet. 'Jeeju, come sit, relax. Didi will be here anytime', said Meher dragging Preet towards the sofa.

Preet: Chachaji, will please you explain before I get hanged to death?
Balwant: Haha yes beta. Thats not Prem, thats Preet, Prem's younger brother. Prem had a business deal to handle so he is on a tour for that.
Preet: And yes he will be coming after two days to Ambala to see Heer bhabi. Till then, I am your guest sadly. Maa Bauji has sent me on behalf o him.
Teji: Areh no beta, its great that praji and Gayatri did that. We are more than happy to have you here.
Daaljeet: Yeah after all we would like to know all the Juneja boys, I mean Prem's brothers. He he. *Awkward smile realizing what she said at first*

Meher looked at Preet and then let go of his hand making an irritated face at him. Preet laughed a little on this. Teji was about to say something to Preet when she noticed Heer was coming downstairs.

Teji: Heer beta, ye dekh tera hone wala Devar aya hain. (Heer my kid, look your would be brother-in-law has come)
Heer: Yes I heard from the staircase maa. *Looking at Preet*
Preet: Bhabi you are gorgeous! Prem bhaiya will go nuts for sure. *Offering hand for a handshake*
Heer blushed on Preet's words and said thank you to him while shaking her hands with him.
Balwant: Preet beta, why don't you freshen up, you must be hungry right? Let me show your room.
Teji: Yes, I will get the lunch served.
Preet: That will be great chachiji, I am dying with hunger.

Teji, Heer and Balwant laughed naturally on Preet words while Daaljeet tried to over do the laughing while ruffling Preet's hair. Meher just stood there making an irritated face again.

At the Kitchen

Teji: Daaljeet, look is this portion of Palak Paneer okay for everyone, what do you say?
Daaljeet: Parjaiji, whatever portion we serve for lunch but we will have to keep feeding this rich boys for three more days. I don't know how much will that cost.
Balwant: Daaljeet!! What are you even talking about? They are our would be in laws and Lalit bhai shahb is our family friend, we will do our best.
Daaljeet: I know that but whatever it is, we are not rich as them, we can not spend so much on just one daughter.
Teji: I have some of my fixed deposits for Heer and Meher, I think its time to break them, you don't worry Daaljeet. *Looking tensed and awkward*
Balwant: Nehi parjaiji, we live at your house and all the property and farming of praji are also handled by me. Where would have we gone by now otherwise? I won't let anything to be less on Heer's marriage.
Daaljeet: Yeah thats true but then again we have two daughters more, I was just talking about that. Anyway, parjaiji is this bowl okay for the daal?

Dining Room

Everyone was waiting for Preet. Balwant was sitting on the table while all the ladies were checking if everything is okay. After a while Preet came to the dining room and much to their surprise Preet had gift boxes in his hands.

Daaljeet: Preet beta, are those gift boxes? *Sounding over excited*
Balwant glared at Daaljeet and then looked at Preet.
Balwant: What are these for beta?
Preet: Oh chachaji, maa wanted to send you all some gifts. I thought to give them to you before I forget about them.
Teji: Thats really sweet of Gayatri. But there was no need for all these.
Preet: Of course there was. After all, we are all family and celebrating such an occasion with family is a must right?
Teji: Haan accha accha beta. (Yes, okay okay beta) *Smiles*

'Okay so this for chachaji, this is for you for Daaljeet chachi. This one reads Teji, hmm I think it is of course you chachiji, so this is for my Teji chachi', said Preet while handling all the gifts to all the right persons. 'Thank you betaji', replied Teji. 'Hmm, well this reads Ashlesha, I guess its you then?', asked Preet looking at Meher. But before Meher could reply, Daljeet spoke up.

Daaljeet: No no no, thats not Ashlesha. Ashlesha to meri sundar, shushil ladki hain (Ashlesha is my beautiful, well mannered daughter). She has gone to Amritsar for her friend's wedding but will be back in one week. You will get to meet her soon in future Preet beta. She is such a nice girl I tell you.
Preet: Oh okay. Hope we meet soon then. But for now would you like to keep her gift on her behalf chachi?
Meher: I can take Ash's one. After all, we share the room and she is my best friend too. *Meher said taking the gift from Preet happily*
Daaljeet: Yeah they just share the room nothing else. They both are so nowhere alike.
Heer: Yeah but they both are more like soulmate sisters. And I am their proud elder sister.

Completing her words Heer looked at Meher and Meher smiled at her.

Preet: So sweet of you Bhabi and here we go, so miss you are the Meher Maan I see. Here is the last gift of the night, to Meher Maan from Preet Juneja. *Offering Meher's gift to her*
Meher: Thank you. *Taking the gift from Preet while making a mocking smile face*

'Now, everyone lets sit for lunch', Teji said opening the lids of the dishes.

That Night

Heer and Meher were looking for Preet to give him dessert but he was nowhere to be seen. 'Ek number ka musibaat hain didi ye' (He is such a trouble number one didi, I tell you), said Meher while climbing through the stairs of the terrace. 'Meher, he is a such a nice person, why you are so irritated with him since the begining?', Heer asked rolling her eyes. 'Cause he teases me and irritates me', replied Meher making a grumpy face. Heer laughed on her sister's reply.

Meher: Now why are you laughing? See if he won't be on the terrace too, I am not going to go look for him anywhere else.
Heer: Okay okay, but I dont think that will be needed, look. *Pointing at Preet standing on the terrace*
Meher: Wow, so letting all of us sink in tension, Mr. Juneja is enjoying the night view.

Preet looked behind hearing Meher's mocking remark about him.

Preet: Hey sorry actually I was not getting signal inside and I had to talk to maa so I came up here.
Heer: Its okay Preet, we all thought so. Here you go, dessert for you.
Preet: Laddoo! Amazing! Did you make this bhabi?
Meher: Yes my sister did. She makes amazing Laddoos.
Preet: Great! Thank you bhabi, the dinner dishes you cooked were amazing as well.

'Heer beta, Preet mil gaya kiya? Niche ayogi thoda tum?' (Heer my kid, did you find Preet? Can you come downstairs for a bit?), Teji's voiced was heard from downstairs.

Heer: Preet be here with Meher, I will be back in minutes.
Preet: Yeah sure bhabi.
Heer smiled and went downstairs. Preet then looked at Meher and offered her a Laddoo.
Meher: No thanks. *Irrirated voice*
Preet: Hey, why are you so angry on me golgol?
Meher: What did you call me?! *Yelling*
Preet: Well cutie golgol I meant. *Teasing*

'Uff Musibat kahika' (Such a trouble), said Meher angrily before going downstairs. Preet laughed at that scene and took a bite of Laddoo.

Really like this update. It seemed like Dj was trying to fix Preet with Ash.

I am hoping to see more Meet scene in next update.

Thats a fantastic update nikhad !! Hahah i enjoyed meher and preet's scenes how meher is getting irritated by preet too funny !! I thought that missunderstanding of preet as prem will b continued for some more time bt it ended up soon bt thats okkay now meher and preet scenes will b exciting to read at waiting for next update and yeaahh my good wishes are always with aunty g nikhad !! She will b fine:) take care of her !!
