Chapter 1
Preet stopped the car in front of a posh beauty parlour only to find an angry Veera standing on the sidewalk. Preet opened the gate of the passenger seat from inside and Veera got in.
Preet: Umm, sorry Veera I forgot to pick you up. But going to the mall right now.
Veera: No need now. The movie has already started for last half an hour and even if you take me now, it will take another half an hour.
Preet: Is it?! *Checks his watch* Uhh, why couldn't your any friend pick you then or why didn't you call me?!
Veera: I did, can you check your phone please if that is alive? And my friends already went there cause you were supposed to drop me. *Looks away angrily*
Preet: *Checks his phone* Oh hehe, my battery died you know. *Embarrassed voice* But wait, you could have called at home, there are two more cars.
Veera: There are none at the home right now.
Preet: Those aren't?! Well that explains everything now.
Veera: Explains what?
Preet: I actually went home forgetting to pick you up and found no one there. Then when I remembered about you, I rushed so couldn't check the cars.
Veera: Ugh Preet bhaiya! *Hits his arm* Maa bauji have gone to see the girl whom they want to be Prem bhaiya's wife.
Preet: What?! Ambala?! Maa bauji have gone to Ambala?! But it was supposed to be next week.
Veera: Yeah but suddenly a business deal came up and the meeting was somewhere near Ambala so they decided to visit the girl today itself.
Preet: Oh so everyone is in Ambala now. I get it.
Veera: No you didn't. Prem bhaiya and Herman bhaiya are at office for some work which was needed to be checked before Bauji signs the deal.
Preet: What?! Are you even serious?! Its PB's marriage and he did not go to see the girl?! *Rolls his eyes*
Veera: No, maa told me over phone that bhaiya said whoever maa bauji choose will be his choice.
Preet: Uff! I will never understand PB! *Hits his hand on his thigh*
Veera: And I will never understand you! Only if bauji would have allowed me go to places alone before my 18, I would have taken a taxi. *Irritated voice*
'Is my best friend and little pumpkin still angry on me?', asked Preet in an affectionate tone. Veera looked outside the window making a grumpy face. Preet laughed at his sister's antics and nudged her with his elbow. 'Okay okay, look at me, I will take you to this movie on this weekend okay?', asked Preet making a dramatic sad voice. Veera did not answer at first but when Preet kept asking her like that, she finally laughed and agreed. Seeing Veera laugh, Preet laughed out too.

Reaching home, Preet and Veera found their other two brothers sitting in the living room. Seeing Prem, Preet ran to him.
Preet: PB what is this?! How can you do this?!
Prem: *Looking at Preet surprisingly* Do what?!
Preet: How can you not go to see the girl you may marry?!
Prem: I guessed you were asking about this. Look Preet, maa bauji have always wanted good for us, they wanted to take me with them too but it was important for me to go the office than going to see the girl. I trust our parents with blind eyes.
Preet: I get it about the trust but still you know?
Herman: I told bhaiya that I could handle but he didn't listen.
Prem: Herman, I know you could but in that short period of time you may needed help.
Veera: Okay okay, brothers I have an idea. Why don't we look up for her on social medias?
Preet: Great idea pumpkin! What is her name again?
'Heer, Heer Maan. And you all don't need to look up for her on social media cause Prem is going to visit her tomorrow', said a voice coming from behind. The Juneja kids looked behind to find their parents walking up to them.
Prem: Maa, tomorrow?!
Gayatri: Yes Prem beta, you are going Ambala tomorrow to see the girl and finalize.
Lalit: We both loved Heer. Only I wish my late friend was alive and we could have met him too. But before anything, your maa and I want you too see her for once too.

Why don't you go to Ambala tomorrow Preet? In this way someone from us will be shown up there and Prem can join you after two days once he is back from Delhi', said Gayatri with hopeful eyes. 'Excellent idea Gayatri! This nalayaak (Useless) has nothing to do with his life anyway', replied Lalit to Gayatri's proposal.
Preet: Me?! Why Me?! I mean only me?! I don't even know anyone.
Gayatri: If you don't you will beta. Moreover, they know you. At least the elders. You have grown up in Ambala till you were 2.
Preet: Maa, I don't think I look the same now nor my nature is same.

It was almost midnight and Preet was packing his bag for Ambala when Gayatri came to his room.
Preet: Areh Maa! Always on right time. I was about to call you, need your help with packing as usual.
Gayatri: I knew it. Kulraaj is not home so of course its only me here to help you. Anyway, take these gifts with you too.
Preet: So many gifts?! For whom are they?
Gayatri: For the Maan family. It will be good if we send them some gifts. We went there only with sweets today as we did not have time.
Preet: But maa, the wedding is yet not fixed, then all these?!
Gayatri: I know Preet but before anything they are your bauji's friend's family. We met them after so many years, I think it would be nice to gift them something.
Preet: Ah okay, I get it. One thing I don't that when did you do all these shopping?! *Rolls his eyes*

'Badmash (Naughty)', said Gayatri hitting Preet's arm and started packing his clothes and other stuffs along with the gifts. Packing was almost done, when Lalit called out for Gayatri. 'I have to go Preet, put this tee shirt of yours in and the last gift too. Will meet you in the morning okay?', said Gayatri patting Preet's cheek. 'Ji (Yes) maa', replied Preet smiling. After Gayatri left, Preet put his tee shirt first and then when he was about to put the gift in, he noticed the name on it. 'Meher? I wonder who that is!' , said Preet while placing the gift in his bag.
