Yes! I hate you! I do! Par... Pata nahi kyun tumse main... Door nahi reh pata..."
His loss of words again returned today to retell the story of his heart's dilemma. His fidgeting hands again returned today to recount for the ongoing war which was brawling inside him. His emotions-packed face was seen yet again today to unfold some of the truths he was unaware of himself. He looked at her, then looked away. He reached out for her, then pulled away. He shouted at her, then softened away. "I can't live with you. No!" Just how hard he was trying to convince himself with the use of these mere words that she was of no importance to him now. How difficult was the struggle to mask that pain-filled look which would reveal his true secrets to her if by chance he let the heart win over the mind even for a quick second. But as they say, whatever is bound to happen, will happen. And so his mask flew off. No longer could he conceal the truth of his heart, of his soul. His eyes which never failed to speak anything but the truth, voiced his truth again. They studied each inch of her face as if they hadn't seen her for years. His agonized eyes and bleeding heart found solace as they accepted, expressed and declared the most truthfu truth of his life; "But I can't live without you!"
If it was only in the hands of the heart, he would've cried and cradled her in his arms and whispered his truth to her in such a way that his voice's echo would remain in her blood, her heart, her mind, her soul for the forever number of years of their togetherness. But his mind still held a firm grip on him. He held her close to him, but with a fine line of railing between the two. He gifted her his heart's honesty, but within seconds, he challenged the notion of their reunion. It was already too late though. What Nandini's heart had been yearning to hear had finally come into revelation. Now there was no turning back. It was either a do or die situation. She knew life without him was one she couldn't imagine. She knew his absence would mean that there remains no other meaning to her life, her existence, her identity. She knew that if she lost him this time, she would lose herself in this world that was almost a stranger to her if he wasn't beside her. "So it means there's hope..." The sparkle in her eyes returned today. The sparkle which could light up his whole world. It was almost as if she has just learnt how to breathe again. The hope of eradicating all traces of pain from his heart was still existing. The hope of making him believe in love, in his Nandini, was still breathing. The hope of rescuing him from this never-ending darkness was still shining. The hope of motivating him to give into his heart and ignore the mind altogether was still alive. He tried his best to set that hope ablaze with his anger, aggression and so-called "hatred", but she knew he was hiding again. Hiding behind that mask which was full of tears, rips, breaks and holes. The tighter he tried to grab onto the mask, the more it tore and the easier it became for her to see right through him. Oh just how innocently my Manik tries to portray his anger again in order to convince her that there is a better chance of him not being able to live with her than without her. How hard he tries to struggle with his heart because he wants her to try and believe, he wants her to believe that he's capable of being a monster, he's capable of hating her, and he's capable of maintaining his distance.
It was exceptional to see how Nandini's confidence and willpower was once again restored after some quality talking time. No longer do they need the feel to say "let's take a break" because they are starting to understand the need of each other in order to share the inner-sentiments that are complicating the heart more and more. They are starting to understand that sharing pain doesn't necessarily increase pain, it halves the amount of pain rather. I feel as though, time after time, whenever Nandini feels her confidence levels to be shaking a little, Manik's unnoticed and rather impromptu entry always does the magic of restoring and strengthening that confidence. Quite ironic how he himself came as a ray of hope for her in order to talk to her about the hope of them being together.
For them it may seem to be the battle of Hope vs Hatred, but little do they know that neither is there room for any hatred in this relationship, nor is there room for any hope. Neither has he stopped loving her, in order to begin hating her nor has she lost her faith in him, in order to be depend on hope now. In fact his hatred is in actual the love that he realizes upon seeing her smile, it's the pain he feels when he sees her crying, it's the need he feels of her to be constantly around him. Similarly, her hope is in fact her promise of always shining for him. Her hope is in fact her blind faith in him of never hurting her and always protecting her. Her hope is in fact her lifelong allowance of only giving him the right to make her laugh, cry, angry, sad and all the other emotions that she's capable of experiencing.
Now moving onto Manan's training session towards the end of the episode. Oh how just how my Manik couldn't stand the idea of Nandini agreeing with Panditji over him. Yes it may be the start of a jealousy track which I was praying it shall not be incorporated, but I personally liked the scene because in moments like these, his frustration drives him to unknowingly listen to the heart.
"And I can't believe tum itni badi chamchi ho us pandit ki"
"Main panditji ki chamchi nahin hoon. It's just that he's right"
Oh if only Nandini had been facing him and seen the way he silently mocks her when she claims the panditji to be right, would she have realised just how irritated he gets on hearing her praise someone other than him. If only she would have noticed the way he annoyingly shakes his head and walks into the change room without letting her finish off her sentence, she would have realised how he can't even bear to have her thinking about someone else other than him.
The battle of his mind and heart didn't come to a halt till the very last scene of today's episode. His heart realised her need of an immediate drink, but his mind was in the mood to play games today. He claimed that he would cover up for her, protect her... like he always does. It's what my manik is known for. But the mind soon conspired and he no longer was in the mood to be "good". He wanted to pay her back for cutting his guitar's strap. He wanted to suppress the seed of confidence that he had himself implanted inside her. He wanted to interrupt the impression being formed by the panditji of Nandini being the traditional, hard-work, focused and mannered student. He wanted to be the reasons of her sorrow, of her pain, of her tears of her miseries...Because somewhere deep inside him his heart and mind both knew that she belonged only to him. He knew that she knew that only he has the right to make her happy, smile, laugh. But he wanted to make her realise that even if it's pain, only he's allowed to inflict in upon her.
For some reason, I also quite liked the scene of Mukti and Navya's bonding in today's episode. Maybe because it was showing the positive change in Mukti's character? The change of realizing the value of life, of love, of happiness? Or maybe it was the growing maturity and strength in Navya's character? Or maybe it was just the mutual understanding they have for each other despite their initial differences? Whatever it may be, I feel it was a rather pleasant scene to watch seeing those girls bond. Where once Mukti used to freely share all her thoughts with Aliya, she has seemed to find a similar companion and listener in Navya's friendship. Hence, she is able to slowly and maturely able to accept and understand Manan's relationship.
Okay so as usual, I got carried away with my emotions and again another essay has been posted. Sorry for having to read so much :P
Hope you guys all enjoyed the episode!
Stay smiling :)
Twinkle!
"What?" his whispers to himself, whilst his brother stood there accusing him, were only loud enough for him to hear. His tongue questioning his inner-voice as to where he failed. Where did he fail his brother, their brotherhood. His eyes looking around to search for the answers behind this anger, this sudden unleashing of bitter hatred. He tried to find the answers on his friend's face. Perhaps he would be his support one last time. Perhaps he would himself explain the unrevealed reasons of this loathing. Just one last time.
"Teri yeh help... tera yeh protection... mujhe suffocate kar raha hai". The words speared through his heart. The heart which had the strength to bear anything. After all the heart is the strongest muscle in the body. And Manik's heart. It was one of a kind. Pure, unselfish, selfless. It absolutely hated the worldly concept of a give and take relationship. And today, his brother had condemned him for the sin that his heart could never have even thought of doing. He was blamed for each and every one of those things that his heart never permitted him to do. He was being accused for taking away the peace, happiness, life and love from his brother's life. The heart which knew only how to shower, protect, fight and endlessly given to his loved ones... was today held guilty for taking away too.
"Aur haan... aisa nahi hai keh maina koshish nahi ki tere ehsaanon ko kum karne ke liye. I have covered up for you..." Another dagger speared through his bleeding heart. The concept of give and take was re-visited. He hated it because it was nyonika's favourite. A theory, an ideology, a perception that stole my Manik's innocent childhood before he had even begun to understand life. A continuously-arising speculation in the Malhtora household that dumped my manik's soul into a swamp of darkness. The evilest of all propositions that compelled my manik to seek companionship within emotions like anger, wrath and fury. It left him stunned, confounded, dejected. Was it always about give and take?
Blinded by his insecurities, deafened by his resentment, paralysed by his animosity; Dhruv ledged out every inch of hatred flowing within him for Manik. No words were left unsaid. No remarks were left unspoken. No accusations were left undeclared. From the smallest of his jealousies, to the biggest of his rancour; he wrapped his pinching words around the tip of his sarcastic arrows and shot them one after the other, to where it always hurts the most; the heart. And just when my Manik thought it was the last of his arrows, the rather unrecognisable figure spit out his final pain-filled, venomous words that left the mark of a cobra's bite on my Manik's heart. He might've said it to Aliya, but they became the reason for his tumbling world "Manik can have you!"
The End
He broke the pure bond of brotherhood. And walked away as if no Manik ever existed. Like no best friend ever protected him. As if no brother ever nurtured him. Whilst it is understandable he was unable to trust his first lady love; Aliya because of her own confused sense of mind, but one would question him that can you not see it was never Aliya for him. It was never Aliya he craved the love of. For Manik it was always Nandini. Then why such bitterness? Why so much hatred? Why such detestation? Upon his exit, another set of steps followed. She was in no terms to reason today. Drowned and routed in her own painful tears. Slipping away in her own heart-broken dilemmas. Too hurt to think straight. Too hurt to walk straight. Next, a pair of heels followed the path out those doors. She needed to settle it with him for the very last time. "I need to talk to Dhruv." Enough of playing games. Enough of the physical drama. Enough of lame comments. It was either now or never. For she may not see it, I still blame her yet again for breaking this pure bond of brotherhood. The last set of feet showed reluctance to leave. They stood there in contemplation of whether to protect the one drowning in love's angst or whether to save the one burning in the flames of a broken friendship. But he reassured with a false smile that he will be alright. And so the last of the footsteps made their exit too.
But she stood there.
His shining star. His hope. His ultimate saviour. Maybe far from him, but never so close. The throbbing of his weeping heart, she could hear. The wounds of his bleeding heart, she could see. The tinge of his wounded heart she could feel. But pain is always meant to be shared. And so she followed his staggering footsteps. She followed his anguish frown. She followed those despaired eyes. She let him tread a few steps alone, only so he wouldn't dismiss her demand of letting her walk on the rest of the journey with him. She gave him his much-needed space, but only so he wouldn't space her out completely from his bubble.
"Jaao yahan se!" He rebuked himself. He hated himself. He wanted to punish himself. But he knew she wouldn't let him. He had promised himself to protect everyone. Everyone that were his life to him. But she. She was that sole one who vowed to protect him. Be it night, be it light. Be it rainfall, be it sunshine. She was his shield. His guardian. His protector. Any pain would have to seep through her veins before it even dare to sting his heart. "Manik, I know you need me!"
"No!" Shock overtook him once again. The pain was spreading like numbness through his body. He attempted to walk away once again. His stature resembled a zombie to be precise. Lifeless. Absolutely emotionless. But enough was enough! The alone time needed to end here. He either let her walk with him, or not a step would be taken. What once used to be his move to hinder her steps, was today her technique of locking him in place. Pushed against the wall, demanding the outburst of his feelings, his thoughts, his agony, his tears. "Shhh... don't... say a word!" She was scared. Scared for him. His silence was scaring her. His resistance was alarming. His hibernation, making her fearful for him. He was at a loss of words. Eyes rejecting every request to blink just once back to reality. Tears refusing to let go of the pupils. "It was Dhruv... my ... buddy...my..." A violent Manik was definitely better than a silent one. He needed to express if not talk. Yell, scream, break, punch, anything; but just no silence! Silence was dangerous. It meant he was falling in the well of utter darkness once again. It meant he wasn't safe for himself. It meant he was heading towards a dreadful dead end. She had to save him. She had to break his silence. And so she instigated him with her stubbornness. She swore to not utter a word and demanded he do the talking. But walking away was out of the question. "Talk to me!" And he let it all go. He let out the shrieking, painful cry of loss, defeat, loneliness. She was ready to bear it all. His anger, his frustration, his outburst, his violence. But just not silence. But before she could push him over the edge again, he shut her off and dejectedly walked off.
He continued to walk. Stoned. Despondent. Crushed. The words haunting his mind and heart. Making the pain unbearable. Intolerable. He loathed himself for the pain his brother was in. His world ripped apart. His life now meaningless, directionless. His heart. Which was on its last stage of recovery, now revealed tender, fresh wounds. The echoes of the hateful voice, increasing the pain minute by minute. It was becoming impossible to endure the spreading pain. His tears were becoming incontrollable. The reality was overpowering. He couldn't take it anymore. He needed her. And today, he wasn't going to lie.
"You were right! I need you."
The tear finally rolled down. The heart finally wept out a plea for help. The mind and the heart both begged for her to stop. He needed her soothing touch the most today. He needs her to protect him to the max today. The pieces have shattered everywhere today. But only she knows the correct placement. The heart's wounds won't stop bleeding. But her touch will heal them in no time. He's afraid darkness will envelope him and throw him into a never-ending black hole. But her presence will show him the light at the end of the tunnel. It's her time to shine today. Shine like she's never shone. It's her time to protect him in the cocoon of her arms. It's her time to balm his heart. It's her turn to fight for him.
Tomorrow she will assure him of her love. She will wipe his tears and kiss each of his wounds better. She will caress his forehead to put him off to a peaceful night's sleep. Tomorrow she will inch very close to making him a part of her once again. Because tomorrow, he will finally realise that he needs her not just today, but forever.
Honestly speaking, I can just feel my tears already coming thinking about tomorrow's episode and I know for a fact that I think I will enjoy writing about it just as much as I will enjoy watching it.
Hope you all enjoyed today's episode!
