We have seen in yesterday's episode that Jalal had given one BEHETEREEN SEEKH to his Waliaahad..😊

This was one of the best parts and a way of imparting lessons that Jalal could employ for his Sheiku Baba👏

Let us see firstly what happened--😃

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suddenly a daaku comes and puts a sword on Jodha, asking her to give away the jewellery.Jalal's soldiers fight with other robbers, Salim asks the robber to leave his mother.Jodha takes sword in her hand and ask robber to go from there, otherwise she will kill him.The man throws her sword away and puts sword on her neck, asking her to give away her jewellery.Salim takes the sword in his hand and attacks him on his hand and warns him to leave his mother, else he would kill him.The man says " SHABAASH SHEHZAADE !! ". Salim sees the blood and throws sword away.

The robber turns out to be Jalal himself and he takes the naqaab off from his face, much to their surprise. Jodha asks Shehehshah, the reason for putting forth this act.Jalal says that he wanted his son to raise his sword to protect his mother and he did that.He says that he wanted him to know the importance of SWORD for a king.He says that Salim very well knew that his AMMIJAAN was his responsibility that's why he raised sword for you.Tomorrow when nation will be his responsibility, then he will raise his sword to protect them.

Jalal asks Salim that yesterday a man lost his job(Rashid),then why did he not raise his voice?
"You are going to be king, your work is to give jobs not to snatch it, the way you protected your mother today, you have to protect your nation too, its your nation, all mothers are your mothers. The nation is your responsibility, I understand that Nadira must have done mistake but you could have stopped Badi Ammijaan! You didn't even think once that how will Rashid eat? How will he live with his family without job?A king cannot sleep if one person is hungry in nation, I am happy to know that you can protect your mother but you are not only a son but a heir, king doesn't raise sword to kill anyone but to protect his nation. You could have saved someone's job, Salim says I didn't throw her in pool, Jalal says you could have lied to save a job of a person, you are going to be the future king and you have to do everything to make people happy, always remember that you are a Mughal's heir, who never do anything that will embarrass our family. As a SULTANAT KA WALIAAHAD, you too have some responsibilities and please try to think in that way."

Jodha says Salim is very small to learn all this. Jalal says "I was more smaller than him, when I had learned all this things. This is the time to learn about king's responsibility."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above incident and the incident of GHUNGROOS AND SWORD FIGHTING remind me of sessions and books that directly instruct kings or lesser rulers on certain aspects of rule and behaviour.
Now, this is something, which we call MIRRORS FOR PRINCES...Bachpan se hi, shehzaado ko aisi seekh diya jaata tha...

We do have such writings in form of stories, like

-- Vishnu Sharman, Panchatantra
-- Chanakya, Arthashastra

These books were often composed at or before the accession of a new king, when a young and inexperienced ruler was about to come to power. These were helpful teaching aids for the princes to become a better king, protector administrator..
Unless the princes have a strong foundation,they can't become legendary figures...who are the future Shehenshahs...the ZIL-E -ILAHI...😉

Please let me know your views guys...I would love to know them😊

Amazing post lasya ,I loved it.
As a parent myself ,I feel why only princes but almost all the kids should be taught from childhood what is wrong and what is right. As in the childhood ,the mind is like a sponge which absorbs anything very instantly,Its our duty give good fodder to their minds to absorb. The good foundation in the childhood is very essential.
Somehow Jalal's attempts of teaching his son sword fighting in different ways is praiseworthy.Even he telling his son about the duties of an heir and then a King was good but he shouldn't have told his son that we.can lie according to the situation as his son doesn't have that ability at this age ,to understand what his father meant,
But I expect something from Jodha too.Its good she is teaching singing to her son but she herself is good at sword and being a princess she had learned it at young age and used to religiously practice her skills sometime back.So she should herself boost his confidence to take the sword in his hand and go for practice. She has to make sure that he learns the basic skills like sword fighting, martial arts etc which are necessary for a King .Because it's the mighty emperor who saves the nation from the enemies than anyone else,
Even the great Shivaji's mother used to be personally present on the training field of her young son of 8 yrs, to see that he shapes up as a fearless mighty warrior .
Why doesn't Jo tell Salim stories of Arjun ,Karna,Prithviraj chauhan etc or atleast of his own father's warrior skills to motivate him?
When Jalal and Jodha both are looking out for the best interests of their son then why they should be at opposite ends ? Why can't they make a team as most the parents do,and give the best to their son? He can get the training of a good warrior and also as being a good man almost at the same time then why the difference between them?

I agree Rashmi..Great post😃

Mothers are our first teachers at home...Jodha can teach many things...😊

Even Salim can take the interest to learn, provided he has the zeal and understands the need for learning these😉

Lasya and Rashmi, loved both your write ups. Agree with both of you.

The way Jalal is trying to bring in awareness in his son regarding his responsibilities needs to be appreciated. Just because both Parents are capable and smart, brave, it is not required that the child automatically gets it or has it. However the child has the advantage of having such capable parents who can mould him up. We are seeing this right now.

I loved the concept Talwarbazi Jugalbandhi scene as well as the Dhakku scene. The only part that I did not like was Jalal advising his son to lie for a good cause. Chalo I can forget this also as I was pleased with him today the way he handled Ruks.

I wish Jodha could also teach sword fighting to Salim, and seeing his mother he would be motivated more.

Wonderful post. I guess princes training would be on 24x7 from the time they learn to absorb things. Not just about weaponry skills but how to behave as king, rule, mete out justice.

You reminded me of books - Kane & Able and Prodigal Daughter by Jefferey Archer.

I wonder why they are showing Jodha as opposing any training for Salim?!
This is based on what I have read in episode wu and promo wu.

Jodha herself is shown as learnt swords fighting and archery from young age. Why would she oppose Salim learning? Instead she would be all encouraging of Salim might even take interest in teaching him! I guess in JA now only SA and Ruk Jalal matter! Jodha has been reduced to side character!

Why would son of brave fearless parents be so scared all the time? He does not want to pick up sword? I would have thought Jodha would be taking personal interest in his every training with Jalal - just like she had learnt from Sujamal.

Of course JA CVs get amnesia except when it comes to Jodha's insults and humiliations! Reading episode wu I wonder if Jodha has any role left in JA?!
