What Jalal is making Jodha go through is extremely disgusting and pathetic. It seems he does not care about Jodha's health and his babies also. I do not want to see this Jalal. I want to see Jalal redeemed, I want to see that his love for Jodha was not an act.
I keep thinking HOW the CVs will redeem Jalal character? Based on what we have seen of Jalal over past one year, it is sure he has no control on his emotions where Jodha is concerned. He goes over the top always and there is no middle ground. Still Jalal took time to realise (Raks 😉) his love for Jodha.
How can then Jalal fall in love with Atifa in such a short time? Never!
If he was shown just taken a fancy to her and wanting her, can be but fallen in love with Atifa?! WHY????!!!!!
There was no hint of a crack also in his relationship with Jodha when Atifa came along, if at all Jalal and Jodha were blissfully happy about their babies soon to come into this world.
So HOW can this track make sense - why would Jalal pretend fallen for Atifa? Who does this behavior of Jalal BENEFIT the most?
I think MahaC might NOT be behind this plan. If she is and her plot is to trap Jalal in accusing him of sin and de-throne him from takht then WHY would Jalal fall so easily for this? Especially when Adga Khan warned him of such a possibility?
Also even if Jalal said he is moving away from Jodha - why should MahaC care for that? Jodha will still be as much pregnant!
Also if MahaC has sent Atifa after Jalal and Jodha - WHY would she also send Khyber after Jodha? Like his handler did by sending him in haram?
Will Jalal go to such extreme lengths to show fallen for Atifa just to foil a plan where he will be accused of sin? Especially when Jodha is pregnant with twins? Won't Jalal just send Atifa away?
So here is MY take on what could be the track.
Jalal saw Ruk talking with Atifa from far and heard Jodha's name mentioned. Jalal did not hear anything else but saw Atifa face clearly.
Jalal wondered if Ruk is plotting something, esp after her faking the pregnancy. Jalal knows Ruk's jealousy for Jodha and her obsession for audha. Jalal therefore went to Ruk and gave her a subtle warning not to do something that will take her away from him. He also reminded that she was also going to be Ammijaan of Jodha and his baby. He might have felt happy Ruk participated in the Jashna. Maybe thought his warning had worked.
Later Jalal was shocked to see Atifa in Jodha's hamam. When Jodha walked in first he was worried about her reaction and also shaken that even after increased Haram security how can ANY woman just walk in Jodha's hamam? He got worried about Jodha's safety.
Jalal realized if Ruk is plotting something then he has to be extra careful.
Ruk has as much resources as him and control of the haram and her informants are everywhere in palace.
Also WHY was Atifa sent so close to him? Why was the scene staged for Jodha to walk in on him and Atifa? What might Ruk be plotting?
Jalal painted Atifa picture from his seeing her for the first time with Ruk. He was wondering and feeling tense about what could be Atifa-Ruk plot? Just then Ruk walked in startling him. Jalal also realized that he was actually feeling a strange attraction for Atifa.
Ruk Jalal dialogue where he told her she knows him from childhood there is no hiding anything from her - he realized that if it is some plot of Ruk then he has to be very careful to learn of the plot and about his reactions in front of Ruk. Cos she knows him really well.
When Jalal was introduced to Kabul group and Atifa in DEK, he genuinely felt sudden attraction towards her, he could not keep his eyes off her. Jalal told Adga Khan not to investigate them because he wanted to find out about Atifa personally.
After feeling the strange attraction for Atifa and her singing with Tansen, where again he could not stop touching her - Jalal started questioning his own strange attraction for Atifa. When he was given something to drink by Ruk that was not his normal jaam, Jalal started to get first hint of what Ruk might be trying to do. Atifa husband hit her news was given to him when he was with Ruk.
Maybe Jalal then started getting the plot. Ruk wanted to get Jodha away from him. Atifa was the bait he was supposed to take. Jalal might have thought about why Atifa would do this if she is married? Also would Ruk plot this if his takht might be at risk? So Jalal might have felt that Atifa would not be married. Also Ruk knows Jalal's soft heart about woman abused and a forbidden fruit might be more attractive. If Ruk had introduced Atifa in haram as some random girl then Jalal might not have shown any interest. So maybe Ruk is giving him something in his drink.
Why Jalal might be playing along instead of sending Atifa away? Cos he has no proof about the plot, he does not know to what extent Ruk might go. Jalal also might feel if he just sends Atifa away then Ruk might plot something worse. So Jalal maybe wanting to catch Ruk Atifa red-handed NOW.
Before coming to this realization Jalal might have been feeling attracted to Atifa and wondering at his own reaction, so the self talk. After realizing that he was given something to drink - Jalal might have stopped drinking the stuff. However, he kept pretending that he is feeling more and more attraction for Atifa.
So after Jalal stopped drinking the stuff that is the point he stopped the plot and took control.
Jalal might not be knowing exactly what Ruk has planned. It is possible he thinks that Ruk wants to separate him from Jodha, and if Ruk feels her plot is not succeeding she might do something worse and go after Jodha. So Jalal is pretending to go along so Ruk feels happy she is succeeding driving Jodha away from him. Jalal also does not exactly know how the man who might be pretending to be Atifa's husband fits into this? What is going to be his part in this?
Jalal still does not know exactly is the end game? He is therefore not worried about Atifa husband going to clergy if this is Ruk's plot. He feels confident that he can easily pay off Atifa's husband and quieten this matter.
Why is Jalal doing this to Jodha? Cos Jalal might be worried about her safety and knows that he simply cannot be with her 24 hours, and also if Ruk is plotting something against pregnant Jodha, then Ruk can go to any extent. He does not yet know how far Ruk can go, he also does not trust Ruk now.
If he just accused Ruk she will deny and he has no proof. Also Ruk is the ONE person who knows Jalal and Jodha relationship closely. If he told Jodha that he is pretending about Atifa, Jodha will question and might want to talk directly with Ruk - assure her again. Jalal knows Jodha's graciousness and kindness is NOT working on Ruk. He KNOWS Ruk.
So for now Jalal is playing along, his reaction to Atifa saying Ruk sent her was interesting. So maybe he realized that Ruk feels she is successful now in getting him to fall for Atifa, that is why he upped the ante by love talk and letting her husband catch her.
Maybe Jalal is waiting for the end game from Atifa Ruk, wanting to see after he has completely taken the bait what is the next plan?
If Ruk is feeling she is getting him away from Jodha, then will Ruk stop plotting against Jodha? This is something he needs to find out by their next move. He wants to catch them red-handed fast.
How can he be so callous and uncaring with Jodha? Not visit her or ask about her health and babies? Maybe they will show Jalal is worried that Ruk might go to any lengths to separate Jodha from him. Therefore he wants Ruk to feel she has succeeded to get proof against her. Ruk is one person who will KNOW if Jodha really believes Jalal has fallen for Atifa or not. Cos Jodha is an open book. So this could be the reason he has not told Jodha.
If Jalal is ready to go to this extreme length in hurting Jodha, then Jalal really must be feeling that Ruk is capable of going to any lengths against Jodha. He must be feeling Jodha and babies life is at risk.
Maybe the kidnap plot will throw a spanner in this plot and he will go to search for Jodha. Will that make Ruk realize that Jalal still loves Jodha and will that make Ruk and Atifa do something worse? Where Jalal will catch them red-handed.
Jalal is not realizing Jodha is strong physically and mentally but how devastated she will get if she feels he has fallen for Atifa, how his words will hurt her. Unfortunately Jalal has taken Jodha for granted in this, and he has always pampered Ruk. If this is actually Ruk's plot then I want to see her caught red-handed and harshly punished.
The question is will CVs redeem Jalal? Jalal actually fallen for Atifa or caught looking foolish in some plot will make him more weak. If Jalal does this cos Ruk is the plotter then his behavior and not telling Jodha might make tiny little sense!
I do not want to see Jodha so hurt. It is painful to watch the horrible treatment they are showing towards a pregnant woman. Jodha heart broken and believing Jalal lied to her is something I will detest to watch.
What I so much want to see is Jalal somehow come out of this not as lusting after a married woman but still madly in love with Jodha.
So this theory is my wishful thinking about this track. Right now I want to see Jodha happy in her pregnancy, cared for and pampered by Jalal. So hope this crappy track gets over soon, Ruk is caught red-handed and punished - of course she will use her wish to go scot free!
Anything to see Jodha happy, IF only if Ruk is caught red handed and Jodha believes Jalal did this for her and babies can I see some salving of the love story. Jalal doing this for MahaC somehow does not make sense!
I watch JA only for Jodha now, cos Atifa's Jalal or Ruk's Jalal is of no interest to me. Jodha's happiness is what I want to see. For HER SAKE Jalal has to be redeemed.
PS : this track idea is of Thethinker - I am just taking her idea further and wishing this is shown ahead.
Maddy, I had promised to comment on this lovely post and idea you have had as soon as I got back my Net ... so here I am.
See the beauty of your idea (and that of TheThinker) is that it presupposes that Jalal first got his suspicions about Ruq's hand in this whole Atifa affair, and then he has systematically enacted a drama not just to unmask Atifa and her husband, but to actually get to the person behind all this i.e. Ruq.
Most of the time whenever we have a track where Jalal is trying to get to the bottom of things, the tehkeekaat stops at the Atifa level and does not go down to the Ruq level, so this Ruq is always getting off scot free. In the fake pregnancy case, however, Jalal did get down to the Ruq level and did not stop at the hakima level, but then Jodha made him forgive Ruq to preserve the childhood friendship.
The thing that strikes me as different this time with Ruq is the fact that, if she in involved, she may be plotting the death of Jodha and the babies and not just the downfall of Jodha. This is because Ruq now knows she herself has had her womb destroyed by that ark and she can NEVER have babies and NEVER be the Marium Uz Zamani. Now the only thing before her is to see that not only does Jodha lose these twin babies that she is now carrying but Jodha herself should lose her life or else even if the babies are miscarried, again and again Jodha can become pregnant and get the possibility of the MUZ title.
So this time Ruq has to plan for the complete and final outcome rather than half an outcome ... she has to plan the death of the babies and Jodha and that can be achieved by killing Jodha during the pregnancy itself!
I think more than anyone else, Jalal has calculated this probability. Any Shahenshah of any large Sultanate has to see what is the risk factor in any situation. And if he is looking at risk factors he also has to look at who may be behind any saazish to cause the risk gfactor,... for this he has to see who would benefit the most from the death of Jodha and her babies.
Here if we take the possibilities of Maham/Adham, Nigar/Mahchuchak, Ruq and Sharif as the four principal people to gain from the death of Jodha and the waarises, out of these Jalal has to see who may prefer to do the saazish to Jodha and her babiesand what methods they are likely to use.
As you say, Jalal may have been alert to all four angles, but when suddenly Atifa, a total stranger and a refugee, lands up in the Shahi bathtub which she cannot even be allowed to see, and Ruq starts giving him the nasha of which she will tell him the name, and even further when the news of Atifa's husband hitting her comes when Jalal is in Ruq's room it becomes deeply suspicioius. I think, as you say, its a culmination of all these things that must have hit Jalal as Ruq being the foremost possibility as a culprit. Also think ... why is jalal suddenly now so much in Ruq's room after he got so pissed off that she had faked the pregnancy? It suggests to me that Jalal wants to study her at close quarters. There are too many clues leading to Ruq.
I think if Jalal has zeroed in on Ruq and been studying her carefully and watched the reactions of Atifa and her husband (not by themselves but as henchmen of Ruq,), he may have arrived at some guesses as to what Ruq is upto and he may have also realised that to get the effect of her chaal Ruq has to go for the total kill of Jodha and the babies in one stroke.
We are now at a stage when the final proof of Ruq's hand is required. That is why I don't buy the theory that Sharif or Khyber may kidnap Jodha. I think there may be some other twist in this whereby the real chaal of Ruq will have to yet come out and we have to see what she does to make Atifa and her husband actually deliver Jodha's death to her.
So far we have theories that due to so much of troubles faced by Jodha (kidnap, rolling down a hill, fighting dakus etc) Jodha comes to the brink of death. But I don't fully buy this as a reason why Jodha comes to the brink of her death.
I feel we have to get some indication that Jodha comes to the brink of death because of Ruq's handiwork. In fact not us but Jalal has to get pucca subooth that Ruq engineered Jodha's death and that is why Jodha is now fighting for her life. It is not enough that Ruq was obliquely involved. We have to have a direct link to Jodha life-threatening condition by Atifa and her husband, supported directly by Ruq. If jalal is able to get such pucca subooth, only then will we be able to see Ruq caught and punished. Anything less than that will again let Ruq off the hook.
I am waiting to see if we are shown the fact that Jodha is at the door of death directly due to Ruq,. Nothing less than that will satisfy me.
