WHO it can be and what the plot is - it is still a mystery. However, I think Jalal even now given something in food/drink does not seem to be. Maybe he was given something initially cos he had that self talk where he wondered why he is feeling attraction for Atifa?
True...my worst fear is...what if testosterone turns out to be the culprit. Our favorite teda emperor won't find a place to hide from Jo lovers. He shouldnt hv put up the act of being a "one woman man" to please her and the viewers. Both Jo and the viewers would hv accepted his casenova lifestyle eventually.

Remember, Bill Clinton...people were more upset with him for lying

(perjury) than the actual " act" during the Levinsky scandal.
Similarly, viewers would have accepted a polygamous Jalal sooner or later( after all it is historically true) but the reaction to a decietful Jalal would be different. Hope the CVs don't show that.

Main thing is Jalal and Jodha were in a blissfully happy place and no cracks, expecting babies so WHY would Jalal suddenly turn so against Jodha who is loves passionately and now when she is going to give him what he has craved most his life, child.
You have a very valid point here. If the makers were consistent in characterization, no one would have doubted that there is a strong reason behind this sudden U turn. But once bitten, twice shy. Viewers find it difficult to use logic while interpreting things because CVs never showed a Teda Jalal with a plan B when it was really needed.Viewers are reluctant to have high hopes from Teda Jalal this time. Everyone wonders...why would EK script writers start using logic out of the blue? Though, I really hope that the viewers are wrong this time.

So there has to be a very strong reason for Jalal to act like this. I hope the track closure gives very satisfactory answers. WHY Jalal is acting this way? WHO benefits if he gets away from Jodha? Why will he go to such extreme length? Ruk has the power, the network and the very close contact with them - so if it is her, can maybe understand why he had to pretend!
Everything points towards Ruk...and I am so eager to see her downfall. 😡
About Jodha's treatment in pregnancy or I should say mistreatment in pregnancy by everybody is shocking. She has suffered physical, emotional trauma to such an extent and even that she bore with a smile. However Jalal saying to Jodha that he feels she is not worth his love and he has fallen in love with someone else is what will shatter her heart.
Heavy price for Jodha to pay...even for Ruks downfall. Poor twins will become the next victims of Agra's dirty politics.

Whatever, Jalal's reasons - I want to see my Teekhi Ameri mirchi back to give him hell. Jalal needs to do something or show her (and us) a valid reason for us to forgive his this treatment of Jodha.
I am with you...enough of this forvgiving sati savitri act. Teda Jalal can wait. But I want the teekhi mirchi back ASAP.

Attraction to Atifa is small thing for me, how he treated pregnant Jodha by total lack of concern, care and abuse and indifference - that is horrible. I so want him to grovel!

The polygamous lifestyle does not bother me much( I know it should...but cant help it)...he can live happily ever after with his Ruk and this Atifa girl for all i care...what I find objectionable is

1. He deceived jodha...even used Kanha's name to get her in bed (however if he is acting and meant what he said before SR, then this offense is forgivable ).

2. The emotional and verbal abuse a pregnant woman is shown to be subjected to( unforgivable offense).

2. Very interesting - I am not aware about the law in this - if Atifa is married to a KS does that make her marriage illegal? Why? Cos he will still be her husband according to law and she his wife. This is very interesting point you have raised. Cos in today's times if marriage took place is reason to call it legal. So really if Atifa husband is declared a KS even if they are married actually - it will not be a sin by Jalal and Atifa?

I wish someone who knows laws and customs of those times can answer this.

It was so much easier to understand and love this a flesh and blood human being with flaws who survived against all odds to become the great Emperor Akbar. Your theory makes a lot of sense. Ruk is beyond redemption. So they can pin it on her. A woman shown as a potential child killer is beyond redemption for non-sadist viewers. Please pardon me if I am inaccurate or repetitive...I am on a break from the show and rarely visit the forum these days. I try my best to follow the storyline but it is not the same as watching the show or reading different POVs on the forum.

I am most curious about the reason behind his behavior.

Is it a spell? Like black magic? I don't know enough about it ...so will refrain from commenting on it.

Is it an aphrodisiac? Hmm...that's interesting.

I would really like them to reveal the name of this compound for it to make sense. Ruk added it to Jalal's jaam...Aphrodisiacs are substances that increase sexual desire...there is an increase in libido...hyperarousability and increased( sometimes not) performance. There are some naturally occurring ones ... rhino horn, ghinseng and Spanish fly are the more famous ones. Most studies suggest a placebo effect...but Jalal doesn't know (right?)...then what is it that can make a man ingest it and get attracted towards a certain female...if Ruk gave him that drink, why didn't he do "it" with Ruk or even Jodha...CVs please tell me the name of this person specific aphrodisiac that makes him attracted to just Atifa( I'll use it on Brad Pitt next time he is in my city)...And, if Atifa is wearing something that attracts Jalal towards her, then again, it has to be person specific...it is clearly not working on her husband, Atgah or SD...I am assuming that Adham is out of town. We need to know the name of this discovery/invention by Ruk/ Atifa 😉

Besides that, CVs need to explain several other ugly aspects of Jalal's personality that were highlighted in this track.

He is shown to be a person who doesn't respect his religion...all the sins that he committed in the holy month need to be explained. How can viewers respect a man who doesn't respect his own faith? How can he make tall claims of respecting all religions when he doesn't respect his own religion? Beats me.

A very poor judge of character...and a poor judge..period...while Khyber is being punished for entering the harem, Nigar Aapa who brought soldiers to rape his harem ladies( including his beloved Jo and Ruk) is sitting in Agra Mahal enjoying the luxuries. He needs to pay that terrace Tarazu another visit.

An unfair husband...even if he is acting, his concern towards a pregnant Jo and a pregnant Ruk is very very different. If he suspects that Ruk is capable of hurting Jo, send her and Atifa on a pilgrimage...isnt that easier than torturing a pious pregnant woman who is about to give birth to his heir(s)? have Salima or someone else taste Jo's food. Didn't the Hakima sahiba with ultrasonic hands( the one who detected twin pregnancy in the first trimester) tell him that twin pregnancy is a "high risk pregnancy"? he could have played James Bond later(though we have all the elements...a seductress ...Ruks jaam, shaken not stirred; plethora of villains including the giant from 'the spy who loved me' and a lovely damsel in distress).

I really hope the CVs do justice to his character and explain all the whys" and "hows" in this skippable track.

Also, I feel as a lead actress, Jo's character needs some more spice and variety of emotions.I feel her acting is becoming very ordinary and expressions predictable...but that's just me. I am sure all paridhi's fans can ignore my words. I am wondering how an avid Jo fan like myself, suddenly became a non-supporter and then a non-watcher.

I am also not able to watch the show these days...getting busy again. And I don't miss watching it...they need to raise the entertainment quotient...adding a new vamp with each new track isn't helping.

But I still enjoy following the storyline and reading the posts written by some friends here.

I am not the best person to give you an update on Ruk and Nigar. But I'll try. Ruk was very upset after finding out that Jo is pregnant. I don't know the exact dialogues but it seems she vowed not to let Jo become MUZ. Since Jo is already pregnant, common sense states that she wants the twins to die...and she is doing everything to make Jo's life difficult including inciting Jalal against her whenever she gets a chance...Since then she is a wannabe child killer in my opinion.

I know that Jo has made her share of mistakes. But the only reason I am able to look past those mistakes is because her character is never selfish or malicious. She does not have a mean bone in her body. Like most viewers, I find it difficult to stay upset a character like that.

Nigar Aapa...I don't think she is going anywhere anytime soon.

I like most actors in the show...but I am not a "fan" of any particular actor. RT acts well. I also like PS because she looks graceful and her shudh Hindi uccharan impressed me in the begining. I can't even speak half of those words with that kind of clarity. Just my POV. I know that a lot of people won't agree. However, I hate her makeup...almost like they work hard to make this otherwise pretty actress look average. Even Hoshiyaar's makeup is sometimes better than hers . 😆 I loved her make up in the wedding track.

Btw, I watched bits and pieces of the show you recommended in ur PM( we r not supposed to write names😉)...cute love story. My mom loves watching it too.😊
