Mandy, anarkali is fiction but timeline is 1590 as per that story - which makes Akbar 48 - I for one wont advice RT to do it - had the role been similar to Anupam Kher's Saraansh - RT would have done it brilliantly - in a movie minor details are also taken care of - like even hands have to be made up to show ageing - EK does not give attention to details - and that would mess up RT's performance - ageing mei acting ke saath saath make up details play a very important part and as they say 'God is in the details'

Yaar JJ scene were cute and new and so I am not surprised that we all are loving it...aqnd Ruku can surprise us too by taking genuine care of Jo...so lets wait and watch yaar..

adi, you do make sense but i think a mature role will give rajat another opportunity to display his versatility!

it would have been fascinating if they could have made this into a series...first part would be jodha akbar around 300-400 episodes...then salim noorjehan another 300 episodes then shahjahan and mumtaz...all are epic love stories and there would be no need to drag also ...

agree agree. If JJ don't stop with this forehead kiss/head pat routine ad infinitum, it will improve a bit ...coz then they will have to do something new. At this rate, I might prefer kartavya bhashans to this non-stop repetition of routine pats to the head.

exactly ela. if nigar is given screen time, whts wrong with ruku's scenes?? i think ruku is more popular than nigar. i also feel nigar & SB scene should have been cut down & JJ should have got tht time.

Agree...there are many ppl who are fond of Ruku/ Lavina and she is an important character of this show...now she seldom gets a good scene...and when she gets she shows her calibre...

I have a feeling that none of the other mughal romances will work. Hindi audiences have lapped up the inter religious romance of Jodha Akbar with a Hindu protagonist but how willing it will be watch the other romances where this does not play a part, I don't know, but it sure is risky. Other than Mughal e Azam, none of the other 'later mughal' romances has ever worked. Even Mughal e Azam with it's arcane Urdu dialogues, I don't know how well it will do in today's climate.

My feeling is that any show that does not have a strong Hindu protagonist will suffer in ratings. I am not being boorish and hard headed, I am just saying the common sense facts that producers have to consider but never utter.

Good shows does not necessarily mean good ratings. Just look at Yudh ratings for an inclination of that.
