Radhika, you are about the only unique one to show sympathy for the ill-planned adventures of Ruq!
What to do, Mansi! When we are not getting what we want, we have to like what we get! I am now viewing Ruq as a comic rather than a vamp.
You are thinking from the POV of a wife who loves and regards her husband. But does Ruq ever think so much about Jalal? Does she care for him or regard him with respect? So, what makes you think she will draw a line anywhere? She can stoop to new lows just to achieve her own goals.
As far as plots go, in real life also, there were some weird plots in the harem. Some were reported in the chronicles but many others were brushed under the carpet. Who knows what all Ruq did to get rid of Jo and to win over Jalal? She must have done some really bad things which is why Jalal stopped talking to her for a period of time. So, we need not find this characterization unreal. What say?
BTW, Mansi, I had made the comment as a joke. Please don't take it so seriously. I need to laugh at the show or I will not be able to watch it.
Yes I agree, she will never be an A Class villain. She will blunder along and whenever possible score a self-goal! But seriously I draw the line against drugging your own husband just to keep him away from the other wife. Who know how fatal these druggings can be? Especially if the drug is supposed to knock the person out for a full day! Somehow I am also a wee bit disappointed with the characterisation of Ruq. Surely she was not as dumb as all that in reality. A bit of exaggeration is OK but at times she is being made to look like a circus clown in her bumblings which is not a good way to show her as the antithesis of Jodha! What say?
When JJ themselves are not being shown well, what can we expect for the other characters? Like I said earlier, we have to "grin and bear it".
Mansi, again I am stressing that please take the comments on Ruq's plot lightly. It is not a serious comment or a compliment to her. 😊
