Off late, most of the followers who have stuck around, have been winnowing only. Sifting chaff from grain and trying to be happy one scene at a time, literally from the colossal mess.
I saw SC's video where she sounded excited about what NEW things she can bring on table along with NM's effort to add nuances to SSO. The girl went on to say that "nayi chemistry develop karni padhegi as Shivika". And director LM was passing by who heard her and said she has done her best so far and she is doing good now. When you hear her, you want to give her a chance. But the problem here is that as much invested the actors seem to be towards their characters, hugely its the writing team that FAILS them, woh bhi miserably. One can think of all fancy names and float around with "never seen before on TV" tropes, but fact is they have reached saturation with Shivika or rather I dare say IB.
SC went on to say she feels blessed to be working. Very true. If show ends, it ends and everyone involved will find it difficult. But the massive truth is that the team who executes and writes a story will have to be aware of this first.
The lack of freshness in storyline stems from reaching saturation. The viewers are fully invested, the celebration today for 2yrs is indicative ( I participated too:)) If the so called selfproclaimed "out of the box thinkers" and supposed trendsetters exhibit even one third of the passion ( that viewers have), it will work wonders.
The execution now seems largely dependent on fluke.
2 good episodes, 3 bad
1 day of Shivika centric track, 2 days of mindless "mass" hamming and fizzling out.
2 days of wonderful detailing in scenes and 3 days of mix and match
2 days of awesome scenes you fall in love with and 3 days where viewers are left scratching their heads.
2 days of make-believe in creating impactful connect and 3 days of complete disconnect that brings all hopes crashing down.
Confrontation scene:
I did like Anika's reaction to the wound on Shivay's hand inspite of him being the man that caused her pain. That was a glimpse of Anika who cared for Tia's baby, hurting herself in the process inspite of what all Tia did to her. Uske alawa, nothing else worth remembering.
Overall, the "Maa pe jaane wale" dialogues doesn't make it any grand. Koi class toh maintain karen. There are so many ways to make the confrontation impactful.
Chalo, ek ne bol diya. Itni suljhi huyi, forever humanitarian Anika ne dohraya kyun. Maa sentiment is TRP trope, but using it today was out of context.
This "tit for tat" waale scenes are not appearing too good to let them initiate a connect to each other, leaving aside the janm janmantr rishta, so to say.
Physical intimidation leaves a bad taste. Yeh log dark dark bolte karte, its going to char altogether.
The throwing out of house scene: If I remember she had to pay 3 monthss rent, makes it 30000. Nahi? Toh 500 mei kahan landlady was going to agree. And emergency fund hai, yeh puri duniya(khaas kar chachi) ko batana zaroori tha??
Shivay Priyanka scene:
Maan liya , he doesn't know or just doesn't hug back. But the emphasis is on he DOES NOT KNOW to hug. The emphasis should have been he is not the one who is INSTINCTIVE in responding back to a hug or good at INITIATING one. The sister or Dadi hugs him and his hands are partially around but not wrapping them in.
Ab kya bolun, shadi kar raha hai. We know its going to be Anika so not an issue. But as of now Shivay ke according he is marrying Tia. So certain situations mei, yeh haath todhe funny and awkward nahi lagenge?.Nahi?
The stress should have been about lack of teh ability in initiating a consloling expressive warmth with closed ones. Yeh wrongly placed stress on NEVER hugging is making things worse. Also, they showed the brothers who end up kissing him on his cheeks after teh chunri song. Bachpan se aisa hai, toh I believe you don't grow up to repeat the stuff that another doesn't like.
Khair, what am saying is lay emphasis on right places not misplaced areas.
Rumors:
I hope rumor about apni Dadi being back is true.
Dusra rumor about the arrival of Daksh, I hope it isn't true. Very average actor according to me and and I never understood if the creepiness is some grand acting as claimed or otherwise
