Honestly, I want to give this reboot a fair chance, but this new Anika's life is tiresome. I'm bored with all the calamities in her life. She has to take care of her family, but when didn't she have a family relying on her? Why did the writers need to make her this miserable? Original Anika had a rough childhood and was abused, but because of the OTT dramatics from the writing I find myself laughing at the scenes instead of feeling bad for the characters. I can think of a million ways to get Anika (gauri, sahil, and chachi) in OM and none of them involving public humiliation from heartless landlady in the rain lol.

If pain is supposed to "connect" them this time around why is it one-sided? Why couldn't Anika have an issue with physical intimacy? Why is she crying on the road in the rain in every episode? You can show resilience without beating down the character every episode. This is bad writing 😆 I was expecting a calmer cool-headed Anika that had her priorities straight and wasn't invested in Shivaay(or his family), but from the segments she is already having feels being in her old room lol. This feels like a angsty teen fanfic with the dark hero and that special girl that heals his pain 😆 She needs to take a minute and think about the story as whole because it's clearly lacking substance.

Kudos to NM and SC for switching gears so quickly. It does feel like they are different people now. It's shame the writing is cliche and predictable.

Bingo😆😆...teen fanfic is the word...lol but who will explain this to Harneet who thinks she's writing some "epic" dark story with "abhi mujh mein kahin" as the bg score for Anika😆

And I agree with all your points otherwise as well...the pain feels very tiresome...Anika as a character feels tiresome right now...when pain is not well written or executed, no one will connect to it...and Harneet doesn't get the point that ppl can connect to a different Anika if she is given some notable traits...not if she is simply made a generic subdued girl...poor characterization will take this nowhere.

NM-SC are still trying and kudos to them for trying to inject nuance where they can...but if there is an utter vacuum overall, there is only so much they can do.

But, got to brace for more, I guess. Looks like the overall story is not yet decided else Om Ru would not have been used as comic relief for half a minute that too 🥱.

Interesting point...lol even I'm wondering if they are dragging for a reason...cuz this is some next level dragging even by Harneet standards...they really don't seem to have an idea how to move any of the stories forward...whether it's Shivika or the others...so these seem to be stalling tactics...ki do some more hit and miss scenes, a few staring sessions here and there while they try to figure out the larger story...if there is one😆

Bringing old Daadi back has to have switched a few things around for them as well...lol I'm still laughing over the fact that they made the new Daadi a stand in and even made her mouth lines about how she could never take the place of original Kalyani Daadi😆
