Truth or Dare??!!

I know we are all worked up about the ShivIka separation coming but I am only going to talk about ShivIka here and not the separation, which tbh is not that big a deal for me. The dynamics of any relationship are important if it is to survive not the physical/emotional separation.

Truth or Dare:

Seems like that is what is being played here but the rules of the Game differ, depending on who is playing it.

In Shivvay's case it is more I dare you to face the truth .

Not the truth about his illegitimacy because that will hold absolutely no importance the day he finds out about the other glaring truth that he has been blatantly ignoring. The truth that behind the facade of a loving, supportive and dedicated husband he is not the husband that he thinks himself to be. The day he realizes that with his NKK gone, all that his 'identity' is, is that of a husband, and he has failed miserably at that. He has fallen short of that mark by miles and miles.

Lord Shiva himself, the perfect husband, banished his other half, Parvati, in his crazed anger because he was blind to the truth standing before him.

While in Annika's case it is more I dare you to walk out, inspite of knowing the truth.

The Mahan Bahu who is damned by us if she does and damned if she doesn't.

How many times have we heard this being said - Annika is a door mat. Annika seriously needs to get a life. Annika needs to let the Oberoi's solve their own issues. Annika needs to let Shivvay deal with his own crap and stop being Mahan'. She needs to get a job, become independent and be the Annika she was before she met him.. .. yada.. yada ... yada

Well she will stop being that tomorrow but yet we have an issue with that as well?? Of course it is not of her choosing but still she is getting a chance at a few months of peace and quiet time by taking a well earned sabbatical as the Older Bahu - a.k.a 'Fighting machine'

I see it as a good thing that this is happening, barring the 'throwing out' part of course but that was part of the deal made with the Devil for her husbands soul. She has done her part and is going to be leaving guilt free of having broken anyone's heart tomorrow. I for one welcome the 'old Annika' back.

Annika gets her life back and seems for the next 3 months, till the Devil's own son bumps into her again. It seems she has lived only for Annika, not the Oberoi's, during that period and is that not what you guys wanted??!!

It is not like OM is the haven of peace and tranquility right now and Annika is going to miss out on all the happiness and good times. There is Kamini, Ranveer and Tej back on the scene to cause a whole lot of havoc which, tbh, our girl can do without .. .lol 😉

This is the Oberoi problem and let them deal with it. I like the part where Annika is bidding farewell for a few months of well earned vacation time from the duties of "super bahu'. Let them battle it out themselves for a change.

Why Can Annika not Tell Shivvay the truth and be his strength ??!!

And why should she?!! This hidden illegitimacy is Pinky's burden to bear and face with her husband Shakti, not Annika's.

They not only committed the sin of hiding it from him all these years but also encouraged the NKK in him as well! The sin here is greater now. An illegitimate child brought up with beliefs of NKK. So the person revealing this truth will have to live with the guilt of shattering and devastating this proud man.

And why should this person be Annika? Has she not done enough and borne enough already, that she has to bear the guilt of ruining her own husband? Why should Annika reveal what they have kept hidden all these years? Why should she be the one to open the can of worms and feel guilty for bringing his world crashing down?

If Pinky was the mother who would have offered her love and support to her adoptive son once he had learned the truth about his birth, then I could see how Annika would have aided in breaking this news gently to him. But she has threatened that the truth when revealed would cause him to break and that she will revel in his feeling of despair. That is something no loving wife wants to be guilty of - causing the despair of her own husband.

Annika has abandoned Shivvay and she should have stuck on and fought for him with Pinky!

Why??!! Why should she fight for him?? Why should she even need to fight for him?? Why should she try telling her husband over and over again what he clearly does not want to hear and see!! And frankly, she has been trying for the past 3 days, albeit unknowingly, to make him see what is being done to her but Shivvay chooses to remain blind to the truth.

"I know Annika you did not cause Prinku's marriage", is not enough from a husband who claims to love her.

"I know Annika you did not cause Prinku's marriage but I will get to the bottom of the person who tried to implicate you", is what should be said by a husband furious that his wife is being framed.

Shivvay is only half way there as a husband. He has not gone the full mile yet. Shivvay lives in a bubble made of his own. He pretends to have this perfect Family that is a mere illusion. He wanders around OM with a blissful smile on his face while ignoring the pain his wife clearly shows on hers.

That is love according to you all??!!

NO!!! That is blissful ignorance' according to me where he has only selective sight.

Annika should have tried harder to make Shivvay see the truth!

Which of us thinks that Annika, for the past few days since Pinky's blackmail, has said a single thing to Shivvay that is not really the truth about either his or her life? Have not all the statements, questions and accusations she has made either about Shivvay, Pinky and even OmRu been nothing but the truth?

In the pre cap and even before that, Annika has always voiced what was the truth, though it is the bitter truth, for all to digest. There is no place for emotions and feelings where logic, facts and truth are concerned. That is why our courtrooms are based on facts and logic, not emotions and feelings

Think about it as case presented to you all and process the information as a jury with absolutely no emotions prejudice and feelings attached.

So set aside the fact that ShivOmRu love each other and are dedicated as brothers to each other and think without emotions attached. Are Om and Rudy really ready, willing and able to handle the amount of responsibility Shivvay was putting on their shoulders by transferring their shares to them?? I am sure they are very happy with Shivvay looking after it for them because he is better at business than they are.

Shivvay does work hard to earn it and yes he has made the company what it is today so what exactly was wrong in what Annika said - feelings and relationships not attached.
What if Om and Ru were spendthrift and lazy boys who had no respect for what they had been blessed with? Would you not have felt the same?
As for the necklace that Pinky gave I am sure even you saw that one earring was missing and Pinky does humiliated Annika and treat her like dirt. Just because Annika, the perfect Bahu and Bhabhi mentioned this you accused her of lying ..lol
See we all want the 'super bahu' in the end

So why is it so hard for Shivvay to digest the fact that he did have double standards when it came to accepting a brother without NKK but not a wife. The mirror reflected a Shivvay who had double standards. A Shivvay who still has a very long way to go to become the Annika she is in their relationship. This is his final journey towards becoming and transforming into 'Mere Shivvay' in the true sense.

Why am I going to enjoy the separation more than 90% of you in the forum?

Because Annika was so very right in letting things be. She knew that Shivvay has NOT lost his NKK and the last barrier has not fallen and that it would kill him to learn the truth. Meghna (or whatever her name will be) proves that. He has gone back to his old ways, old choices and I am pretty sure to his old habits because he is not brave enough yet to face the change of not having NKK people around him

He is still a weak man holding on to the illusion of life. I have likened him to Siddhartha Gautama in my last post and will stand by that even today. He has not achieved enlightenment in that regard like Annika and his other brothers have. They are much stronger than Shivvay is.

Annika has been through life and has battled it for years. She is an old war hero with the battle scars to prove it. Letting the person she loves go is what she has done for years why will this hurt any different.

But Shivvay has always led a sheltered life. Away from the truth about life, away from the harsh battles of life and away from the despair that life can drag you through.

I watched the episode yesterday and the words struck deep and while I watched Olivia, for some strange reason I thought of Annika. Shivvay has not earned Annika yet.

She had been handed by God to him on a golden platter just as the other things in his life were. But as Jhanvi said to Pinky "Jiski Kismat mein rona likha ho Ussey acchai ki kya kadar"

This time around Shivvay has to earn her and that will be a proper atonement for all that he has put her through.

You know what pearl! It's always a sight to see urs or Anisa's post as I wake up in the morning, and browse through the forum posts as I brush my teeth

I'm still sticking in to IB even if the spoilers are scary, is because I can relate to the characters, though fictional, I can relate to them (except few dialogs and scenarios of course) to me they are fictional real life characters!!!

Shivaay:
I still believe he isn't that strong enough to take up to the truth, digest them and absorb them just like OmRu and Janvi did!!! Because they are simple in their ways!!! But Shivaay, the pride he wears and he is proud of has so many layers. Annika staying with him unconditionally no matter what, won't make him realise it. To cherish a person You need to realise their true value. For this, a break is needed. To realise the true value, to understand their limitations and strengths, a break is needed. To ponder into yourself, you need a break.
Sons are always like that. What Annika told today is true, theirs was just months Long relationship, but what he shares with Pinky was life Long. Sons are just now bound by love to their Mother, they are also bound by responsibility, obligation and gratitude too. They might break the bond of love, but the others cannot be broken. If love is there, the other bondings are invisible, but when the bond of love breaks, the other bondings become shackes. Shivaay is serving his family selflessly out of love not out of gratitude, when the whole foundation of love shakes up, then he will still continue to serve the family, but lifelessly.
Only Annika seems to understand the harsh truth.
What I am looking forward to is - his frame of mind in the break time till he meets her again. Will he give her benefit of doubt at least in his mind, of just declare guilty just like he did before marriage?

Annika:
She knows how it is not to have a family. She knows how it is to have a family (now that she had mingled with Oberois for nearly a year). She knows how it is to lose a family. She knows how it is when the person you consider as a family doesnt even consider you worth enough (Thanks to Bandari bua) She knows how it feels if people call you 'paap ki nishani' or 'najayez' or 'anath' She will never wish such a fate even for her enemies. During Tia phase, she was concerned more for the effect of Tia's baby than Tia's actions on them. She knows how it feels if earth is pulled off from your feet. But Shivaay doesnt. He can understand and assume, but can never relate and realize.
Agreed, OmRu, Jhanvi are concerned about Shivaay. They are sure they can manage Shivaay after relevation. They can console them. No, they don't. They can double the care and love and provide them, but the void and dent once created cannot be mended. I was pondering over why Annika is adamant on leaving Shivaay, giving in to Pinky's blackmail. I could come to only one possible and logical (forget logics in IB! still my mind needs one to accept, you know) point. Shivaay will fight for the family and will go to any extent to save and protect his family. But when it comes to his turn, he gives up easily. He gives into the situation. Remember during Tia's pregnancy fiasco, it was Annika who wanted him to fight for him, to believe in his instincts. She believed his instincts, not even one family member did. That was just a small phase of his life.

Shivaay-Annika:

This scenerio is very huge... His whole being exists on this NKK. If that shakes up, it will take a very long time for him to even stand up, let alone walk forward with his head held high up like now. This is what she is concerned about. By that time, the wall is back, the whole family will succumb to outside threats and attacks. Without him, the whole family doesnt exists, how so ever the family members are, but all are bound by them. He is the patriarch of the family. She knows how this family structure is and how it functions. Pinky might want Shivaay to her herself, but she never had him, in the first place. He always placed his family members on equal pedestal, except for his brothers and dadi. She and Shakti wanted Shivaay for their family, rather for them (This is what I feel so.) So speaking this way, she is moving away from Shivaay and giving him back to his family. Either way, Pinky can never get Shivaay, because never a moment had she loved Shivaay selflessly. His brothers and Annika are the only ones who love him without any returns just his company and his sanity... Even in the end, it will be only them, who will have his side and who will stay in his side. Once after this break they get back together as a couple, they will be the anchor and foundation for the whole family to come in the future.
Annika can think like Shivaay put into a situation. But Shivaay cannot. Besides, Annika is Shivaay's strength, the opposite cannot be said. Thereby the gap. Hope the best for them for this break and meetup later. I hope they become "Aapki Annika" and "Tumhara Shivaay" Considering the other as theirs is easy, but giving oneself to the other and let them treat their way needs selfless loyalty and fierce trust. I look forward to that day.

According to Dadi, mere pote is ghar ko batna nahin denge. And they will never let her down, now that their wives have started to place the family's honor above themselves and their relationship.

Beautiful analys and that is exactly what I have been thinking all the time you have put down my taughts.
Shivay didn't earn her he forced her to get married to him and he was lucky that she stayed and helped him and his family in bad times.
Many people in forum saying he can Handel this let him know but I think shivay is not there yet and he has a long way to overcome his nkk and it's not annikas secret or Borden to have its pinky and shakti to as you said.
People not think to this a girl how has all her life yerned for family and a mothers love and she knows how life can be to a orphan and she doesn't want shivay to go true that because she knows he is not there in life to Handel that
What freaks me out about this track is this new female for shivay that is trubel and I herd that she is permeated in the show I really hope the trp are low and they don't drag this adidi and we can say goodbye to her

There is only one question I wanted to ask though.. When Shivaay says Usne apni shaadi Tod di.. does it mean he is going to divorce her..?? 😭 that's the only pressing concern I have here.. 😭
