I mentioned in one of your posts few days ago, Shivaay's illegitimacy issue is not for Anika's to deal with and whatever Pinky is doing is not Anika's battle to fight.
Anika has tried her best to bring to Shivaay's notice all the truths that exist right under his nose, but since they are related to his family, he chooses to ignore them. He can very well tell Anika that you are not responsible for Prinku getting married and he can also apologize for his mom's behavior towards her, but the truth at the end of the day is that Shivaay is still not at all ready to be at a place where he can choose between his NKK and his love for Anika. That is why Anika is doing all this, because she knows that he maybe able to live without her but he will not be able to live with the truth of his birth.
Lot of us will say that Shivaay will be ab;e to bear the truth but he won't be able to live with Anika. I don't agree with it, because he maybe in love and absolutely smitten with her, but he is not 'Mere Shivaay' like you mentioned.
If we look back to Shivika's journey, most of the problems face by Shivika has been because of Shivaay's NKK. His not doing a background check on Tia and then not believing Anika when she tried to bring Tua's truth in front of him. He only believed her because Tia became over smart and lied about the baby being his.
When Daksh lied to Shivaay about ONS, he believed him instantly because of his NKK, because how can Daksh a guy with such a high status lie? He just accepted it and Anika had to suffer at the hands of his NKK then too.
Dev and Prinku incident, how he humiliated her and fired her thinking it was her who brought into their house to meet Prinku, because how can his precious sister disobey his orders? I still believe Ranveer hasn't changed and he is pretending that he has, so sooner or later Shivaay will have to look back and realize that because of his NKK, he let go of a guy who genuinely liked Prinku and wanted to keep her happy, just because he was illegitimate. That decision of his paved way for Ranveer to target Prinku, who will sooner and later ends up suffering through Ranveer;s hands.
Another huge reason why he isn't still 'Mere Shivaay' is because even though he says that Anika and Sahil are his family too, he still doesn't treat them as such. If he did, he would have trusted Anika and let her know about DaiMa's video and Om's truth when he learned of it. His reason for going with ML idea was not just to expose Mrs. Kapoor and Tia, it was also to get rid of DaiMa's video. Wasn't it because of that video, Shivaay didn't say a word when Sahil was being accused of being a thief? For his brother's sake, he let Sahil and Anika face the humiliation. I could never figure out why he didn't tell Anika, even though he knew that Anika loves OmRu as much as he does but still he told Sahil not to tell Anika.
Even now, when when he is so in love, he still tends to take one look at evidence and in a fit of anger believe Anika to be wrong, like we saw during Prinku's marriage truth coming out.
These days Anika has been behaving so out of character that he keep questioning it, but not once did he try to find out why? Anika is being emotionally abused right under his nose but his and his danger signals doesn't go off? She is tragetting his brothers for God's sake and he is still clueless? His brothers have more faith and trust in her then he does. The step Anika is taking tomorrow actually helps bring out Om's truth that he is not illegitimate, so Shivaay should be actually thanking her, but no all he will see is hos brothers being threatened because they are his family, his blood.
Also, when Shivaay found out Om's truth from DaiMa, he just assumed it was OM, because not even in his subconscious he can imagine that DaiMa could be talking about him. That is how much his NKK is ingrained in him. Another example is Mahi. Om is illegitimate, it didn't matter to Shivaay and he hid the truth from his brothers, why? Because Om is still an Oberoi, doesn't matter if his mom is someone else. Whereas Mahi, who shows at his house, pretends to be him after Shivaay is kidnapped, and Shivaay not once wonders why? I mean its practically impossible to find a doppelganger of yourself in the same country, let alone in the same city. And if by miracle that happened, why would the doppelganger get him kidnapped, pretends to be him and not steal money when he could do so by signing cheaque and cashing a huge amount? Not once did he think that Mahi might be related to him someway? How can a guy living a chawl be related to him, let alone be his twin?
The reason for this long post is not to portray Shivaay in a bad light and justify Anika's actions. It is just to explain that Shivaay still has a long way to go when it comes to Anika, their relationship and marriage. Shivika needs this separation for Shivaay and his family, especially Pinky to stop taking Anika for granted. Let them live without Anika and face their problems on their own, they will be yearning to bring back Anika themselves desperately, because they don't even realize it that its Anika who is that the great wall of Oberois now and not Shivaay.
