😊

Yes of course, Sahir did not point out discrimination issues..but he did make a very personal comment without knowing her bg. It was kind of a threat- Even your abbu cannot stop me- or something like that...that is not an everyday line U you throw at your employee..if she stepped out of line, he should know better too..😳..I am not judging him...just saying that when a girl shows you attitude, you don't have to take a threatening stance...doesn't make him less of a man, just less of a gentleman.😉..which is btw, very very welcome.😆

Yeah...we can only speculate without watching the epi...😳Even if her father had turned up, she would only have insulted him, like the father himself fears...she has no soft corner for him. It was a very harmless comment by Sahir- just that it was actually very much the truth...True..there would never be an abbu to defend her... ...even though he is very much alive.

On the dress code thing- True again...if U R working for a MNC...for a girl from Lucknow...or any other small town, salwar kamiz is as decent and formal as it gets. And she is not there for an interview..she never applied for a job there- she was invited by a family friend who owns the business...and when she was offered this post, there never was any mention of any dress code.

Personally, it all depends on what U R comfortable with...many prof colleges stipulate uniforms for their students...it is your choice whether U want to study there or not...Arzoo told him just that- Measure me by my work, and not what I wear- because I am not going to change basic things about myself for someone else... I felt that was quite fair...😊

Yes, the 'eyes thandak' was cheapening Sahir...it is her thought that is small there...she does not realise why he should decide what she should wear. I think it was also the tone he used there...he put her down in front of the whole office, inviting a few acidic comments..and she retaliated.😊

Yeah understandable that throwing stuff is not ok and she needs to control her anger, since its all pent up with all her pain, but its obvious its one of her character flaws, not empowerment thats pretty easy to see in the show so yeah other then that i am loving arzoo

Chicksoup i agree that anyone would react on such a statement ( though i will reserve my judgement as in precap arzoo talked abt his dou paise ki hasiyat first and that probably touch a nerve of his too) arzoo reacting is fine and justified but the way she reacted is wrong and immature is the point and it should be shown and taken as that only, my problem will start uf that is shown as woman strength! Because strong woman don't react like that ... For me arzoo is immature and i can relate to that, its real. But if they try and sell it as oh look how strong she is, she is not scared to hit people if an argument goes out of hand then i am sorry but thats not how strong women are. For me arzoo has her own set of weaknesses and sahir his own

As for her ankhoun ki tha dak dialogue ... No matter what she meant it came out as her saying whoever dresses up any different does it for someone's ankhoun ki thandak ... Its not about sahir its abt ither women. Also every office has a dress code ... U know one of the requirements for hirings in all good parlours is that your own skin is not bad ... Because they thrive on the slogan of making u beautiful ... Similarly what a designer wears us what inspires a customers ... And no that does not mean a short dress it can be a well stitched, tidy and classic traditional dress also. You can not wear badly designed clothes yourself and convince your customers that u r a good designer ...

Can someone translate the ankhon line for me, cause what i got from it was im here to fulfil my dream, focus on my work or skills not my clothes, im not here.to dress up for you or was it to be your eyecandy. Was that was she basically said. If so that seems fine, ive had similar respones towards people and guys and on tv and movies. Like nobody likes to be told what to wear and how to wear clothes in a insulting and demanding way. Its only going to incite a combatitive response. As for her being a designer therefore she must wear stylish clothes mmm, there are designers
Make up artist and hair artists that do and then there are those who dont but they are good at what they do and thats why they are successful, its not based on how good their hair looks or makeup or clothes if it an important event or whatever then dressing up or whatever is expected. Plus im sure arzoos dressing style will change according to her will as thats normal

Again i dont have any problem with what she wants to wear and wearing what she feels comfy in ... my problem starts when her dialogue hints that everyone else working there wears stylish clothes to please someone's eyes ... she has a right to wear what she wants unless there is a dress code in that fashion house (which some organizations do have) i just feel the dialogue could be a bit different and more sensible .. and its not just this show in most shows if a female wears simple clothes she is made to say such dialogues which make all other women who dress differently look cheap and my problem is with that, not arzoo's reaction

totally understand where your coming from. but i dont think or feel she ment it like that. It was specific to her situation and in response to somethimg directed at her. If she did say im not like other girls who dress in shorter clothes or something like that where she brings in or generalzes then yeah i would see it as not good but its a bit reaching to say she is implyimg something else.

That could be said to pretty much any saying. If i were to say i dont need to drink alcohol to have fun in response to someone who said you cant have fun without drinking, would that mean im implying and putting down anyone else who drinks, no because im saying it specific to myself in response to someone if i was just generally proclaming it to people then it would seem like im putting everyone else who drinks down much like if arzoo went around saying that ankhon line generally as if she is high and migty randomly telling people.

For me its all about context thats what makes the difference. But maybe we will agree to disagree in how we percieve it😊

Pretty much sums up the issue.

He provoked her with the tent dialogue..she retaliated..both were not pleasant.

Also, how we perceive the situation .For me, I will respect a designer who is comfortable with who she is, rather than dress up to advertise her creativity...Arzoo loves to dress up her sister...she does not like that kind of attention on her.

Also, if I were a designer..I would respect my customers for judging me on my product, and not what I wear.😳

That totally does not mean Arzoo looks down on her sister or a person with a mindset liek me looks down on fashion houses with strict dress codes...To each his own...😊

And I honestly felt that dialogue was to put Sahir and only Sahir down...she did not mean to insult her co workers...
But sometimes, people can ascribe different meanings to your words...and u r misunderstood. If that dialogue sounded offensive to more than one person here, obviously Arzoo has been misunderstood...doesn't that happen to all of us?
