Anyway - if you deem the scene as one of your 'favorites' I vote for you to make the post 😳 Aaj to title bhi asaan hai - re use Kesar's legend liner 😆

I don't think Reemz will make it in time, but if she does - then this is definitely her turn and thread to make!

And if neither, then I'll be back to make it around 11:30 IST - got a meeting in 20 from now... and it might take a while - so leme know?

LOL technically I don't deem the scene as one of my 'favorites'...oh the shock and horror😲😆...J/K...but I can make the post, no problem :-) We already have your vid from yesterday so we're good to go for now I guess :-)

Excellent! I'll reserve from the ever-saving-grace of phone net 😆

ps: I know what you mean about 'not' being favorite. Its a pretty scene, and thankfully not cliche supreme despite being along those lines - but its not the kind where you can actually look into double meanings and hints. Simple plain pretty ☺️ I personally think that quick bit at the meal time before it has more 'under currents' - par audience lover boy glimpse bhi to mangti hai 😆

All I can say is I am thrilled at the treasure house awaiting me and I will take my time going through each post religiously - right now I have just skimmed through the caps and OH MY GOD , the caps with the comments tell such a , such a story ! Yoohoo, so much to read , it will take me ages and boy, am I going to enjoy it !

@ Nur , I loved your title "mojdi ka waaris.." poor guy , till the end he was being handed over the mojdis again and again na ? I am reminded of the ending phase scene when he decides that the burden of the mojdi's was too much for him ... and finally refuses them , decided to go back to city... and it also reminds me of the little Kesar , who so innocently and so trustingly of Gulaal stepped into those mojdi's in the first place , when she offered it to him for DV... and now, in this scene , the innocent grown up for still so vulnerable Kesar , talking once to Vasant and then to Gulaal's letters , with no relief to his pain coming from either one ...

your caps bring to life the pain of both Kesar and Gulaal so clearly again...

Hey thanks, VJ! But the mojdi ka waaris title is all credit to Jzee :-)...And yes it's very true that the mojdis played a crucial metaphoric role in all this...I love that that aspect of Kesar's was maintained till the end...he wasn't made to step into the mojdis just for the sake of the 'perfect ending' of him LITERALLY stepping into Vasant's shoes...He's not Vasant...he never wanted to be either...he's his own person and the mojdis tell their own story regarding his and Gulaal's history together.

"The fact that he had to hide away from her for a decade - something he believes was a punishment he inflicted upon her - is proof of the vulnerability he subconsciously suspected in himself, of which we saw a glimpse in yesterday's scene, when he realized Gulaal had not eaten! ... He keeps distance from her to be able to keep up his hate and distrust. And at the same time he keeps distance from her, to avoid the 'impending' confrontation lest he comes face to face with something that will dispel his trust in her ...When he talks about Dushyant, he acknowledges his love as an elder brother, then questions its sanctity in the face of a fact he overheard. When he talks about Gulaal - he doubts her of betraying Vasant his justice in the same breath as admitting that her letters always seemed to hint undying fidelity towards Vasant. Every dialog comes in pairs - a pair of self contradicting arguments. ..-"

You describe Kesar perfectly when you say :
"not having this answer torments him, and then the fear of what the answer might be agonizes him just as much too! "

Hmm...so in a nutshell , what do you say is Gulaal's paradox? that she longs for companionship from Kesar but thinks she doesnt need it - thinks she actually longs for "the family" to get him ? And much later from now , she loves him deeply but thinks it is "wrong" and a "paap" to love him ?

Whatever her paradox , I think her greatest "drawback" was that she could never think of herself as another human being with needs , so engrossed had she become in giving and setting others' lives right ever since Vasant had discovered her "powers"... and in that context the unsung hero of the dialogues (which never came even as a single FB) was Kesar's words to her before he went to panchayat to break the DV - that there was one person she was being very unfair to : to herself , to the woman in her...

And thus another paradox in her life was probably that her memories of Vasant kept asking her to be above human and her "present' with Kesar kept asking her to be human ...
