Even during her pep talk, the body language was firm but she had already been affected once she realized he was fasting for her. Nur, Ganga and I specifically pointed out Gulaal's overwhelmed dialogue delivery when she said 'Tujhe aisa karne ki zaroorat nahin thi'. It really got to her!

@bold: Word! Love how you put that! Ahh that is what is so beautiful about the way this is playing out...that these subtleties make a far greater impact that any dramatic proclamations could as you said...slowly but steadily, Gulaal is atlast understanding the extent, the depth of his love for her...and he doesn't do so with any overt grand gestures...it's just a steady fact that's atlast dawning on Gulaal...so quietly yet so powerfully...beautiful seriously...that shot of her realizing that she has tears in her eyes says more than a thousand words could.

That line was like her feeble attempt to get back into the talk... She was moved by the very fact he was fasting... her idea of going out there to seek his 'confirmation/explanation' would have - coming from anyone but Gulaal - been almost wannabe! Like hello, you know why, obviously! But from Gulaal - its just another sign of her inner battle between acceptance and denial... Like she understood what his fasting was about - cause duh, anyone would - but this feeble sort of attempt in getting an answer from him, perhaps something she could either counter with her luminous tujhe ye karne ki koi zarurat nahin thi... or just something that would not glare back at her as so inconspicuously but evidently 'selfless love'. Something, that her heart would not go out to so direly. It was like she could confront him and turn the situation into semblance of something a decade ago - say when he bought her choodiyaan from gamble money.. something that would sort of make his larger than life secret gesture not so larger than life! I'm not saying she wants to put him down anymore, much less tarnish his love... but her inner battle is extremely testing, and it was just a reflex to get some explanation that would mellow the idealism of his love for her in her mind... because, like you say, the very gesture from him shifted something inside her... and her dilemma is getting the better of her all the time now!

Of course, whatever she had gone out to seek from him, never worked - he came back with such candor, and topped it with even more reason for her heart to do the flips! 😆 Poor thing was a picture of such contrast, a blank on her face, and tumult inside, that when she saw the tear, for a second it was like she'd seen something alien... her 'first tear of love' as Ganga called it!

She's not fighting his love - but she's somewhere stuck fighting her acceptance of it, because it coming down on her, too fast and strong at times for herself to stand up in combat against it! And every time she bows before it, she has that realization of giving in, inching forward just a bit more!

Plus it wasn't just one day of fasting, he went 4-5 days without giving any hint that he's not eating. That kind of silent passionate love just pulls at your heart strings. Somewhere it must be eating her away that she called this love a 'farce' once upon a time.

You know, I wonder what JK's role in all this drama will be?? I can imagine her doing a complete U-turn and maybe start seeing in Gulaal in a different light. In fact, I am kind of expecting Dushy to give a little - 'please don't blame Gulaal, she did this for the family' speech before he heads off to jail. Maybe, JK will play a role in bringing Gulaal back into the house and convincing MB, PB...after all, Gulaal protected her son for so many years.

I know its off topic in this lovely and beautiful post here. But can't help it. By mistake as I flipped channels, I saw a glimpse of the other show with high TRP.Couln't stand it for more than 5 minutes. I forced myself to those 5 minutes that made me feel I was lost somewhere into "black hole". A school going DIL is busy pleasing MIL by agreeing to participate in a stupid colony competition on best saas-bahu duo. My god, where the world is leading to. And that show has TRPs as high as 4.8 on SP. The DIL falls short of a SIPPER to school

Anjali, I can imagine her appreciating Gulaal but what about Kesar? He let the cat out of the bag and now her second son is going to spend the rest of his life in jail.

Ganga 🤣 I'm watching it now. The show is so dumb but hilarious! I have no doubt that it's most probably the state of Gujarat giving the show trps!

Anjali - whoaaa would there be such a day?! I know we've seen Dushyant reform from black to white... but really, JK's anti Gulaal campaign has been A) from the very inception of their encounters, or even just the news of her coming B) is a multi dimensional complicated scenario ... the most I can imagine is JK gaining some 'tolerance' for Gulaal - and i don't know how, even for that much liberty. JK actually becoming instrumental in bringing GK back home - Oh I really really don't think so! ... Irrespective, JK's reactions here on, and her decisions will be very interesting to watch. Like I said elsewhere, her sons have become the cross of her life, and she has only herself to blame!

@Reemz and Ganga - oh shush you two! My mommy *cough* watches that show too *cough* Well, at least 3 times a week... *looks away embarrassed*... I did try to sit and watch one episode with her, and by the end of it, I was amazed to find any hair still sticking to my scalp. When I asked her why... she told me she likes the 'MIL' character only, but very much *looks to the heavens for mercy* I didn't think it was good idea taking my interrogation further about her 'likes' ... 😆 Then again, I reasoned my mommy was much better than many others I know who watch every Kekta show, and its likes on TV ... most of which my mum is disdainful about as much as I am - so I've forgiven her the lapse of this one show, every mommy has to watch something crappy! It's a mommy thing! 😆 There is something called 'generation gap after all... 😆

Oh btw - news update from the show that must not be names forum - someone 'dared' to put up a post saying the actor's acting was somewhat bland at times. So this topic maker did not criticise at all, in fact said that the actor had really risen to the role in time, but at times was still mildly disappointing... the first reply to her thread was from someone who told the topic maker that she was her son's age, and too young, so wouldn't argue, but only smile at her... 🤢 Then, this same 'mother of the son' aged older member went on to make a 'counter' post saying she was 'thankful' the lead actor was so expressionless, because its demand of his role... Okay, I know I must be demented, and oh so jobless, to not only stalk such a forum, but read its mindless posts and then actually 'report' them here - but since I was mad enough to go there and 'read' the posts - I just had to vent... Someone needs to ban me from that forum for my own sanity, because clearly, Sunday nothingness makes me slightly masochistic 🤢
