Deepika Padukone has added another milestone to her international journey, this time in Paris. The actor became the first Indian to serve on the jury of the Louis Vuitton Prize 2025, one of the most prestigious platforms recognising emerging fashion talent.

The final round took place on September 3 at Fondation Louis Vuitton, where the jury, comprising some of the most influential names in global fashion, selected the winner from eight finalists. The panel included Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Sarah Burton, Nicolas Ghesquière, Phoebe Philo, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Nigo, Jonathan Anderson, and Pharrell Williams. Senior LVMH executives Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie, and Sidney Toledano were also part of the line-up.

Padukone, who is a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, shared her thoughts on Instagram after the event. “Congratulations to all the winners! I cannot wait for the world to witness your magic!” she wrote, signalling both her support for new designers and her pride in representing India on such a stage. Ranveer Singh, ever her loudest cheerleader, dropped a fiery “Hot Mama!” under her post.

Her appearance at the prize also turned heads for the fashion statement she delivered. The 39-year-old arrived in a striking Louis Vuitton ensemble: an oversized silk shirt with bold abstract prints in shades of yellow and brown, paired with a golden mini skirt embellished with sweeping fringe details.
