Ismail Darbar confirms Awez–Nagma wedding plans, fears Bigg Boss 19 may send them back ‘fighting

Bigg Boss 19 has only been on air since August 24, but influencer couple Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar are already at the centre of attention. Fondly called “Nawez” by their fans, the two had long been surrounded by whispers of wedding plans. Now, Awez’s father, veteran composer Ismail Darbar, has put speculation to rest. He revealed that the couple were set to marry in December but chose to delay the ceremony for the reality show.

In a recent interview, Darbar shared that both families had approved of the match and even finalised a date. “They were supposed to get married this December. We had fixed the date for 26th December. Awez asked me to speak to Nagma’s family. I personally went, and we all sat together until midnight planning everything. Her mother cooked for us, and the wedding venue was almost decided. But they sacrificed it all for Bigg Boss 19. Now I only hope they don’t return from the show fighting,” he said.

Inside Bigg Boss, Awez himself opened up during a live segment. He hinted that the couple might already have been married had they not signed up for the show. However, Bigg Boss quickly interrupted before he could share further details.

Later, during a casual kitchen chat, actor Kunickaa Sadanand pressed them on their future. Both admitted that their families had already blessed the union. Awez went on to confirm that the decision to marry had been made long ago.

Awez and Nagma’s story has been closely followed by fans since their early days on TikTok nearly eight years ago. Their creative videos and chemistry earned them millions of followers, and their bond often extended beyond the screen. Nagma became a regular presence at Darbar family functions, travelling with them on holidays and attending intimate gatherings.

Now, with their wedding pushed aside and their personal lives unfolding under the lens of Bigg Boss 19, the couple faces a new kind of test. Whether “Nawez” will emerge stronger from the show or see their relationship strained remains to be seen.
