*cough* I wouldn't be too sure of that...trust me, you REALLY don't want to know WHAT Colors is capable of🤢🤢🤢...in my opinion, ALL channels are crap in one way or the other...you can't really venerate one in favor of the other...they all have their own nonsense fundas...In the case of Colors, yeah Parichay may look promising for now but I'm not sure if you know of another show that was once awesome...Laagi Tujhse Lagan...what Colors has done to that show is more vile and horrifying than ANY show in the history of Indian TV...never before has such a fantastic story been so BRUTALLY murdered...so I'm not sure if I wanted Gulaal to have fallen into the same hands...I don't want to imagine what they would have done to this beautiful storyline then.

If Kesar blurts out Dushy's truth and he gets arrested by Monday or Tuesday...surely the Talli wedding is not going to happen 🤢 Kunnu's parents are such idiots and I am positive they will back out of the whole deal once MB's family faces this public humiliation?? This is going to be a very very interesting track because I am dying to see how the CV's weave Vasant's murder revelation at such a crucial time in the show.

I know, I know, I need to focus on the main track - Gul Kes but I keep wandering back to Talli and Kunnu because after dashing our hopes for Dulli (I would take Dulli any day rather than Dushy being sent to jail), CV's are not going to dash our hopes for Kulli as well?? Not after Dushy gets ratted out because of Talli's greedy in laws!!!! 😡

I don't think the showdown will happen on Monday either...I think Monday will be about Gulaal probably intervening when Kesar tries to ask Dushy about the money first so Kesar will likely stew over that the entire epi and maybe Tuesday or Wednesday will bring the big confrontation.

I honestly don't care what Kunal and his useless family do...as it is, that Kunal is expected to leave right after this pooja, no? So I think they'll be out of the picture for a bit and the focus will be (as it should be) on the fallout for this family.

Dushyant has to go to jail...it's a penance coming to fore after many years in a sense...Dulli chances were finished off some days back...that's not happening...so this is the ideal way to give closure to Dushyant's character if indeed the story is winding down...all of the fallout from this big revelation will be related to GK and the family only I feel...Talli aur uski shaadi jaaye bhaad mein for all I care...sorry if that sounds mean😆

Hopefully, Dushyant kidnapping Gulaal would die a secret between them. If somehow, I don't know how, that comes out in the open(although I highly doubt it), the parents would only suspect if there is anything more to their relationship like how it was rumored long back. Why I feel it might be out in the open is that, she has kept an evidence for that truth in her dairy writings. Let us see how much they manage to show. With that kidnapping information, I wonder how Kesar would react

I think that secret will indeed die b/w them...also cuz those diaries of Gulaal were never mentioned after that...and if the show is indeed winding down by the end of the month, then I don't see how they can bring that angle in cuz it would open up more threads...I think the focus will remain on MB/PB etc.'s feeling of betrayal about the basic fact only...that Gulaal hid such a huge truth and actually supported him thereafter for so many years too...I don't think they will ever believe the "affairs" stories...no matter how much their trust is shattered otherwise.

And I guess no real purpose will be served by Kesar knowing about the kidnapping now either since that would open up a whole another can of worms...I'm thinking the focus will mainly remain on the basic revelation that Vasant was murdered by Dushyant and then Dushyant will probably give a big speech of repentance and what all Gulaal has done for the family and then exit with the police...

if they are planning for closure then talli n dushy track as to close.
so i think first talli marriage then as told in article dushy murder disclose by kesar n arrest climax of dushy is arrest/murder has to see.
then MB n PB asking gulaal to leave house.they mentioned she was asked to leave the house,if it happens or not mentioned so ve to see it.as in recent epi she said she can't leave this family.hints were given before only.then again equations changes btwn kesar n gulaal.
intelligent run by cvs, thats why they showing gulaal neutral so that they can make any changes.
many dynamics misunderstandings may crop up,but kesar stays beside her n union
she may understand n leave the house n kesar goes with her n their together journey with out family n lastly both union n with family also.
if gulsar union is not priority then they may show her more mahanta n unite the family n may reach vasanth or left as vasanth widow by making world has her family.
i think these three are more possibilities 😊

I did too - I mean, read the TB before the forum article - tbh, every news article that claims the CVs have desperately tried to 'regain' falling TRPs, and even introduced the leap in effect - doesn't have the first facts right! Anyone with half a mind to follow this show can tell that the leap was not a TRP raising measure. It was part of the original scheme, and always on cards. Like you said in your comment on Anjali's VM - even the original song has both Vasant and chotta Kesar on the camel when they look at Gulaal. The story was always about GK, and not GV. Somehow, the way these news articles have done rounds about Gulaal shutting shop because of dipping TRPs I've come to think of how much the channel is making out of this 'anti publicity' campaign - because going by evidence of TRPs, there has been significant rise and upholding of at least a steady average TRP rating, specially post the leap - better than other shows on SP, especially in the after noon slot. I think what really is happening behind the scenes is this - the show is supposed to come to a close sometime in the near future anyway, the story line is drawing close to an end - the climax has been building and is nearly tipping at its peak now. So TRPs or not, the way this show has been, once their storyline got done with, they are not the kind to simply keep adding segments of more story to keep it on air - the team of writers and CVs for this show are different like that. Since the show has to but end with the coming together of GK, it's almost as if the admin itself would propagate talks of the show 'coming off air' because of not doing well. All publicity - negative and positive - only ever adds to additional promotion and consequent earning for any show. In a way, they're following the Bolly example. Hype up the climax and get it the best response hence, because loyal viewers will totally be agitated by such news, in protest will personally endeavor to promote the show even more! You see where that goes? That for a show that was to come off air to keep true to a logical ending, they add the controversy of TRPs as a issue which is leading to pulling it off air, and that adds to the hype, so that this climax gets its best response in the airing of the entire show history... The fact that we're hearing everything about DB coming on as a 9PM replacement is giving added pre-promotion to the new show, in addition, not to mention the fact that Gulaal 'ending' date has no confirmation. There are all kinds of rumors, but no channel confirmation - which almost makes me think they will simply push it into an afternoon slot to let it get its due time for a proper end - which is not a large amount of time needed anyway, right? Because from the sound of the showdown article, without 'rushing' through the storyline, some significant lose threads are going to be tied up finally, and they are also paving way for the finale get together of GK - by hinting a separation in the wake of this showdown. So if the show has an airing time of say upto end of August - it would more than suffice the story line and its conclusion. Additionally, despite being sifted to an afternoon slot the controversy has ensured ample publicity for the show, to assure viewership PLUS, additional publicity to the new show. All in all, I think its just dramatically putting out something that was plain and simple as the show story line having lived its life and finding a proper end. It was going to happen - but by airing these rumors they've hyped the peak of climax, and raised TRPs to an all time high in Gulaal's history. Not such a bad bargain at all, for a show they have always put in the backseat when it comes to promotions!

And of course, that's just me trying to speculate about the situation, with so much conflicting news of the end. At no point of any episode has it felt like the CVs are hurried, threatened, pressured or hastening (minus of the GK surprise for Tali, which I think after al might truly have gone awry purely because of Mansi's accident) Gulaal has shown no signs of a show that is dying from suffocation of lack of TRPs... it looks like s storyline that has played by its outline at all times, and continues to do so now as it approaches it high end last chapter. And the channel has simply found means of making the most of its tail end! The lack of TRPs to pull down this show just makes sense in no other way - specially when they try to suggest the leap didn't work, LOL!

Gah, do I make any sense?! Maybe I've just found reason to not feel disappointed... cause there's no saying how much I will miss the show after its done. But there will be much satisfaction in knowing it got its proper end, and so far, I feel like we aren't being betrayed on that end, of robbed of any promise we've trusted!

It does make sense, Jzee...you've summed it up well...and yes no doubt the story has never given a rushed feel, the leap was not thrown in just for the sake of raising the TRPs...that was the intended plan of the story all along which anyone can see if they watch the show carefully from the beginning and see the OBVIOUS GK signs...so no matter how many times the news has cropped up of the show being axed due to low TRPs...a leap being expected to increase TRPs etc. etc...it has never affected the storyline's pace or the way it has evolved...that's the ultimate marvel to me and something that makes me admire the writers of this show a lot.

So maybe like you said...the extraneous stuff was just always marketing gimmicks while the writers and the PH stuck with their original gameplan during the entire course...while the PR ppl probably let out all kinds of random news from time to time to give publicity to the show in any form. You never really know with these PR ppl...the kind of stuff they come up with to "promote" their shows is mindboggling sometimes.

Anyways...if indeed we are in the final stretch and if indeed this is how it was meant to be all along...then I too hope we get a fantastic high point of a month as the story reaches it's culmination...an epic saga getting it's fitting end.

Actually I foresee a major dilemma for Gulaal. At one point she will realize that she is in love with Kesar.
All that I am expecting of Kesar to say when she would be asked to leave the house will be "My wife will stay where I live until the Deeyarvatu is called off". I am just imagining this because, if Gulaal goes away, Kesar won't be able to live in his own house in peace. If he goes with Gulaal, it would be another blow to Motaba and Pannba that their only living son has gone away from them by supporting Gulaal who is wrong. Again, the family unity shatters there.
So option would be for Kesar to insist that his wife would stay till the 2 month period. By then Gulaal would already realize she loves Kesar, but she will be in a dilemma because if she opts to continue as his wife without their marriage breaking up, she would be again blamed by the family that she is only accepting Kesar just because she wants to stay back in the family, plus her own guilt would overrride her emotions in accepting this relationship.
Oh, I am expecting high drama. Talli as suggested will have to run away provided Kunal stands by her when his parents will try to break this alliance following all this drama. If Dushyant goes to jail, the issue would no more be a secret. His parents can object even for the reason that they may be ridiculed by Motaba's family once the dowry issue comes in the open. Well, if Talli can get married to Kunal without both the families's consent, Kesar can conveniently step in to do the Kanyadaan. what say?? Brothers can also do this baba!!! After that, Talli will immerse that box full of Kesar memories in river Ganges

And adding to the previous...I'd posted these CAPS in Ganga's post a couple of days ago and just reposting them here again...

Gulaal's "you can't fool me, Kesar" look

Kesar still tries to make a feeble attempt at a lie😆

Gulaal's "I'm so not buying this" look😆

From here on it's just honest, earnest truth...as it always is with Kesar..."zaroorat HAI"

And second, the family might be able to understand her reasoning that she wanted the family to be united, as per Vasant's wish. What would demoralise them would be that Gulaal several times had been openly appreciative of Dushyant, THE MURDERER of their son, her husband. She had organised the birthday celebration for Dushyant and nominated him for the Sarpanch post too.

Parents might be able to understand her "mahanta", her saintly act in the name of her love for Vasant and hence in the name of the family unity, she did not reveal the truth. @bold parts - Okay, so I'm just wondering what if, Kesar does blurt it out, say at max by Tuesday - but only before houseful of his own folks... what if the house stays silent until Talli's wedding falls through - showing silent resentment towards Dushyant - thereby compelling him to surrender himself - and silent but very deep disappointment in Gulaal?! So maybe the wedding will happen but as a strained drama? Then again I suppose showing such tolerance of remaining silent for the wedding sake even, can be expecting quite a lot from MB and PB as parents of Vasant who's murder secret has just come out...

Like I said before, the secret of Gulaal's abduction might die between G-D because they are the only ones who know about it anyway ... but Kesar will still have his blow to face in the form of learning the reason behind Dushyant murdering Vasant, as his want of Gulaal! The kidnapping is probably the darkest hidden secret at this point, but even without it, Kesar is going to undergo that anguish of G-D link... I strongly doubt however, his mistrusting of Gulaal again. Especially, since even if he was to waver in the sway of the moment for a bit, the guilt of being indirectly responsible for Gulaal being shown the door will take over any 'resentment' towards Gulaal - trivial or not! His agenda of standing with her with take precedence over all else, in the face of such suffering for her!

But That said - I agree Ganga - even if MB and PB were to accept Gulaal's mahaanta in protecting Dushyant for the family unity sake, understanding the extent of her greatness in actually coming to a cordial appreciation and promotion of his person is just... sort of too much to ask... perhaps in years to come one could expect them to finally come to the same page as her - because it took Gulaal all those years to come around too - but just in the face of learning such a hard hitting fact ... rather impossible. The sense of being betrayed by the two most trusted people in the house - Gulaal and Dushyant - is going to be a a catastrophe in the moment!

All that I am expecting of Kesar to say when she would be asked to leave the house will be "My wife will stay where I live until the Deeyarvatu is called off". Interesting line of thought! 👏You're right... while Gulaal shall only come to accept Kesar eventually in realization of her love back for him, and their mutual need of each other as life partners... there is now every reason to misconstrue this acceptance from her, given her strong, public, and absolute abhorrence of it previously. It's hard to explain - much less expect to be understood - that she has 'suddenly' come to feel all the love! Which we know is not sudden at all, but can an onlooker in the family be blamed to not comprehend?! Wow - that's going to be something to watch out for! And Kesar in that position is going to be so unnecessarily stuck!

Kesar still tries to make a feeble attempt at a lie😆 This continues to be incredible to me. Kuch alag khaane mein muje mazaa aaraha hai ... His worst shot at lying, ever ever ever 🤣 He'd give Loony Lovegood a run for her money with his demented attempt at 'reasoning' 😆

Gulaal's "I'm so not buying this" look😆

Gulaal's transition from came to deliver her pep talk, to gets overwhelmed yet again by his candor is soulful... I also really liked Neil's blend of hope and resignation in the confessing the truth to her. The way he gives up fibbing with to aur main kya karta... is just a statement beyond challenge, without being a rhetoric! It turns the tables on her. From Gulaal being the one to catch his 'sheepish' secret... to Gulaal becoming the one to realize how yet again she had stumbled onto yet another instance of his quiet selfless love... And the silence and underplay of his emotion on his part - only for her sake - is hitting her far more than a thousand times of proclamations each day would! With every new event she understands more of how much he loves her, and with each one of those instances, she realizes how constant his efforts have been of not letting it on to her, the love, for her sake alone...
