Gulaal runs downstairs and sees Kesar in front of fire. Kesar looks at her angrily saying that he has created a funeral pyre of her worries, today she can see her worries burn to ashes along with the clothing that caused so much trouble for her. He throws the clothing into the fire, Gulaal tries to stop it but he holds her hand tightly and prevents her. He tells her that the clothing has given her so much pain, despite not wanting it she accepted his gift because of his stubbornness, but he did not know what she would do with it. She found a very good way to get rid of it. Gulaal tries to explain but he doesn't let her. He tells her that like every time she tried to be a martyr by giving the clothing to Talli, and at the same time put Kesar down. in her eyes there is no value for Kesar's gifts, so he thought that he too would would wipe out from the face of the earth the clothing for which Gulaal had to play so many games. Gulaal looks at him crying and shocked, and tries to free her hand but he has a strong grip. Gulaal looks at the clothing burning. He asks sarcastically whether he did the right thing.
Gulaal says that she did not give Talli the clothing to put Kesar down, Kesar angrily yells asking her why she made Talli wear the clothing, and leaves Gulaal's hand pushing her back. Kesar continues that when he got it for Gulaal why did she give it to Talli, why doesn't she tell the truth that she does not like Kesar's gifts. He demands an answer why she gave it to Talli. Gulaal responds that because Talli loves him. Kesar is completely shocked hearing this. She continues that only Talli has the right over that clothing, she loves him, and has loved him since when she did not even know the meaning of love all these years expecting him to return and marry her. He tells her to not talk rubbish, Talli is just a friend. Gulaal tells him that Talli thinks of him as her world and wore that clothing thinking he got it for her and that he also likes her... Kesar stops her from going any further. Talli comes there and sees them talking. Kesar tells Gulaal to stop, Talli is just his friend, he always looked at her as his friend and nothing more, he cannot even think of marrying her. Kesar says this last part in a way that the very thought of marrying Talli is like a sin and impossible. Talli is shocked and cries hearing this.
Gulaal continues why can Kesar not think of it, Talli knows him since childhood and loves him deeply, he will not get a better life partner. Kesar yells that he cannot marry Talli, he does not love her, and turns away from Gulaal. Talli feels even more hurt and leaves.
Gulaal asks him not to say that, Talli's heart will break and she will not be able to tolerate it. What will Gulaal tell her, Gulaal promised her that Kesar would marry her, what will she tell her now. Kesar turns around to face her angrily, and says now he understands, he should marry Talli because Gulaal promised her, how could Gulaal make such a big decision about Kesar's life, that also without knowing his likes and dislikes. (Gulaal is too much. Of all the people she should understand the value of love. She herself married Vasant after falling in love with him. And all she cares about is her promise to Talli, not Kesar's feelings. I cannot believe I am seeing this side of her. I thought Kesar was her utmost priority over everyone else). Kesar cries and asks Gulaal what is the reason that she made this promise to Talli soon after Kesar left for the city. Gulaal says that the reason was just one, Talli's love for him, in her life... Kesar interrupts asking her what about Gulaal's life, who is in her life. Kesar continues that Gulaal wanted all these years that he should marry Talli only because Talli wanted to marry him, that is not true, there is another reason, she doesn't have to tell him but he will find the answer. Gulaal looks worried. Kesar leaves. Gulaal drops on the floor and weeps bitterly.
Talli runs back inside and flashbacks to Kesar's words crying. She passes Kesar's room, stops, and thinks of Chunni's words about Kesar's letters. She goes into his room and takes the letters hiding them in Kesar's shirt. (I cannot believe this girl, how dare she, how dare she poke her big fat nose into Kesar's private life, she has crossed the limit. Always entering his room and now taking all his letters away, this is too much. Girlfriend just doesn't get it, he does not love her and these antics will annoy him even more). Paan Baa comes there and asks Talli if everything is fine. She asks Talli where Kesar is, Talli says she doesn't know and came here to take his clothes for wash. She asks Talli to help her in the kitchen. Talli puts the letters in a bag in her/Gulaal's room and goes downstairs.
Kesar goes to Dushyant and tells him that he told him this morning that Kesar can ask him any question. Kesar tells him that he wants to ask him lots of questions. Dushyant says that he has to go to the village meeting in a hurry, his phone rings, Dushyant says that he will answer his questions on his return but needs to go now, and leaves. Raman overhears this and tells Kesar that he wants that person to address his questions who himself is a part of those questions. Kesar tells Raman that the other day he told him he knows why Gulaal nominated Dushyant as village head. Raman smiles. Kesar asks him to tell him why. Raman asks him to leave it, Kesar insists. Raman tells him that without fire there is no smoke, and if everyone is saying the same thing there must be some truth to it, he doesn't know what has changed in all these years, which relationships have broken or been made, but he knows one thing, there was a time when Dushyant used to love Gulaal. Kesar is shocked. Raman continues that Dushyant wanted to marry her. Kesar has tears in his eyes, heartbroken. Raman tells him that he forgot but Gulaal's deeyarvattu was supposed to happen with Dushyant, not Kesar. Kesar flashbacks to the deeyarvattu, Dushyant's stepping forward, and Gulaal's telling Kesar to wear Vasant's shoes. Raman tells Kesar that everyone knows this, God promise, and after all these years this is not impossible that Gulaal's heart must have warmed to the guy who wanted to marry her, the person who always supported her, after all Gulaal is a woman and every woman, no matter how strong, needs the support of a man. Kesar looks completely shattered. (He is so cute and like a kid, looking up all hurt at Raman, wearing his heart on his sleeve with his emotions all out for the world to see. I love him more and more).
Paan Baa and Talli are in the kitchen. Paan Baa talks but Talli is distracted and crying. She flashbacks to all the times when Kesar has teased her or been nice, and then to his bitter words. She runs away to her room crying leaving Paan Baa surprised. Gulaal comes asking for Talli, Paan Baa says something happened which is why she left suddenly. Gulaal tells her not to worry.
Gulaal goes looking for Talli and sees her dancing in front of the Goddess in anger and pain. She falls and Gulaal catches her, Talli cries bitterly and hugs Gulaal, and tells Gulaal that Kesar doesn't want to marry her and doesn't love her. (How much more damage is this girl going to cause? Kesar never showed any interest in her and never led her on, yet this girl did not see it).
Precap: Kesar tells Gulaal that Dushyant wanted to marry her and was going to do deeyarvattu with her but Gulaal refused because she knew of his bad intentions. She found out that Dushyant had done something that must have changed her life forever. Gulaal is shocked.
