Yash Pandit set to enter Betiyaan

After a long break, Yash Pandit aka Kyunki's Lakshya is all set to make a comeback on television. The actor will enter another daily Betiyaan as a new face.

"I am playing Siddharth who is a software engineer. He is a very simple guy and he basically enters the Garodia family for his marriage. He instead falls in love with another daughter of the family which obviously causes some sort of confusion and that's what my track is all about," reveals Yash.
Currently the Garodia family is looking for an idol son-in-law for one of the daughters Gauri. But Siddharth eventually ends up falling in love with Jhoomki – the other daughter. The family staggered with his decision then finds itself in an impasse over which daughter they should support.

As of now, Yash's role will be a cameo but he says it might lengthen too. "It's a very positive and a strong character. Considering this fact my role might get extended depending on the audience's response," informs Pandit.

Yash Pandit shot to fame when he replaced Pulkit Samrat in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Lakshya.

His entry on the show will be telecast on December10.

Jasveer not game for baby sitting
Jasveer Kaur is a stressed lady. The one who is causing her stress is a tiny tot. The actress is having a hard time in looking after her reel life baby.

Pavitra (Jasveer) gives birth to baby boy in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. As part of the track, Jasveer is required to shoot maximum scenes with baby Naman. The trouble here is that it's the tiny tot who decides the schedule for her. This has caused lot of stress to Jasveer. She also finds it difficult to handle the baby and hence prefers to stay away from the baby unless required.

Well, our advice to Jasveer is to not to be so distraught. After all, she's getting a crash course in baby sitting. One day or the other, she too will become a mother.

Romit Raj injured

Romit Raj who plays Yuvraaj in Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan has injured his leg while rehearsing for the upcoming Platinum Awards. The actor was to open the proceedings.

"I was going to be a part of the opening act. However while I was practicing I fell down and injured my leg. I have sprained my ankle and my back is hurting a lot too," informs Rohit who is now nursing his injury.

The injury has now forced Romit to pull out of the awards ceremony scheduled for the weekend in Dubai.

"So now I have backed out of the performance due to my leg. Now I will I guess only attend the ceremony if I will get a time to go there," says the actor.

"I had knee problem in the past also. I was still on medication for it. I am taking pain killers also but still cannot move around or bend down properly. I got a jolt while rehearsing and it was very severe," he adds.

Romit who is shooting for two dailies says despite being hurt quite badly, he has to still report to work.

"I cannot take a leave as right now in both the shows important tracks are going on. So during the shoot I go in my room and take a quick nap. It does help me," he says.

Romit has got nomination for the best actor at the Platinum Awards.

"I think awards do not give you recognition. It is the appreciation and love of your fans. Moreover I will give the entire credit for my nomination to both my units. According to me no actor is bigger than his show. However awards are not that important for me," he says matter of fact.

Lastly talking about his track in both the shows he says,"In Betiyaan I'm fooling my family and helping Kajri and in Maayka I will come out of the ICU soon."

Romit to kill his father in Betiyaan

Ever since the serials have back on air since the black out, every show is busy surprising the viewers by adding more and more spice in the form of thriller element. The latest serial set to add a twist in its tale is Betiyaan. The buzz suggests that Romit who plays Yuvraj will kill his own father in the show.

According to a source, Pavitra (Jasveer Kaur) will provoke her husband Yuvraj against the whole Garodia family and this will turn him negative. She will instigate Yuvraj to kill his father, Suryakant Garodia played by Yatin Karyekar.

"Yuvraj will be brainwashed by Pavitra. As a result, he will throw his father out of a yacht…that's how it will all happen," informs Romit.

After some while, Pavitra will also incite Yuvraj to throw everyone out of the house and they will all be on the streets.

It will then be Jhumki (Sonia Singh) who will act as a savior for the entire family. She will work and earn and take care of the family. Her marriage with Siddharth will how ever break as he will discover that she was a prostitute.

So will his audience accept him portraying a negative role?

"Earlier in Betiyaan Yuvraj was a complete brat and people loved that, so I don't think there'll be any problem as such," says the actor confidently, "When Betiyaan started, Yuvraj was negative and I thoroughly enjoyed playing that. Aisa nahi hai ki I don't like playing positive, Maayka mein Jeet ka character is poora positive and I love that too"

The sequence of Yuvraj murdering his father has already been shot and it will be telecast this week end.

Romit Raj brings Ghajini to Maayka

Romit Raj's character Jeet in Maayka is currently suffering from a memory loss. The lad says he is inspired by Aamir's character in Ghajini and is hoping to give a similar inspiring performance on the small screen.

"Aamir has done a fabulous job in Ghajini. In fact he's just too good in all his movies," praises Romit, "We've gone the Ghajini way in our show… the way Jeet loses his memory is similar to how Sanjay Singhania loses his memory in the film. Cherry sends her gundas who hit Jeet hard thrice with a rod on his head and as a result he loses his memory."
Is his role completely inspired from the movie?

"Ya… you can say that but the only difference is that Sanjay Singhania undergoes a short term memory loss but it's not the same with Jeet. He doesn't have to click pictures and keep in his pocket to remember people," he laughs.

The Maayka guy says he's a big fan of Aamir and he has watched the movie 7 times.

"I've studied 3 actors in my life - Mr. Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Aamir Khan. He's my biggest inspiration," boasts the star.

The actor tells us that there is something which he has even extracted from Aamir's character in the movie as he says "His approach definitely is different but the way he is curious to know about his past, that hope which he has in his eyes… I am following that in my character, just trying to get that eagerness."

"There are two scenes that I really enjoyed doing. One was when Soni who has now come in the form of Bela comes in front of Jeet and he doesn't recognize her but there are some flashbacks…this was too touchy. Secondly during Soni's death sequence, Jeet tries to jump from the cliff," adds Romit.

Romit says he loves this new role. "It's a fantastic experience... This is the 1st time I am playing something like this."
