Betiyann's Gauri to fall in love

The upcoming track of Betiyann will be filled with romance. There will a new entry in the show that will be paired opposite Gauri, with whom she will eventually fall in love. And if sources are to be believed then amit dua and Omar Vani of Vivaah have been approached for the role.

Informs a source from the show, "We roped in karan hakku to pair opposite Jhanvi and the track has been received well by the viewers. We now want to bring in another romantic track with the entry of this new guy in the show. He is a rich brat and is pampered by his mother. For him nothing else is more important than his mother. He will be paired opposite Gauri on the show. Since he is a brat, the two will have their share of ups and downs but will eventually fall in love. The production house has approached Amit Dua of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and Omar Vani of Vivaah fame for the same."

We contacted Amit Dua but he refused to comment on it.

Gunjan out of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann

Gunjan Walia, who has been a part of Creative Eye's Ghar Ki Laksmi Betiyann for one and half years now, has decided to opt out of the show. The actress had replaced Twinkle Bajpai as protagonist Lakshmi in the show. It is to her credit that Gunjan was accepted instantly by the viewers.

A source from the show informs, "Gunjan Walia replaced Twinkle Bajpai, the original lead of the show. She stepped into her shoes so well that people simply forgot Twinkle. But now the actress has decided to opt out of the show. She has been married thrice in the show and the current track has nothing new to offer. Along with Gauri's bidaai (parting) on the show as she is getting married, there will take place Gunjan's bidaai (parting) from the show."

"Since, Gunjan had done a brilliant job as Lakshmi one can't think of replacing her. The creative team will get rid of the character now. Apprently, Lakshmi will receive a call from her husband who is based abroad. He wants her back and thus Lakshmi leaves to be with her husband forever," states our source.

When contacted Gunjan Walia confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I will no longer be a part of the show. I can't say that I am quitting the show as it's a mutual decision taken by the production house and me. I had been a part of this show for the past one and a half years and the character of Lakshmi is very close to my heart. I had a word with the production house and the channel and they have been very understanding to permit me to quit the show. I will always be very thankful to Dheeraj Kumar for offering me such a beautiful and promising role in the show. Lakshmi made me more popular as an actress."

Would she miss her co-actors? "The entire cast of Betiyann is like family to me and I am very attached to them. I am going to miss all my co-actors Kshitee Jog, Aishwarya Narkar, Soni Singh, Smriti Mohan, Aliza Khan. I am going to miss the sets of the show. I will keep dropping in to spend time with them. I also want to thank all my fans who have given me love and have accepted me as Lakshmi," signs off the actress.

Gunjan Walia takes a break from Betiyaan

Gunjan Walia, who plays Laxmi on Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan, needs a break and so she'll be absent from the small screen for a while. But don't worry, she promises to be back after her one-month-long holiday.

Gunjan is quick to clarify that she isn't leaving Betiyaan, saying, "It's not like I'm leaving the show. My character Laxmi's track is not focused on now. Janhvi's wedding is about to take place and the rest of my sisters will also be shown going back to their own house. Then, they will show Janhvi's married life."
As for her break, she's keen to go somewhere where she can cool off. She says, "It is so hot here in Mumbai. I want to get out of here! But these days, up North is also burning. So I might go to places like Dalhousie for holidays, though I have not decided yet."

The actress had no problem convincing her production house, Creative Eye, that she needed a break. She says, "I told my producer Dheeraj Kumarji that since I don't have anything to do, he should allow me to take leave. He agreed. We all understand that it becomes monotonous to play the same kind of character for so long. I have not finished shooting as of now but I should by the first week of June."

Gunjan has gotten so used to going to the sets everyday that she says she's going to miss her costars when she is on holiday. She adds, "I am going to miss Kshitij, Smriti, Aishwarya, Suchitra, Soni and everyone. We celebrate all sorts of days. Recently, we celebrated Fool's Day too on the sets. I am sure they will plan some sort of surprise for me on the last day of our shooting. My costars are a bit upset about me leaving but it is only going to be for a maximum of one month."

And just in case the audience misses Gunjan too much during her absence from the small screen, the production house has decided to start on her track as soon as she returns from her break.

Talking about Betiyaan, Gunjan feels grateful for being given a chance to perform on such a popular show. She says, "I loved the channel, they have given me so much freedom. All the right things fell into the right place and I bagged the role."

Gunjan reveals that she is also looking at offers to do other shows, saying, "I have a couple of offers but have not accepted any as yet. I will meet up with people and after coming back from my holiday, I might take up a show."

Before Gunjan Walia, Twinkle Bajpai played Laxmi on Betiyaan.

Gunjan Walia Walks Out On Sachin Verma!

Choices such as marriage are usually taken only after they are given a good deal of thought. If not, the consequences can be agonizing as well as troublesome. And possibly that's what has happened with Sachin Verma, who climbed the ladder of success with Kumkum and Reth and Gunjan Walia, whose claim to fame was Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye and the very recent Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan.

Within just four months of meeting each other, this tellyland couple had a surprise engagement planned by their families. Not only did Sachin go all out and declare that 'she is the girl' for him, but also took efforts to propose to her by inserting a ring in a cookie and ordering it for her at a restaurant. Needless to say, the lady, of course, was bowled over by this gesture and they decided to tie the knot.

However, only a year into this sanctimonious institution, Sachin and Gunjan's nuptials seem to have hit a dead end. In merely two months of their marriage, the two started living separately. Even though both of them tried to make everything appear perfect from the outside, they couldn't stop cracks in their marriage from being visible sooner or later. Rumour mills started doing the rounds when Gunjan moved into her parents' home.

According to sources close to the couple, they have surely filed for a divorce. What went wrong between the two is still not clear. It could be the fact that the couple had some major monetary issues as Gunjan belongs to a very wealthy family but insiders insist that their relationship was going through a lot of strain for more than a month because of the differences in opinion that cropped up between them after they started living together.

Says a reliable source, "People were quite surprised when they tied the knot so soon but the fact that they looked so much in love cleared all the doubts everyone had then. Alas! Even the love that bound them together couldn't last the test of time. Their problems have reached a height of no return and although Gunjan is still in love with him she isn't willing to compromise as they have too many issues."

Common friends of the couple also maintain that Gunjan hasn't even discussed the reasons the two parted ways with people close to her except for her family as she is still nursing a broken heart. Sachin, on the other hand, believes that the damage is irreparable and is in no mood for any kind of reconciliation.

We tried to get in touch with Gunjan but she remained unavailable for comment. Although, when we spoke to Sachin regarding his marital break-up, he thought for a few minutes before replying to our question. There was a certain amount of anguish in his voice as he resolutely maintained, "This is the one thing that I don't want to talk about at all."

That there is trouble in their paradise is pretty evident. And even though they're reluctant to confirm their impending divorce right now, we'll keep you posted when they finally decide to break their silence.
