I didn't touch my laptop all weekend except to like all your posts. Sorry I have been lagging behind in responding, but I needed this weird sort of IF cleansing...😆
I will be writing a long pending update for Will-O'-the-Wisp and be back here by tomorrow.
While I'm gone, keep guessing the precap of the update that is a new addition before the Half-cafe post. It only seems logical in my head to follow this sequence.
Her eyes widened, the brown of her iris rounding with worry, "What do you mean Mr. Fibonacci?"
Precap 1
Her eyes widened, the brown of her iris rounding with worry, "What do you mean Mr. Fibonacci?""Oh! no..." Meera cried, slapping her forehead in an act of dramatization that did just what it was intended to, peaking her curiosity further.
"You did not...You just don't walk around dictating facts to MK" She saw Meera's face contort from an agonized disbelief."Don't you remember the five word axiom that everyone who works in corporate should know?"
"What? Don't ever date your boss?" She asked slightly fazed with all the theatrics, which only she was entitled to between the best of friends.
"No...I mean, Yes! of course..." Meera rolled her eyes, "That and the fact that The boss is always right..." Meera dragged at end, sounding irrationally impatient, confirming all the more what she already feared was irreversible.
"But Maan didn't even speak back"
She got off her desk, putting her one feet down in an annoyed stomp, "MK...MK...MK...Do you get it?" She sunk back in her seat cushion, her head jerking back from never having seen Meera go berserk like that in the years they'd known each other "Not Maan. MK! This is not Hoshiarpur to go addressing everyone by their first name. He prefers to be called MK. Don't make it personal"
"But..." She was beginning to sound unsure herself right then, recollecting the vague premises in which she'd met him.(Ok! That was more than a precap...I got carried away writing it). A word of caution about the Sangria update where Geet gets drunk. This will be written afresh, with new dialogues, new situation and all. Old timers, don't give up on me...I'm moving it to the Gym sit-out.
Precap 2 The orange lanterns strung over the entire stretch lolled in the gentle evening breeze, as if the night had come up with a hundred suns for the occasion, while the opulent lush scents of yellowing maple and dark cinnamon lingered in the air.
She smiled watching him lean on his hands, carelessly perched over the edge of the wall, his hair being ruffled by the last of the wind that was beginning to quiet down, his tie loosened at his neck as a school boy's and his eyes were else where lost without searching.
The line progressed by the food counters and she picked a mini peach tart for dessert to go stand by the far end of the sit-out that was still surprisingly unoccupied.
"What?..." She could see him in the corner of her eye, even before she could look up, placing him to her left "No complicatedly simple beverages tonight?
"No..." She said without looking, "I figured I will have complex for company, so why bother making it complicated..." She tilted her head towards him, "Don't you think?"
