an12345678 - That depends on perspective and we hold no right to judge ones. Some relate and understand one character more than the other and present their view in accordance to it, thats their right as much as it is ours to say our views. I don't think anyone holds any right to question or judge other persons pov it is that person's alone as your's is not questionable so is theirs. We can only so much as share ours not challenge theirs as its 'personal point of view' not general or to please all pov.

@sann - There are many disclaimers which probably you missed and only we saw it they are plain rude and mean exactly what you pointed out... "You jerk,if you dont agree stay away" I dont want to paste links here though.

Questioning womanhood and sanity are recent developments back very long back a bunch of us were called hamonally imbalanced bunch of females. So its the duty of members to report such comments and mod's duty to take appropriate action.
The policing job is that of Mods... Infact i have been asked by some TMs to get out of their threads just because i disagreed with them. If there had been any bashing involved from my side then i would have got a warning from mods... That itself explains i was only trying to have healthy discussion...

@ Kuls: My apologies for answering to a reply you posted to An. But, if I were a troublemaker -- the kind you want to preempt, are such disclaimers going to deter me?

Is such a disclaimer akin to a placebo we resort to assure ourselves and not the true effective remedy for the malady?

When i say "Geet was rude when she asked Maan to leave" That is pointout out her mistake. that is a crticism... That opens a healthy discussion. But the moment i call Geet Rude... Geet fans would be on me for bashing her!
But when i say Geet only deserves this...Maan should leave her and go to someone else... Geet should rot in hell for doing this to Maan... That i consider bashing! which should be repoted accordning to me!
Again this is subjective! The subject can be a fictious charcater or a forum member!

Thats the whole thing about, perspective and subjective. But things turn bitter when we stress or force our views on others by questioning theirs. Who are we to question or judge a fellow members pov. if its right according to IF COC, we are all here to share ours, discuss our views with others not contest them. No one has the right or qualification to judge others pov as right or wrong. The difference between sharing/giving your pov and questioning/judging others pov when diminishes then only such needs arise to stop being subjected to such comments.

But Rati... honestly such disclaimers only rage the people who disagree. Which propmts the members to be rude on the TM. One cannot stop me from posting my views if i want to if you know what i mean.
The discussion topics are not Invite only CC where one is prohibted from posting anything unless invited. So if that is what the TM wants why cant they create invite only posts..😊

All the disclaimers are used for inviting a healthy discussion. Not a discussion where one member questions another whether she's a woman or not and if she's mentally imbalanced.

Rati has quoted my comment wherein I have mentioned some of the disclaimers I found offensive. I haven't reported anyone of them but felt strongly enough about it and hence created the post. If you want I can PM you the links as well. The comment that you are talking about- did get reported and the mods did take action. So it did get resolved.

One should than support topic on no rude or insulting disclaimer its not like any disclaimer. As some one said above using disclaimer is still my right I will use it for my self defense.
And your underlined comment made it clear how important is to use disclaimer as I don't want to be on receiving side of snide remarks as you were once. But sill if you don't want to use this right on your post and invite healthy discussion. I am fine with it.
IF has given us right using or not using, it is our own choice untill its not rude.😊

As I said it my right and choice to use it, if its effective or not I can only make judgment on it not anyone else.

But If I am using it it gives clear indication probably its working fine for me. Than I don't think any need to question my choice or right. All I know I have right I will use it.

Sensible kind of disclaimer can be expected to refrain a few reported members who unnecessarily come, create blunders & start world war. Even mod's will agree on this.

And what Preethi comment made it clear how important is to use disclaimer as I don't want to be on receiving side of snide remarks as she stated she was subjected to.😊
