@Lily- It was bad semantics on my part- I did equate your post with your opinion. Point taken.

I do not know you well enough, considering we have just met, to be able to understand the hidden meaning or purport behind your words. The same goes for the general public on the forum- we will take your words at face value. So please choose them wisely.

@Hindu4lyf: I think as a mod- they do need to be cognizant of everyones viewpoint. EVeryone who has commented on this thread has claimed that there have been vicious attacks on their person/being - hence the disclaimer. I guess Jyo is try to assuage those fears- by allowing disclaimers that ask such people to stay away. She has clearly said that people are free to post anywhere they wish as long as it is not abusive or insulting. I am guessing everyone is good with this.

But you're missing the main point I'm trying to make here that disclaimers have served NO purpose whatsoever. If anything, there has been increased fights between members and it has made things a LOT worse.

Anyway, I have to admit it makes things a hell of a lot more fun when people post disclaimers telling members who disagree not to post because I'm all the more likely to write a comment on their topic and disagree with them.😛These 'vicious attacks' don't happen because there is or isn't a disclaimer..it all depends on the content of the topic.

Jyoti has simply repeated the IF COC that is already in place..I'm sorry but that to me is not what I call a compromise. No real action has been taken.
