The present developments in Gangaa are so frustrating to say the least, that I am compelled to write this post. It has become extremely important to remind the team of a certain things that Gangaa promised to stand for. In this context, I put forth my observations: -
(1) Stop stressing out: - I think you people are too overwhelmed by the response from the audience, the TRPs etc. and all that has created a pressure on you, which in turn is drying up your creativity. Don't do anything to please anyone, keep the innocence intact...have u seen a baby do anything to please anyone?? Yet, everyone finds a baby adorable, because it is pure and not looking to please anyone. Their innocence is their charm. Same goes with creativity...stop taking the pressure of pleasing the audience. Do not insert Ishqnasheen, out of the blue, just because we are asking u to...weave it to the story convincingly.(2) Play to your strengths: - Gangaa's biggest strength has been the actors. You people are bang on with the casting of every single person and are lucky enough to have found a bunch of talented individuals. This is not just to say Hiten, Aditi and Vishal...but EVERYONE...I mean Gungun, Sushmitaji, Sudha Bua, Maharajji, Supriya, Pulkit, all the child artists et.al. They have breathed life into their roles. Ensure that the actors have good scenes, good etched-out characters and growth in character. The Chaturvedi people can be very well explored, instead of ending their roles...trust me it'll take away substantially from the show.
(3) Can we have the STORY please?:- Alright, now this aspect has been the most worrying of all the factors. Guys, please concentrate on the story...for that, stick to the basic rules...do not go hay- wire...focus on Character consistency, the basic message that the show intends to give and viewing compatibility.
(4) Remember this is Drama: - The makers have forgotten the zone that the show belongs to...it comes within the genre of DRAMA and not some cheap THRILLER. Why are u guys obsessed about showing twists and turns?? This is a family show, the emotional elements are not given a chance to evolve. Bring some thehrav please. Like, the way you have dedicated almost 7 episodes to show Sagar's trauma...and how he is guilt-ridden and thereby making blunders in the court. This is justified. The audience appreciates it...am glad u did not rush through his emotional turmoil...it was only after his visit to his Dadi and family that calmed him a bit and is now making him saner enough to think logically. So...take it easy, don't rush through things.
(5) PALASH: - I had to bring in him as a separate head of discussion. The way u turned him negative is just a criminal waste of a character. Especially, after u created a legitimate expectation before the audience by giving him an idealist image. I mean, were u guys doping when u came up with the BRILLIANT idea of making him negative. Or were also drugged by those Rantox company Drugs??? This was the heights of CRAP that we have been served till now. I will now not be shocked, if Jaanvi's Aatma now comes to the court and gives the real story and the court accepting it. I will also not be shocked, if Palash is killed and comes back as a Mosquito or a fly or an insect to bite Sagar...something like Sasural Simar Ka. Do u get the drift!!!
(6) There is no CLOSURE at all: - The audience is desperate to seek closure in the built-up events. I mean, why is Janvi garnering sympathies...I also don't think that she deserved death as a punishment but certainly an appropriate punishment in her lifetime. Now, after so many days of her death also, the proceedings are just going hay-wire and NOTHING absolutely NOTHING OF Janvi's deeds have come out in the open.
(7) PLEASE STAY POSITIVE: - Just the way, the makers keep reminding us that this is a fiction and the audience cannot expect logic all the time. As a member of the audience, I also request you to remember this is FICTION...people watch the show to relieve themselves of their daily life stress...so instead of harping upon the negativity, please bring on positivity. U are turning Madhavi (Post-leap), Jaanvi, Palash negative...why can you not show persons turning positive ever. Why are u obsessed with this?? I mean, your TRPs would not have been affected if u had kept Palash positive...trust me on this! Why do u think the audience complains when Supriya is not in sight? Please understand
(8) LASTLY: - Please be true to the story and tell us, if u need help with the character developments, I understand every writer goes through a Writer's block...so, if u r stuck somewhere...will be ready to help. I can do at least this much, for the love of the show that I still nurture.
